tesco: Cold fusion may be out of our reach for a long time to come, but the earth gives indication that it is a viable process. Helium and hydrogen were too light to be trapped in the earths core during formation. That is why we don't find hydrogen formations in the ground. We do, however, find helium deposits. They are rare, and replenish at an undetectable rate. As far as we know the earth has never been in a condition that would allow hot fusion as exists in the sun. I know, this is heresy, go ahead and insult me. At least I am not claiming global cooling is not real. Oops, that was the 70's. Never mind.
