Added encoding presets with additional bit-rate settings for XDCAM HD.
Added Automatic Peak File Generation preference in the Audio category for turning off automatic peak file generation for imported audio. By default, this preference is enabled and matches the behavior of Premiere Pro CS6 (6.0.0). When this preference is disabled, importing audio or opening projects will not cause peak files to be generated. If peak files were already generated, then waveforms will be visible. Files imported before the preference was disabled will continue to generate peak files.
Enabled "smart rendering" and added Enable Smart Rendering Codec setting to the Video tab of the MXF OP1a exporters for XDCAM HD and XDCAM EX to enable or disable smart rendering for these formats. This option defaults to the off/disabled state. We'll have more information about this feature in a post on this blog within a day.

Bug Fixes:

Start timecode was not imported or exported correctly when working with AAF files.
Some files from the Canon 5D Mark III camera were imported with the wrong timecode.
Playing/viewing waveforms in the Source Monitor caused audio dropouts with some XDCAM HD clips.
NTSC MXF OP1a files that were exported with drop-frame timecode had video data that was tagged as non-drop-frame.
Switching the Renderer project setting from Mercury Playback Engine Software Only to Mercury Playback Acceleration GPU Acceleration on a computer using OpenCL caused Premiere Pro to crash under some circumstances. Switching between the two settings on a computer using CUDA would in some cases cause problems with video and/or audio playback.
Crash when using full-screen, cinema mode on some computer systems.
Tape capture was not working correctly with some third-party systems.
Crash when capturing from tape using some BlackMagic hardware.
An extra, black frame was included at the end of the output when exporting to P2 MXF in some circumstances.
First two frames were being played twice on external monitor using Matrox MXO2.
Crash when using "hover scrub" with Matrox MXO2.
Audio/video synchronization was off by a few frames when playing video on external monitor.
The Export Frame button was not exporting the correct frame, instead exporting a frame one or two frames away from the current frame.
Some audio files and some MXF files would go offline or have their audio reconformed when the project was re-opened or when Premiere Pro was minimized or lost focus.
Crash when modifying an effect property while playback was occurring.
Hang/freeze when using a dissolve transition on an adjustment layer.
Dropped frames and audio/video synchronization issues when exporting to tape using some third-party hardware.
Information about dropped frames on output to tape was not accessible to third-party systems.
Some QuickTime files were imported with the wrong field order.
When audio was sent through a Mercury Transmit plug-in, any number of channels that was not 2 or 6 was treated as mono.
In HDV editing mode, File > Export > Tape could not be used with third-party hardware.
The current-time indicator (playhead) was not returning to the current time after using the Play Around command.
Last several frames of output when exporting to tape were black.
When encoding a 23.976 fps video to H.264, the duration of the video in the output .m4v file was too short, and audio drifted out of synchronization with the video.
Transparency (alpha channel) information from a dynamically linked After Effects composition was rendered incorrectly in Premiere Pro.
Importing some QuickTime OP1a files caused Premiere Pro to hang.
The duration of the audio track sent to SpeedGrade using the Send To SpeedGrade command was the length of the entire Premiere Pro sequence, not the length of the work area.
Timecode written to trimmed clips using the Project Manager did not match the source timecode for some QuickTime files.

Bug Fixes:

Several bugs with the global performance cache were fixed, which were causing the cache to not be invalidated at some times when it should have been. This meant that sometimes old, invalid image information was being read from the cache and used instead of re-rendering when an aspect of the composition had changed.
If you encounter a remaining bug of this sort, purging the cache will generally fix the problem (choosing Edit > Purge > All Image Memory to clear RAM cache and Empty Disk Cache in Media & Disk Cache preferences to clear disk cache). If you encounter such a bug after installing this update, let us know by submitting a detailed bug report, being especially certain to list any third-party effects used.
One remaining known issue of this sort relates to font substitution: If you load a project with a missing font, After Effects will substitute a placeholder font. If you then install the missing font, After Effects may not update cached image information with the new font. So, if you install a font after loading a project for which that font was reported as missing, purge the cache to force the cached image information to be updated with the new font.
Effects that use the composition camera (e.g., Shatter) did not render correctly in orthogonal and custom views, or when changing the active camera.
After Effects would crash when evaluating some expressions, including expressions added by the Ease & Wizz script, expressions using the this keyword, in-line functions, and nested functions.
After Effects was returning an error "After Effects Error: Ray Traced 3D: ... (5070::0)" under various circumstances. Several of these have been isolated and fixed. If you get such an error message after installing this update, let us know by submitting a detailed bug report.
Crash on quit if Nvidia cards running in Maximus configuration are running in TCC mode (on Windows).

Pickpocket Safari Extension lets you access, search, and open links from your Pocket (formerly Read It Later) account without needing to visit the site.

The extension has two basic modes of operation.

In list mode, clicking Pickpocket's toolbar button will open a popover containing a list of your Pocket links. Initially, the popover will list all of your unread links. You can search all your links by typing something in the search bar.

