Antonio Banderas Backs The Lady and The Reaper

The Lady and The Reaper is a new CG short from Kandor Moon, the Spain-based studio created by Antonio Banderas’ company Green Moon and Kandor Graphics. It’s the same studio that’s behind the CG-feature The Missing Linx, and in 2011 they’re planning to release another feature titled Goleor, the Spade and the Sword. The Lady and the Reaper (La Dama y La Muerte) was directed by Javier Recio Garcia, and below you can see a 1:30 minute teaser.

Big Box Office For A Christmas Carol?

Despite pretty dreadful reviews,I saw a reliable prediction suggesting Disney’s A Christmas Carol., which opens today, might pull in $41 million this weekend. Robert Zemeckis would surely take this as a sign that he should continue with his plans to create a mocap Roger Rabbit sequel. I’ll go take a nap now. Wake me when Zemeckis is retired.

Cleveland Show Freestyle

This Sunday’s new episode of The Cleveland Show, titled Cleveland Jr.’s Cherry Bomb, tackles the topic of sex. Cleveland also drops some freestyle rhymes on a Stoolbend local. The new episode premieres at 9:30/8:30c on FOX.

Chinese Student YuMing Behind Animated Creation

Yin YuMing, a student at the Beijing-based Academy of Arts & Design Tsinghua University recently created this traditionally-animated short simply titled Creation. It’s a whimsical story of a young artist struggling to find inspiration, but what I’m most impressed with is the character animation. Such subtlety, wonderful construction and plenty of energy.

Liberty Mutual Gets Good Vibrations From Clapin

Second Despicable Me Trailer
