This is the answer song to ISSAxSoulJa+ROLA “I Hate U”. Suzuki Nana sounds okay. Her face and smile at certain angles look like Hamasaki Ayumi and a cuter mix of Dream Morning Musume Yaguchi Mari. I guess that is the Gyaru look and what she is known for as a Japanese popteen model.

RAINBOW Pixie – Hoi Hoi (MV)

DSP has come out with a new Rainbow sub-unit trio called Rainbow Pixie. Jisook, Hyunyoung, and Seunga are the three best singers from Rainbow. The name was chosen to describe a cute, magical, and fun fairy concept. Contrary to popular belief, performing and singing cute and sexy songs is not easy. Anyhow I think their first digital single Hoi Hoi is pretty decent, although I don’t really understand some of the English lyrics like ultra pectorus muse (moose?) and beams. Below is music video and also the NG (No Good) cuts or blooper music video which is actually more entertaining than the original. You can read more about Rainbow in my Rainbow group profile post.

MBLAQ It’s War music video. It’s War or This is War is MBLAQ’s new single from their 100% Ver. album. I’m so glad they finally have come out with a new song. I absolutely could not stand their previous song Mona Lisa. I think that was the only song I totally ignored watching any of their performances because the song irritated me so much. This song sounds much better, but I think they’re adding to much emotional facial crap with their singing. They should just stick to dancing and not over emphasize their freaking faces, because they really ain’t that great to look at besides Lee Joon. Intense dancing = Good. Intense singing = Facial Yuck = Bad. Anyhow their boss is Rain, the king of sexy face and body wiping, so why am I deluding myself that they’ll stop?

Hyun Seung (JS) from BEAST and Hyuna from 4Minute have formed a Cube Entertainment sub-unit called Trouble Maker. The song is pretty catchy with a lot of sexy interaction between the two. The song sounds decent thanks to Hyun Seung. Hyuna sounds okay in the music video but in her live performances she kind of half asses her raps and parts sometimes.

Girls’ Generation The Boys music video. The song isn’t really knock your socks awesome nor visually fantastic, but it sounds okay after watching it a few times. Their English doesn’t sound that bad, considering everyone besides Jessica and Tiffany are not fluent. I sort of like the English version a little better.

The intro sounds straight from TVXQ’s Keep Your Head Down. Go figure they’re just recycling what works for SM as much as their CEO likes to spew that their music is totally artistically superior and original which most of the stuff is not, since they just buy the rights to catchy songs and beats and and apply their kpop magic to it. Teddy Riley produced songs for the rookie group Rania, which were god awful, and he gives us more crap with this song. Fortunately SNSD is much more talented and their fans will eat up whatever they dish out.

Who let the dogs out? That’s what the beat sounds like and sure enough someone already made a short remix on Youtube here.

The music video is pretty bad. It’s probably their most boring one so far. None of their outfits make any sense and I agree with most of Antikpopfangirl Blog’s great assessment of the music video.

INFINITE – Paradise (MV)

INFINITE Paradise music video. I’ve always thought INFINITE mostly had their dancing going for them with some decent and catchy tunes that seemed sort of out of place compared to other boybands. It seemed that way since they danced so hard with smooth sounding songs with several members actually singing well. Their main titles have all been produced by Sweetune (Han Jae Ho and Kim Seung Soo). They produced most of Kara’s hit songs and Rainbow’s A and Mach. Anyhow their popularity is starting to skyrocket with their girl fans. They’re planning to debut in Japan so we’ll see if they can come up with any decent Japanese music.

Kan Mi Youn Won’t Meet You music video. This single is from her 2nd mini album Obsession. At first I sort of didn’t really get an easy vibe from the song since I didn’t have a clue what the electronic voices were saying. After watching her perform the song one or two times and learning what the hell the squeaky background words were everything made sense and grows on you. The song, music video, and dance are cool and I like it more than Paparazzi. She’s so skinny she’s thinner than all the younger idols it blows my mind.

Fairies – More Kiss (PV)

Fairies More Kiss music video. Fairies are a new seven member Jpop girls group from Vision Factory entertainment company and their label is Avex.

Most of them are around 13 years old and in middle school. They’re supposed to have a more sophisticated adult style dance and vocals so they want to become the next SPEED, MAX, or Namie Amuro. Unfortunately they’ve got a long ways to go. I saw a morning show where the members are just dying and suffering in their high heels while recording this music video. Currently it appears that Ito Momoka is the only one talented enough to do absolutely all the singing and also dance.

They were obviously formed to counter the Kpop girl groups, but I would have to say that they are a bit young. They should probably be groomed and trained a little longer since you can tell they are trying hard to pretend they like what they’re doing. If they want to be smart, Momoka should just immediately be the focus and go become a solo idol.

Happiness is another new Japanese girl group backed and produced by EXILE. They got their dancing skills all down, but seriously, who wants to see a bunch of (mostly fugly) girls flail around. We want some hot synced idol group dancing and singing. It seems they use the EXILE formula with only two members doing all the singing so that’s just so lame.

The big problem these two groups have is that fans (or maybe just me) don’t want a bunch of background dancers thrown together and be considered a girl group. Fairies are also too young. Seriously who is their target audience?