In tabs mode, when you click the toolbar button, Pickpocket will simply open all of your unread links in new tabs. (If you have more than 10 unread links, the extension will ask you to confirm opening them.)

In either mode, when you close an unread link's tab, Pickpocket will ask you whether you want to archive the link. If you say yes, it'll tell Pocket to mark the link as read, which moves the link from your queue to your archive. Optionally, you can set Pickpocket to always archive (or not archive) closed links without asking.

A new Timeline menu is now available in the app's main menu bar. It contains a number of functions that previously were only available as buttons in the Timeline view. They also have shortcut keys for easier access:

- Next frame - Cmd + right arrow
- Previous frame - Cmd + left arrow
- Keyframe All Motion Properties - Cmd + 5
- Add Shape Pose - Cmd + 6
- Clear Motion Keyframe - Shift + Cmd + 5

Some functions that were previously only available in the toolbar or in the Timeline view have been added to the File menu.
There are now shortcut keys for switching between the tools in the document editing workspace:
- A - Select Layers (short for 'Arrow')
- M - Zoom (short for 'Magnify')
- H - Pan (short for 'Hand')
- P - Draw Shapes (short for 'Pen')
- R - Draw Rectangle
- O - draw oval
- B - brush
- S - select shape components
- D - delete shape components
- T - create text
In the Timeline view, some of the controls below the Timeline have been renamed and reorganized. There is now also a button labelled 'Add (Key All)' that creates keyframes for all properties for the selected layer at the current time. This is the same function that can be found in the Timeline menu by the name 'Keyframe All Motion Properties'. (If the layer already has keys at the current time, the button will display 'Clear Keyframe' instead.)
The Play button in the Timeline view is now bigger and hopefully easier to discover. Also, the Enter key now can be used as the shortcut for toggling playback.
The timeline will now always scroll to show the current frame (e.g. when playing or when dragging the timeline cursor over the edge of the visible area).
Arrow keys can be used to move from one frame to another in the Timeline view.
There is now a yellow warning triangle shown when a visual effect is applied to a layer that can't support it. You can click on the triangle for more information about the problem. In practice, this happens when a filter is applied to a Shapes layer that is contained within a Canvas element. Because the shapes are rendered as vector graphics directly in the Canvas within the published web page, it's not possible for Radi's effects engine to render the filter. If you want to apply filters to a Shapes layer, it's possible within a Video or Image element.
When individual points within a shape are selected, they can be "nudged" using the arrow keys on the keyboard. (Previously this would have moved the entire shape, now it affects just the selected points.)
Fixed bug that prevented the previous build from launching on Mac OS X 10.5.
Fixed bug that affected selection of shapes when clicking within a shape layer that contains many individual shapes.
Fixed bugs in the Brush tool where the created shape might contain invalid values (which would manifest as e.g. black flashes, or lines that point to the document origin unexpectedly.)
Fixed bug where double-clicking a Shape layer to bring up the shape component selection tools would not work if

RedHand locks your computer. Manually via global hot key, menu bar or dock. Automatically after a period of inactivity (much like a screensaver), depending on the presence of a Bluetooth device, or whenever your computer goes to sleep.

Whenever someone tries to gain access to your computer, RedHand takes a photo and informs you about it.

You don't have to think about locking your computer. You don't even have to remember your password. Use your phone as the key! Just tell RedHand to look for a specific Bluetooth device. If you leave the room your computer will be locked. As soon as you are back you'll find it unlocked. Unlocking via password still works—just in case your mobile ran out of juice.

With its ability to execute scripts (AppleScript or anything you could launch via command line) RedHand lets you perform any action you want: send an email or play an audio file when an invalid password was entered. Perform maintenance tasks when the computer was locked. Its up to you. The scripts can access the photo taken.

iDentify is an OS X application for tagging iTunes compatible MP4 video files.

Normally, when you convert a video file to the format used by iOS devices such as the iPad, iPod, iPhone or AppleTV, all the information about the video is missing! The only thing you see is the name of the file where the title of the video should be! Enter iDentify 2!

iDentify 2 looks at the name of files as they are added to it. Based on the name of the file, iDentify determines wether it is a TV Show or movie based on common naming conventions. From the file name, a lot of information can be gleaned, such as movie title, show name, season number, episode number, year of release, and imdb code. iDentify can then automatically look on The TVDB, The Movie DB, and tagChimp to gather more information about the title, such as description, rating, chapter names and more! iDentify also inspects the file and can automatically turn on the HD flag on the movie when the resolution of the file goes above a set minimum!

iDentify not find your video? fixing it is easy! Simply edit the movie title or show name to match that found on theMovieDB.org, or theTVDB.com (respectively) and click rescan!

Want to change the tags of multiple files in one fell swoop? No problem! Add the files to iDentify, select all the ones you want to edit from the list, and click edit. All changes you make are now applied to all selected files!

When you are done, just click "Process Files" to write the new information to your files, and when iDentify is done, you are ready to add your videos to iTunes!
