Facebook creates a close online social network to all the users;as a platform,it also creates multiple opportunities for business and some of them have got great returns.

Well,that’s only showing how potential Facebook is.Now It’s about the time for Facebook to show its real value.By the IPO,Facebook is valued at USD38 per share,total up to more than USD 100 billion share capital,being the second largest IPO in USA IPO history if not mistaken.Furthermore,according to the report from CNNMoney,quite a number of individuals and institutions have earned billions from the IPO.

The valuation of Facebook is based on a very high PE(around 105 times) which from my point of view,it’s not so reasonable.The search giant-Google was only valued at 80 times of PE when it’s IPO.Maybe because many investors also are the loyal users of Facebook and they may realize the importance of Facebook in their lives,they irrationally enlarge the potential of Facebook.It’s the same as a boy falling in love with a beautiful girl and so he couldn’t see any weakness of that girl.

Anyway,the first day of trading will be on in 12 hours.Let’s see who will laugh till the end.

AirAsia will start to fly to Beijing soon

AirAsia has talked to get a landing pass to the capital of China,Beijing,for long time,finally it will come true.AirAsia recently annouced that the new route to Beijing will get into business and the first flight will be on 22 June 2012.To celebrate the great move,AirAsia offers a great discount for the airfare to Beijing.Here are the details:

From 22 June 2012 to 5 August 2012,AirAsia’s long haul service-AirAsia X will fly 4 times a week and it will increase to 7 times a week from 6 August 2012.

From the latest conversation with Mr. Azran Osman-CEO of AirAsia X,the direct flight to Shanghai by AirAsia X is also under negotiation with Chinese government.I just hope that could be done asap.

Before it’s officially released,the information of this phone had been teased everywhere.Samsung currently has been the biggest mobile phone manufacturer in the world and it deadly wants to be the biggest smart phone manufacturer too.The new product of Galaxy series-Galaxy S3 is definitely an important movement to Samsung to get closer to the target.

Samsung Galaxy S3 has an Exynos quad-core 1.4GHz processor,1GB internal memory,8 Mega-pixels back camera,4.8 inch HD Super AMOLED(1280*720) display with Android 4.0 and TouchWiz.Samsung also puts some new features in this phone such as Smart stay,Direct call,Smart alert,Social tag ,S Voice etc.By the way,Samsung Galaxy S3 also supports LTE.

U Mobile had some network outage(recovered in 2 hours)

Half hour ago,some U Mobile users started to complain that they were not able to make outgoing calls and sms in a few places while they still can receive calls and sms,the data service is ok too.U Mobile had notified the problem and seeked to get more information from affected users.

It’s affecting my area.Luckily I found that the problem is only shown on U Mobile’s own 3G network and once I force my phone to 2G network which roams on Celcom,the issue’s been gone.

So I suggest users who suffer from the network outage could try to use my way to avoid any inconvenience.Since it’s not the first time that U Mobile has such kind of problem in this year,I hope the technical teams could fix it as soon as possible and try their best to eliminate it.

Update:

The whole network has been recovered after 2 hours.I think it’s good to response the users and deal with the problem efficiently.

Google Drive is really coming

Many rumors about Google Drive was spreading in the past weeks and finally it shows the face today.

If you’re a user of Dropbox or other similiar services,you will not be strange on this kind of cloud storage service.Eventually,as a happy Dropbox user and from my point of view,I didn’t see too many advantages from Google Drive.

The biggest advantage of Google Drive compared to others is users could create and collaborate jobs together and see the changes instantly.If I’m not mistaken,it’s sort of mixtures with Google Docs and Google Wave.

The other features are:

Powerful search.
View anything.
Google Drive with your favorite apps.
Share the way you want.
Start a discussion.
Go back in time.

The downside is Google Drive only provides 5GB free storage currently.Dropbox offers 2GB and 500MB per referral and up to 18GB which I already have.So I don’t think I will move to Google Drive even though I’m a fan of Google.

New iPad in Apple Malaysia Store

At the same time that many people were queuing overnight to buy new iPad,Apple Malaysia Store also opened the shelf to the public.

New iPad will land in Malaysia on this Friday

After a month of waiting,Apple’s fans in Malaysia finally could get the new iPad in hand on this Friday(20 April 2012).

