Randy Moss posted this terrific picture of him frolicking with Flipper here on his Twitter account a while back, but it really is too delicious not to share. I’m not sure why Moss is hanging out with a dolphin though, unless it’s to show potential suitors his ability to shake even the toughest coverage. And when you’re waist deep in water, nobody offers tighter man-to-aquatic mammal coverage than a dolphin. They’re like the Darrelle Revis of the sea, but with a smaller blowhole.

Down 57-55, Cal State’s Robert Willhite dropped a three-pointer to put the Toros up by one with only 0.6 seconds left on the game clock. But that’s all the time that the Broncos needed, as junior guard Mitchel Anderson heaved up a prayer from beyond halfcourt as the buzzer sounded that found nothing but net.

Jubilation for the home team, who ends up with the second seed entering the conference tournament, and utter and total devastation and heartbreak for the CSU Dominguez Hills Toros, who were 0.6 seconds from victory, only to see it snatched away by an incredible buzzer beater in double OT.

Skip to the 2:25 mark for the final sequence of events…

I’ve watched this video, with the sound down of course, multiple times, and I’m still undecided as to who my favorite T-Wolves crooner might be. Even though he doesn’t sing, Ricky Rubio’s adorableness is intoxicating, and he’s so devilishly handsome that he actually could have been in a Spanish ‘N Sync cover band. Kevin Love is seven kinds of cool, coyly trying to pretend he doesn’t know the words to “Tearing Up My Heart” when I would be willing to bet he has the entire ‘N Sync catalog on his iPhone.

And then there’s Michael Beasley, who starts off slow, flashing the white man’s overbite and mumbling through his first few lines before attacking the song with the passion of Celine Dion on opening night in Vegas. In the end he owns the song, and my heart as well.

Remove all dogs and young children with developing auditory canals from the room and crank this sh*t up…

Sure my ears might be bleeding just a little, but I still like this version much better than the original.

The Knicks traveled to South Beach to take on the red hot Miami Heat in Thursday night NBA action. Miami rolled to their 8th straight win, keeping wunderkind Jeremy Lin and crew in check to top New York 102-88. Rookie Norris Cole came off the bench to contribute 10 points in the victory, including the steal-dunk-faceplant you witnessed above.

No idea what Cole was thinking there. The usual course of a slam dunk is to leap, jam the ball through the hoop, then gracefully land on your feet while lapping up the cheers from the adoring crowd. The Heat guard got most of that right, except for that crucial last part, instead hanging on the rim for a split-second before awkwardly falling to the floor like he was trying to execute some kind of self-induced body slam. Love how he jumped right up and tried to play it off like it was no big deal in an effort to save face.

Sorry Norris, but everybody that saw your embarrassing moment knows that had to sting just a bit.

I’m pretty sure he did this as a gag for the fans…at least that’s what I’m hoping. I’ve seen LeBron dance better than this, so playing it up for the crowd seems like the only plausible explanation. Still, pretty weird celebration if you ask me.

LeBron probably should have practiced that dance in front of the bathroom mirror before trying it out in public.

New Orleans forward-center Solomon Jones hails from Florida, a fact you can find on his NBA player profile, or, if you’re too lazy or dumb to do that, you can just take a gander at this ginormous tattoo of the Sunshine state found on Jones’ backside. It’s a safe bet Florida is his home state (which it is), otherwise that giant ink on his back makes no sense whatsoever.

The tattoo is a pretty thorough representation of the state of Florida, from the gator to the Highway 441 sign, the 352 area code, right down to the palm tree. Only thing missing to complete the scene is a pair of Mickey Mouse ears and a picture of a drunken redneck.

I think the Rays could have gotten away with just a Don Zimmer doll, rather than this rather disturbing creation. Making Zimmer into a hybrid teddy bear won’t make him any more cuddly and lovable. I’m pretty sure the 81-year-old coach has that market cornered, despite the protestations of one Pedro Martinez.

Oh, and if this abomination wasn’t nightmare fuel enough, get a load of Zim Bear’s prominent camel toe. Now, not only do you have to worry about that thing coming to life while you sleep, but you also have to fear having the image of Zim Bear’s camel toe burned in your brain.

Sleep tight.
