]]>Up until this point I had always worn a bra beneath my latex as I am a very well-endowed woman and need the support.
I never knew what it was like to feel latex on my breasts and, frankly, had never considered this until last summer.
A client of mine had offered to pay for a new catsuit and a friend of mine was having a birthday party as a special fetish event.
It occurred to me to design something special, I did some “window-shopping” online for inspiration, took a pencil to paper and drew up something very special indeed.
I called my latex-maker Ewa of Latexworks to make an appointment for a consultation.
I showed her the design, expressed that I wanted built-in breast cups and her hand promptly went to her forehead in the universal “I have a headache now” gesture.
“This will be very difficult, Marina” she said. “I’ll have to charge you $200 for the pattern alone, on top of the cost of the suit!”
“That’s ok.” I replied. “My client i paying for it and if this works out you can hang on to the pattern and make me more gear based on the same concept”.
She told me she would need for me to give her a bra I wouldn’t mind having taken apart so she could create the cup pattern. I already knew this would be the case and had one ready for her
The pattern was indeed difficult and the outfit took several fittings to get perfect – and Ewa is a perfectionist.
It was challenging enough that she had to courier it to me on the day of the event and I hadn’t had a chance to try it on before my boy’s arrival from out of town.
We were both getting ready to go out.
He was in my room and I was in the bathroom.
I first covered myself in silicone lube. I then slipped in my legs. So far a perfect fit. I pulled up the suit and slid in my arms. Still good.
Then, as I was zipping up the front and felt it completely encase my breasts I let out a squeal of joy – like a child on Xmas day!
My boy overheard my exclamation and called out to me “Wow, is it just amazing?”
I was overjoyed with this new sensation AND what it did for my shape.
I looked and felt quite wonderful to the point of finding myself speechless – a very rare occurrence.
I gleefully walked to my bedroom to show my boy.
He grinned at me broadly saying “Wow, you look amazing!” and I knew he was right.
I have to reiterate here that what was more notable than how I looked was how I felt.
I had never experienced this sensation.
This was the very first time in my life that I had experienced the feel of latex gliding all over my entire body with a thin silicone film in between.
I finally knew what it was like to feel this sensation all over my breasts without a bra in the way.
It was beyond delicious – I honestly lack the vocabulary to find the perfect word to describe what I felt and for the first time!
I knew from that point onward I would have to get most – if not all – of my outfits made with built-in cups so I could look and feel like this all the time.
I urge all of you ladies reading this to seriously consider having an outfit made this way so you may know the feeling.

“In 1997, Mr. International Rubber, a.k.a. Rubber Blowout Weekend, began under the ownership of Cell Block. Much like its counterpart, International Mr. Leather, the weekend includes a competition, vendor market and after-hours events. But according to Schendel (or “Rubberwilli”), who won the pageant in ’03, while the event may have boosted drink sales, it also cost a lot for the bar to underwrite. And Cell Block’s cramped quarters meant it couldn’t properly accommodate MIR. Holding the vendor market each afternoon while the competition and after-parties happened each night was a logistical nightmare, Schendel says. “The vendor would have to set up then tear down, then set up then tear down,” he says. “It was really just a mess for them.”
At last year’s event, Center on Halsted executive director Tico Valle, who served as a competition judge, suggested the Center as an alternative venue: Its Hoover-Leppen Theater and Billie Jean King Recreation Hall could better house the competition and market. Valle’s offer inspired John Jacobs, also a judge last year, to purchase the contest from Cell Block and form MIR Contest LLC with Schendel.”

Sadly, buying latex online continues to scare many latex lovers to death, if my conversations with actual shoppers is any indication.
The complaint I hear most often is “I can’t be sure if the item would fit,” which is a bit ironic to me, when oftentimes the complainer is about to buy an equally ill-fitting or less than ideal piece from a bricks and mortar store!
Oftentimes latex fiends are scarred for life by an online shopping experience, or maybe an eBay deal gone bad. The sad fact is, there are some slippery folks online who manage to give the rest of the wonderful shops a bad name. What’s saddest to me is that much of the time one can avoid getting reamed by doing a little research, such as checking out the eBay store’s online rep, or doing a little Googling using handy terms such as “-shop name here- AND fraud,” for example. Of course, it’s also good to know the going rate for an item, and what a quality piece will probably cost. In many cases, if something looks too good to be true, it may well be too good to be true!
We’re now armed with all kinds of help, such as excellent forums like Rubber Pal, or |R|ubberist.net, filled with enthusiastic shoppers just like you, who are dying to offer their advice and opinions, and also their warnings when something goes badly. Still, the prospect of shelling out hundreds of dollars/euros/sterling on a made to measure catsuit is a scary one for most of us!

