You may have heard of Court from Court’s Internet Marketing School. I found him through Griz’s Make Money blogger blog, another great resource for learning how to make money online. But the Keyword Crash Course offers a structured program on how to make money blogging. Griz definitely knows his stuff, being ranked #1 for the keyword Make Money Online, and I recommend his site to everyone just getting started in niche marketing, but I like the structured way Court and Mark teach at The Keyword Academy.

Like I said I’ve only been involved with Internet Marketing since late last year and this is NOT one of my money blogs. I have stated before that I only use this site to review and promote different affiliate programs that I find interesting or useful. I do have some affiliate ads in the sidebar and footer, but they are recently added. This site doesn’t really see much traffic as I don’t promote it. A few posts see heavy traffic, but overall Residual Income Online doesn’t rank for any money terms.

What I’m getting at is that I have learned a lot from Griz about how to use adsense to make money and how to target keywords to bring traffic to my sites and I’ve applied a lot of his magic to make money online but I still find myself asking, “Now what?” when all is said and done. I’m an all-over-the-place kind of person. I need structure to help me focus. That’s where The Keyword Crash Course comes in for me. Mark and Court have developed a program based on their experiences in the IM world and are showing people how to successfully set up small niche blogs to make money.

It’s an honest approach that explains that you need to be patient to make money blogging. It doesn’t happen overnight. The bottom line is it won’t happen for about a year. Why a year? Because to get your site to rank high in Google you need incoming links and if you get too many links too soon Google will penalize your site and sandbox you. Getting sandboxed means that your site gets de-indexed from Google’s database and no one will find you using your keywords.

That’s not to say you won’t start making money out of the gate. There’s just a lot of initial work and promotion and time that goes into getting each blog to the point where it can take off on its own and rank high in Google’s SERPs (Search Engine Results Pages). It takes a lot of resources and time to get it to where you are receiving a fulltime passive income online.

Their system is great though. You start with a couple videos to learn how to find good solid keywords and you move through blog creation and promotion. There’s a formula for calculating which keywords are money makers and there are all kinds of excel sheets for record keeping to track your progress and all kinds of sweet bonus features like an article database to post articles for backlinks. It’s actually a really simple system to follow and it’s all legit. There’s nothing illegal or “black hat” about their program. It’s secret formula is discipline and persistence, which without that structured guidance I do not possess.

When you sign up you have two choices: The basic membership, which gives you access to all the videos and excel spreadsheets and all the special bonuses and the premium membership, which is all of the basic stuff with the added bonus of downloadable webinars and access to the Keyword Crash Course Forums. This is a great place for beginners to interact with vets and to share experiences on making money online. Everyone is there to help each other and I’ve already gleaned a ton of insight into internet marketing in the few weeks I’ve been there.

“So how much is this going to cost me”, you’re asking. $1. Yep. It cost just one dollar to join. No catch. One dollar. After one month you either pay twenty-none dollars for the basic membership or thirty-three dollars for the premium membership. If you ask me it’s better to spend the extra four bucks on the premium membership and get access to the forums. You are going to have questions and the forums are the easiest way to get answers almost immediately.

I’m not going to go into backlinks and their importance because for one, there are a gazillion sites already that talk about this and I am not interested in rehashing the subject. Just know that backlinks are your bread and butter for getting your site ranked high on Google’s pages. The more backlinks, the more authority your site has, and the higher you rank.

So for me getting backlinks has been a chore. For one, I don’t like tooling around begging for links from other sites, mainly because the site owners expect to be reciprocated and unless you have other sites in their niche that you can link to, you’re faced with a link exchange. And that just isn’t going to get you much link juice. Another thing is that I just don’t have time to manually submit unique content to 1000 article directories. That’s one thousand unique articles on the same subject. I barely have the patience to submit a couple articles a week to Ezine Article Submission, GoArticles and a handful of others. I’m just a lazy marketer.

That’s why Unique Article Wizard has been a beautiful experience for me. It’s a little costly at $67 a month for those on a tight budget, don’t let me mislead you; but the reward is the hundreds of relevant backlinks you get through submitting one article.

They do all the hard work. It usually takes less than 24 hours for them to approve my submissions and then I just sit back and watch the links and traffic come in. Well worth the $67 a month if you ask me.

Even if you use it for just one month, you will see fantastic results. That’s what I did my first time. $67 wasn’t really in my budget at the time, but I did it for one month and submitted two articles for two different sites (I know, I should have done more and used it for more of my sites but I was a little skeptical and afraid of being sandboxed). I set each article to submit to 20 sites a day. That’s a little conservative, but like I said, I was wary of getting banned. And by the end of the month, one article went out to 800 sites, the other 650 sites. Now that isn’t really a lot, but my sites’ niches are a little obscure to begin with so I was impressed that they went out to that many sites at all.

One of my sites, in a month’s time, received over 100 quality backlinks, which pushed it up to number one for several keywords and has increased my traffic enough to pay for Unique Article Wizard’s monthly fee. And some of the backlinks are from PR3 sites. Now most of the sites are PR1, PR0, but they are all indexed and ranked so the backlinks are quality links.

