Wynn Resorts released its quarterly earnings last week and with it came another fine episode of everyones favorite program - "The Steve Wynn Quarterly Radio Hour". Freshly back from the Wynn Macau Ltd. investor roadshow, Stevezi seemed to be quite hot for Macau, waxing poetic about Encore Macau (opening in April) and revealing a morsel or two about the status of Wynn Cotai.

Take it away Steverino...

Encore in Macau is completely budgeted and under control and we will finish...

» Steve Wynn On Encore Macau & Wynn Cotai

Cash For Cotai : MGM's Turn

Obviously seeing how easily Wynn Macau Limited turned 25% of their existing Macau operation into US$1.86B, MGM Grand Paradise is legally and financially getting their house in order in advance of hoisting their own Cash For Cotai fundraiser.

MGM Mirage CEO Jim Murren told Bloomberg that the company is currently "working on plans" (i.e. funding) to finish off Phase II of MGM Grand Macau and "begin inspecting sites for potential resorts."

** Cough **

Who knows, maybe MGM Grand Paradise has changed...

» Cash For Cotai : MGM's Turn

Update: Looks like ol' Stanley isn't dead after all, check the comments.

We've been hearing very loud rumblings, officially unconfirmed, that Dr. Stanley Ho has died this week.

The eighty-nine-year-old Father of Macau gambling had been in intensive care at Hong Kong Adventist Hospital since undergoing an operation to remove a blood clot in his brain after sustaining a fall seven weeks ago.

One of our sources suggests that the announcement of Dr. Ho's death is being held until after Macau's government...

» Dr. Stanley Ho Is(n't) Dead

Numerous news outlets are reporting that Wynn Resorts will be offering 20% of its Macau operations on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange with an investor roadshow leading to a Wynn Macau IPO on October 9th.

The WSJ/Dow Jones - who claim to have seen a term sheet - say that Wynn Resorts will be offering 3.75 BILLION (yes, with a B) shares, with the option to add another 500+ million should there be great demand.
Wynncore Macau is looking fabulous, and - thanks to our roving correspondent Ace Macau - we've got some great great great photos to prove it. Thanks Ace!
