This may be the hardest entry EVER!

I have officially closed shop. (heart breaking)

Yup, Little Shindigs is no more.

As much as I have tried to juggle everything, CPN, and The Knock-Knock Factory have finally trumped Little Shindigs.

I tried so hard to make it work but considering I haven't blogged since we announced the Fiesta we hosted for CPN, I doubt anyone would believe me.

I will be dedicating all my efforts to my etsy shop- The Knock-Knock Factory and to growing CPN. I have every intention of blogging again (someday) in a different capacity and will be back to let you know when that happens. I will keep the blog open bc I cant bare to see it REALLY go away, hope you will understand. (sobbing)

I am having a blast with my host family this week. They have a HUGE dog but he is just the sweetest

Brittany is due very soon and I am so happy to been able to spend this time with her. She is prettier than in her pictures, if you can believe that and don't EVEN get me started on her dimples. Now I'm Jelly:(

Days are spent talking about parties, nights spent eating Chocolate Peanut Butter Ice Cream and watching Housewives. BTW...did you see the OC reunion special? DRA-MA!!!!

I am a big, fat, liar. I meant VERY much to start blogging more regularly (clears throat).

Easier said then done. Sorry dudes.

However, I am happy to report that the Factory is alive and well. I have been lucky to receive lots of fabulous feedback on some of the latest pieces and have been getting a surge of orders for some pretty fabulous parties coming up;)

Off Topic-I am planning myself a little shindig! My birf-day is coming up this month and my DH and I are gonna throw our first clambake for a few of our close frineds! We live in the "Valley" so there will be "no SEA" but it will still be fab. Hope to keep you updated!

Sweet Birthday party for Jessica. She turned 5 and wanted a Jessee party...of course!

Her mom went all out for this party. They even had PONY rides!.

I was happy to add a little whimsy at the door step.

The knock-knock piece was wrapped in cow print.

Fun accessories included a cow bell and the cow girls' very own boots.

I also used yellow flowers, ribbons and yellow balloons as well.

An actual invitation to the party was also incorporated.

Dear Family,

Life is a DREAM in Warwick, New York.I have never been around so much glitter...and purple.

I am happy to report that I made it in time for Gavin's party on Sunday and I think I have met my future husband!

OMF (oh my Feathers)...this Guy is SO FLY. Not sure he is into me since we are SO different, but you never know right?! (long sigh)

I am looking forward to spending some one on one with Kristy herself. Will report back soon.

Sunny is new to the party scene but ready to embrace it full heartedly. She is a Party Chick ( just like me) with roots in Los Angeles and calls this blog her home.

Her plan is to visit as many party blogs and the creative chicks behind them, within the next year or so. Sunny has agreed to send postcards from her visits and I will make sure to share them with you here.

This is a trip that I would have liked to have taken with her but duty calls for me to stay here in Los Angeles. She left this morning and although I am terribly sad to see her go, I know she is going to have a blast.

She cannot wait to land in New York. She has the Fly Guy Party to attend and the Purple Pug to meet!

How jealous are you that she is actually going to meet Kristy? Sunny is def going places.

The Knock-Knock Factory opens this Friday!

You have no idea how thrilled I am for this new venture. Friday is the first official day of the shop and I already have 3 orders via Etsy and 4 private orders. Wassup?!

I have been wanting to expand my work to something more "product" oriented. If you are wondering what the shop is about I invite you to swing by and take a look for yourself.

I will focus on mostly custom work and OOAK "one of a kind", ready to ship (as time allows for me to create). That is the plan for now at least.

If you are asking "why this?"- Well, I have always done welcome pieces for my parties and because of the great response I received for THIS last year:

It seemed like the perfect "next step".

On a side note..... Little Shindigs (event planning) is going on a bit of a hiatus. Just for a short while.
I want to give The Knock-Knock Factory and CPN a little more Natalie time and I HAVE to start squeezing in some sleep too!

The blog will remain "little shindigs". Yes, the same great wit and quirky style with the sporadic blog entries that you have so sweetly become accustom to.

Gotta keep it REAL folks. I love the this blog, the fab party industry and creative peeps I get to rub virtual elbows with and most of all YOU, for reading this random party blog. I do think it's about to get more interesting though....hope you will stick around to see it. Ciao Players:)

Not me. My kids. When I came across this party. My heart just melted AND I got the biggest craving for fried plantains. I grew up on them, can never say no to them. They are my little fried heaven AND high in potassium. But I digress.

Barry Awesome (Throwback Thursday}

Is there still time for Throwback Thursday? I think so.

Now I know, I may loose a few of you here for the following statement but I completely stand by it. Copa Cabana is the best song. ever. written.
Yeah...I said it. I LOVE this song.
I still remember being a kid and hearing it blasted on the radio. I wasn't listsenng to the lyrics at the time but I thought it was awesome. I think Barry is fab for rocking it all these years and every time I hear it I think I really do need to find myself a huge feather and sequence head dress someday.

If you can stand it (I know not everyone is in to the arts) PLEASE watch the video to the end. You gotta see Barrys dancing moves. I use to practice those same dancing moves with my cousins......but thats another post.