The third way UAW benefits you is that it has an affiliate program to help you pay for the service. They provide your affiliate link in your submission so that if someone clicks your article link and signs up to UAW, you get paid. It’s a two tier system. You get 40% for any referral and 10% for a referral’s referral. They also supply you with links and banners and an affiliate code for your websites. I think finding a credit card with bad debt isn’t going to be the toughest job in the world but I probably won’t get one with a low interest or no fee. But that’s fine. Just knowing how to get a credit card with bad credit is the hard part. I’ll probably get a crappy high interest credit card but hopefully they will offer some kind of balance transfer discount and I can pay off the other account. I just want to salvage my credit score and get things set straight for the future.

Or I could just find one, make a small purchase to start a new history and sit on it after I pay off the balance. I’ve read somewhere that using a credit card is the easiest way to build your credit but going overboard on spending will only sink you further in debt and I want to avoid that at all costs. I’ve already seen my credit score jump tens of points over the past year just from the payments I’ve made on my current debt. Hopefully I can get that one paid down enough to be able to take out a mortgage on a house. That’s my goal anyway.

I don’t really want to have to use another credit card but I know that in order for my credit score to rise I have to use one. But it probably works for small purchases as long as I pay off the balance on time and don’t incur any late fees. Limiting myself is the key. I love to buy useless crap and sometimes it seems like I have a bunch of free money with the high credit limit on my credit card and fighting that temptation to spend money is like fighting the devil on your shoulder, but I’ll have to force myself to control my spending.

I can do it. Whatever.

Wow, I didn’t mean for this to turn into such a rant. Anyway, if you’ve had any luck finding a credit card with bad credit let me know how you did it.

There are plenty of online scams promising you you’ll make millions by using their product but none do it as shamelessly as the folks at Site Build It or what is now SiteSell.com. One of the things they tell you to do is submit your website to as many search engines as you can. What? Really? That’s all it takes to launch a successful business online? Because the last time I tried this (back when I was little more noobish than I am now) I got indexed, um, never. Okay maybe it happened after about eight months but that might as well be never when you are trying to make money online. But that’s what Site Build It suggests.

Another thing that shows the uselessness of this program is that nearly every site built with Site Build It is a site promoting SBI. So Site Build It looks like a total scam to me. I wouldn’t waste my money on it. But then again I may be totally wrong about this. I can’t say for sure since I haven’t used it, but I do know the tools they offer to help you build a website or blog online can be found and utilized for free. Do not pay $300 for Site Build It.

Nobody likes being in debt and most people will try anything to get out of debt fast. It doesn’t happen overnight but it can happen faster than you might expect. And you can do it with John Cummutta’s Transforming Debt Into Wealth program. But there are steps you can take to side step the program and get out of debt yourself.

Then you take 10% of your monthly pay and put that money toward your credit card debt on top of the monthly payment you already pay. That creates a snowball effect of debt elimination and pays down your balance faster while costing you less in interest fees.

The one thing I didn’t agree with this method is John says to pay down your smallest debt first. People feel better when they see results and paying off a smaller debt first offers instant gratification of sorts. However, if your largest credit card debt is on a high interest credit card than your smallest debt you are paying more in interests anyway. He should amend his Transforming Debt Into Wealth program to paying off highest interest debt first.

There is a download available with the Transforming Debt Into Wealth program which is basically a webinar. It’s full of great info but can be a little droning. Mr. Cummuta has a way of cutting to the chase though. You have to with this kind of information, the topic is so boring you’d fall asleep otherwise. He lays it out in a step by step guide which is very easy to follow. It’s not revolutionary information but it is a practical way to eliminating your debt and getting debt free fast.

The one thing I did enjoy about the program is the motivation John offers after you’ve obtained your debt free goals. He says to take that same money you were putting towards your debt elimination and put in into savings. If you drop that money into a 10% interest savings account by the time you are ready to retire you could have a sizeable amount waiting for you.

There are other programs out there like John Cummuta’s but his is the simplest and easiest to understand. I recommend that you purchase it, keep it for the trial period and then return it if it doesn’t work for you. There’s nothing left to lose by doing so. John Cummuta’s Transforming Debt Into Wealth is worth it for that bit at least.

While everything about Today.com is free, Google ads monetize your blog to help support the platform, so you cannot use your own adsense account to make money but it is a free blogging tool that you can use to support your main blog by use of backlinks. Use the free blog for backlinks to your main site. You will get indexed pretty quickly by Google, too. Today.com is a dominant domain and has real authority.

All you have to do is apply to Today.com for your free blog. It takes about a week to be approved but then you are free to blog about whatever topic you choose. Just make sure you know what you want your topic to be because unlike Blogger.com once you are approved you cannot change the URL to your blog.

How much money your blog makes depends on the topic and traffic, of course, but you get paid right away. Most sites make you wait until you get the traffic to pay you. Not at Today.com.