Hello and good day to you all. I would like to introduce myself.
My name is Ms. Marina Black. I am a Dominatrix living in Toronto and am a new blogger here on this wonderful site. Besides being a Dominatrix and what I feel to be an obvious latex fetishist, I am also a body piercer, priestess and aromatherapy product developer.
I organize an exclusive occasional BDSM fetish event called “Le Salon” when time permits and through this party I expose my membership to the latex fetish by wearing my own designs that I have made by Ewa of Latexworks. Please have a look at my website if you wish to learn more about me.
It is quite lovely how receptive people are once they see someone in a great latex outfit. Every time I go out – to one of my parties or someone else’s – people approach asking me about what I’m wearing and it is impossible to not get into more than just the design. I share with them the experience of wearing such an outfit. What it feels like to know I look the way that I do, but also what it feels like on my flesh and what it feels like to be touched in it. This is, indeed, an experience totally unique to latex and discussing this others new to this truly piques their interest.
I have turned others’ curiosity into real desire to engage in the experience and many have gone to my latex-maker based on meeting me once only or even just seeing some of my images online! That certainly feels good to know.
When discussing with 3xL the possibility of my blogging here, I was asked to share with you information about the latex scene here in Toronto to which I replied “What latex scene?”. We both had a laugh at that, but it’s true. There isn’t much of a latex scene here at all, but things are slowly changing and there are those of us making active efforts to affect this change.
Unlike Montreal, Toronto is more of a leather town. We certainly have latex fetishists here, but among the fetish community here we are a minority. That said, we are serious about our fetish and there are those of us who are deliberately seeking to form a community. I will keep you posted.
I was first made aware of the latex fetish by some of my clients in the early 80s and one of my oldest friends – the very first heavy rubberist I ever met. We remain friends to this day and he is most certainly a partner in my latex activism.
Back then things were very different. The designs were not as sophisticated as today and, being the visual woman that I am, I felt my choices were rather limited. Still, I had a few key pieces that I loved and wore them until they disintegrated.
Fast-forward to the late 90s…
At this point I’d added professional body piercing to my roster of professions. I received a call from a possible client asking me if I used latex gloves. I proudly proclaimed that of course I did, expecting a positive response. Instead, she informed me that she was deathly allergic to latex – an allergy that she had developed via over-exposure as an emergency room nurse.
Luckily for her, the day she went into anaphylactic shock she was at work in the emergency room and from that day forwards could not risk being exposed to latex. She asked me what my glove size was so that she could bring me nitrile gloves to use when working on her.
This gave me pause for concern. I too was frequently exposed to latex and did notice that I had been developing a mild skin irritation on my hands. What’s more, as I was using latex condoms for birth-control I became aware of an irritation “down there” that would vary from mild to extreme at times. I was convinced I had now developed a latex allergy and had to steer clear! I did not want to risk anaphylaxis and so I gave up on latex for a few years.
Now let’s fast-forward to late 2004…
After sharing this assumption of my allergy with a few friends, it was brought to my attention that it may not be latex I was allergic to but a chemical commonly used in the lubricant in lubricated condoms – Nonoxynol-9. It is also used in spermicidal jellies. I decided to conduct a cautious experiment by using a non-lubricated condom with silicone lube instead. There was no reaction so I decided to try again – yes, this was a fun experiment.
Then I decided to revisit the theory of my reaction to the latex gloves I was using for body piercing. I discovered it was the talc they are dusted with that was irritating my skin and not the latex! What a delightful discovery – and what a relief. It did not take me long to start looking again and my first new latex outfit came from Polymorphe – a black Contessa blouse and a black Orchid skirt. Then I had to get the stockings, garter belt and wrist-length gloves. The rest, as they say, is history.
I urge any of you reading this to share this information with any friends who are convinced – or even suspect – they are allergic to latex based on similar experiences to my own. I suspect there are many out there convinced they are allergic due to reactions to Nonoxynol-9 and/or talc (both known irritants).
The knowledge of the above will not only further empower your friends in their personal health care, but will allow them to fully embrace their latex fetish.