The prices in Ringgit haven’t been released yet.~~However,according to Apple’s tradition,they should be labeled from RM1599 for 4G LTE version and in the meantime,iPad 2 will reduce the price too.~~

Machines-the authorized Apple store in Malaysia just released the prices for the new iPads:

New Google+ UI

I have played Google+ from the starting of the product.Frankly speaking,I don’t like the UI as it’s not so user-friendly and sometimes feel it’s too simple and even a bit ugly.

Maybe the Google+ team had heard a lot of suggestions and now the new UI has come into the desktop.It’s fresh,powerful and more usable.

I think more people will love the new look and once people love something,it will be more popular.Well done,Google!

Project Glass

Google has a great company culture that encouraging all kinds of meaningful ideas into real.Google recently shares one of them called ‘Project Glass‘,a kind of glasses that could easily share and also easily come back in the moment.

I like this design so much.It’s ultra portable and so cool to wear.Google wants to hear more suggestions on this project and wish to learn something from our valuable input.Well,they’re definitely doing in the right way.

I look forward to this product coming to the market.

Edifier HCS2330 speaker

I just bought a new set of speakers to replace the dead pair.The new one is from Edifier and frankly speaking,since my budget is limited(around RM300),the choice is limited too.After spending almost half an hour on testing the performance,I chose HCS2330.

The sub-woofer is quite huge(6.5 inch) and so it sounds really deep.When I play some hot musics,I even feel the whole building is shaking.The weak point is the mid-range of sound is a bit thin and that causes less clarity of men’s voice,especially while watching movies.

Well,I have to say that the performance could definitely match the price I pay.It’s one of the best in RM300-RM350 range(US$110+-).

Google Maps Turns on Traffic and Transit for Malaysia

At the moment,I only see that ‘traffic’ layer is available now in Google Maps Malaysia,but the feature of ‘transit’ layer is still in grey.

It is weird because the official Google Malaysia twitter account announced the good news that both have been available in Malaysia,but it turns out another result.

Maybe there’s some small technical glitch.Well,wait to see whether the features will go online later.

The traffic layer is showing the live information and transit layer will show all public transport options,all could help us plan our daily routes.It’s just great!

TM Unifi is a fibre optical service which provides up to 20Mbps internet and IPTV services to the users.The default modem that is given by TM is from D-Link.Many users founds that the performance is not so good,especially it will get frequent disconnection when it’s under heavy usage and not for good WiFi coverage too.

TP-Link,a leading brand on network products,sells a large variety of modem products and some of the users have tested to replace D-Link modem by TP-Link products such as TL-WR841N/ND Version 7 and TL-WR1043ND.

In fact,it seems that I haven’t stop getting sick in the past several months-since I got that terrible chronic active gastritis.Well,after months of treatments of Chinese herbal meditation,I’ve been better,but yet I feel that I’m still not strong as before,quite easy to get illness.

2 days ago,I got wet in the rain and at the night,I got fever and headache,body ache after a day.So I have to take pills to help recovering.

How could I make my immune system better?Any idea?But I think once my digestive system goes well,I will be much energized to fight with the viruses.

iOS 5.1 is delivering

With the introduction of the new iPad,Apple also released iOS 5.1.

You have to make sure your device has more than 50% battery or has connected to the charger,otherwise,you can’t complete the upgrade process.

The whole process could be done Over-The-Air,so nothing need to be talk about as it’s too simple.Strongly suggest iPhone 4S users to upgrade iOS asap as it could fix the bug affecting battery life.And Siri starts to understand Japanese now,but sorry,no Chinese support yet.So we still need to wait Siri to learn Chinese.

Yes,it’s just simply called as ‘the new iPad’,not ‘iPad 3′ or ‘iPad HD’.There are some great improvements,but some Apple fans may feel disappointed as the changes are not so significant.

Retina Display will be one of the greatest improvements.As an iPad 2 user,I’m never satisfied with the display quality on iPad 2,I think many iPad 2 users think it in the same way.Well,now on the new iPad,four times more pixels means much sharper texts and colorful pictures can be shown on the screen.The experience of watching HD movie or playing HD games on iPad will also raise to another level.

The A5X chip is working on the new iPad.It’s a dual-core CPU with quad-core graphics which is able to drive the new iPad running smoothly with 4 times more pixels and still have more than 10 hours battery time.

A 5MP iSight camera is equipped on the back of the new iPad.It’s designed with advance optics and no doubt that nicer photos and videos could be shot by it.By the way,the new iPad can shoot 1080P video.
