Si asked me to attend the castings to find the woman who would be acting opposite me, playing Angie, my mother. We held the castings in a small quirky studio in South London, and the day brought us a variety of great, and not so great (!) actresses. One woman who blew us away was a woman called Janice Pearson, and although she had less experience than others her natural talent and grasp of the character blew us both away.

After Si broke the news to Jancie that she would be working opposite me, I started learning my lines. Line learning can be quite daunting for new actors, but I always work line at a time, page at a time no matter how big the script is, so that I don’t get overwhelmed by the amount. After all if I can learn a lead in Shakespeare’s plays, then I can learn anything!

We filmed Angie over two days. The first day was the location shots of establishing my journey to the court house. Si wanted there to be ambiguity about who and where I was going. I could be a woman on her way to work, I could be a lawyer - he liked creating a mystery to where I was going, and who I was. We also filmed the flashback sequences, and Si and the crew were extremely sensitive to the disturbing subject matter that we were trying to capture.

The second day we met at The Bill studios where we were using Talk Back Thames court house set. It was a great place to film, as I immediately felt drawn into my character and her plight even more, as I stepped onto the set with my costume on. This day of filming went really well. It was a tough day, with high emotion on set from both Janice and myself - but the crew and Si were really supportive and we filmed a huge amount of footage. I got work again with Elena Diaz a super MUA and Dawn Bell, a talented stylist joined us today to help with costume and continuity.

At 6pm the wrap was called and we all had a few cast photos and expressed our delight at such a professional and wonderful shoot. Si has now sent me the finished film. I hope you like it, and I look forward to increasing my work in these heart-felt and powerful dramas.

It was being directed by Nicholas Bentley, an up and coming director in the film and music video world.

Upon arrival we were explained that the entire shoot was based in a fantasy world which revolved around a giant octopus eating the lead member of the band! Myself and Sarah would be the tribal women who would dance around the men before killing them! So the subject matter was dark, but we were assured that it was a comic book/fantasy scene and our hair and makeup would reflect that. We were dressed in black dresses with fantastic makeup and huge hair with feather in it.

The choreographer Vikki Burns was a talented dancer who taught us her tribal choreography and helped us capture those ‘bird-like’ movements in our head and body. It was difficult as Nicholas was working with a slowed down version of the track, which he would then speed up at post production to create his desired effect. I felt sorry for Rachael (the lead singer of the band) as she was having to lip sync to her own voice slowed down - which was an interesting sound to hear on repeat! Never-the-less she did a brilliant job whilst being attacked by tentacles!

The day was an extremely long shoot, with working into the early hours of the morning. Still, I was very pleased with the end result of the shoot as it looks surreal and beautiful, which is what I hope the band and Nicholas wanted to capture.

I’ve worked in fashion shows presenting models and comparing events. Corporate presenting is actually quite fun, as I get to step into a business attire and make like a lawyer or accountant for a few hours (!) However, fitness presenting seems to have been a large chunk of my presenting work at the moment and I’ve had the opportunity to work with some really creative and unusual teams.

All presenting shoots are different. From working on green screen to location shots, I’ve had to step into other peoples worlds for a short time and create a friendly environment to get my message across. I think my acting skills directly enhance my presenting work, as no matter what the script looks like, or however technical the content is - I like to rise to the challenge. My strong grasp of English, allows me to communicate on an articulate level and I find it really inspiring to bring both my acting and presenting craft to the next levels.

I hope you enjoy my new show reel - just a selection of the few things out of the many presenting jobs I’ve had so far.

The script was about a woman in duel dimension who creates a machine in a trance. She then commissions to get the machine made. Jump forward to the future or present, and we see her at a party, where the guests are enthralled by the machine, and it leads to the death of a young woman (played by myself).

The part of the film I was shooting in was the modern or futuristic world, so I was needed for two long shooting days. We had a great crew on board, with fab runners and technicians, plus the very important MUA (makeup) who was Elena Diaz - a brilliant makeup artist of whom I am good friends with.

The shooting days were long, but went really well. We were shooting in Hoxton Hall, a beautiful old music hall in Hoxton, London.

The venue was atmospheric, so an actress my job was made very easy - much easier than the green screen work I seem to have been doing an awful lot of recently!

The premier is yet to happen, but I would love you to watch the trailer. As soon as the film has been released I will upload the full version so you can enjoy my rather grizzly death at the final scene (in a nice way please!)

