Well, our son Andrew had reworked the web site to reflect our new theme for 2010. All I had to do was upload it to the server and let it over right the existing files with the updated files of the same name. Easy enough right…well, I decided that I would “clean-up” the server a bit before I uploaded it and in the course of this cleaning I deleted the blog directory and all (only 7 or 8 entires) the posts I had written last year. So, I get to begin all over again. Not that that is entirely a bad thing, just a little frustrating when the former computer programmer/ lan manager/ computer guru makes this kind of mistake and did not back up the site first. What can I say, been out of the field a little too long…no, that excuse won’t fly because “save early and back-up often” is the mantra of any IT person. Uh, thought I had a back up…well, I did think that, but come to find out that back up was for our family web site and not the church one. Anyway, should have the new church site uploaded soon. As soon as I change the link info for my blog!