Although we had been sent some potential scripts from Si in advance, neither myself or the other actress Annalea Doyle were prepared for the night of excitement that was to come!

On the day of the shoot, we were given the subject - dark comedy. Si mentioned some obscenities that were best not mentioned here, as neither script he had brought were dark comedy in nature. So Si, us and the crew sat down to discuss some potential ideas. After about an hour and no development I made a suggestion.

‘What if we are two girls out for a girls holiday here, and we take someone home and accidentally kill him. Then the comedy will hopefully come with what to do with the body!’

Si loved it, and he set about story boarding and working out the basic script outline, with which myself and Annalea helped with. I was happy to bring all my experience in production work to the table, as we needed all hands on deck!

And thus Marbella Nights was shot. At 4am we finally were wrapped and then Si and his crew set about the long process of editing the piece.

Sadly, an illness in the UK meant I couldn’t be there to go to the award ceremony that William Shatner was hosting, however imagine my shock and joy when I found out we had WON!

Over 34 entries, an incredibly tight deadline, but a brilliant supportive cast, Si - a wonderful director who listens to your own thoughts as an actress, as well as giving you good direction to help bring the best out of you, we made it through to win!

Our entry will be shown in Cannes Film Festival 2010.

I really hope you enjoy the short movie, and prepare yourself for some dark scenes. Afterwards, Si sent me some press details, which featured a picture of Annalea and Si, and an interview with Si. Oooh and you must tell me if you like my brown hair for the shoot - I’m back to blonde now!

The advert was an animation which was pretty cool to watch, and my script lines were:

For all of us!….Sunset Concert!…..Fresh Air!….Why not?…..The Red Arrows!

I was working with three other VO artists, who were very talented, and it was great fun to listen to them record their lines in the booth whilst I was waiting.

Voice Over work is very different to normal acting, in fact it’s a whole new skill to itself. You no longer have your physicality attached to you voice, as the listener can only hear, not see you - so you really have to be on top of your intentions and motive for each word or passage.

Voice over work can also be quite repetitive, as often clients will want certain words or phrases read out in a multitude of ways so that they can get the feel or impression they are look for. With this in mind, you have to be skilled at changing and varying what you are saying, otherwise you give the client no choice in selecting different passages.

Again it can be quite disorientating for the actor to read a passage without any response from the other actors, so its really important to remember your script before and after so you don’t get confused to why you are saying the certain line.

Being in sound booths are a really relaxing place to be, and I really enjoy my time in recording sound and voice over for film, advert or TV. I look forward to many more jobs to come, who know maybe one day I will get my own animated character in a feature film!

I was working with Rohith Govindraj, who was the director for the shoot, a lovely and professional director with good energy.

The shoot was short and sweet, and took only a few hours. It was premiered on the 11th of February at Quick Flick international short film festival in London.

Since then the film has been screened in screened in Barcelona, London, NYC, Mexico, Berlin, Tokyo, Beijing, Mumbai, Tel Aviv and Amsterdam!

The great news is that it has been accepted and is now being shown in the Cannes Film Festival 2009 at Short Film Corner.

We held the castings at image 1st as I know the owner Doren very well, and it was extremely kind of him to let us use his studio on the Sunday.

LA Muscle TV joined us for the day, to capture the behind the scenes footage of the drama, the tears and the joy! Eduardo the cameraman did a fantastic job as usual, and I hope you enjoy the X-Factor of pole!

Cage sent through some initial images, and then came down to start work this weekend. One full day and many cups of coffee later, he finally finished and my boyfriend Ben and I were over the moon with the result!

I captured his work on a quick movie, so I hope you will enjoy it, and if you fancy having your own custom made work of art in your home get in touch - he is already huge demand and his talent is immense!

I was invited by the team down at LA Muscle for an interview. On the day I turned up and to my surprise the lovely camera man Eduardo hopped in the car with me to take some footage of my sexy new car and to get my journey to the interview.

After the driving shoot, I met with the interviewer - a stunning girl called Andrianna. Before the interview commenced, she was chatting with me and we both discovered that we were half Greek - an immediate bond was made, and we hit it off straight away!

Fifteen minutes later, poor Eduardo had to intervene between our nattering to formally start the interview, which flew by as chatting with Andrianna was easy and fun!
