We can probably go ahead and close down the Internet for a while, since these pics of SEC coaches with tiny faces has all but won the day, week and possibly month, or at least until the next hilarious meme comes along, which should be momentarily.

• Unless he’s going by an alias, Matt Harvey is not named Matt Jones, and at last check, does not pitch for the Orioles
• Manny Machado does play for the O’s, and not the White Sox as the logo beside his Baltimore cap might lead you to believe
• Mike Trout is still with the Angels, and not a member of the Yankees (yet)
• Surprisingly, all the stats are correct prior to the start of tonight’s games

I can see one mistake, maybe two at the most, as a forgivable offense, but six errors on one graphic is beyond ridiculous. Remember, soon-to-be unemployed Fox Sports Kansas City graphics guy, there’s no shame in stepping up your Google game.

Still, Bills fans used to love “The Juice” before he went and got embroiled in that messy double-homicide in the early 90s, and there’s little doubt that some fans still love Simpson despite his legal troubles. Take for instance this fan, who went so far as to get O.J. Simpson’s mugshot from his 1994 arrest tattooed on his upper thigh…

Sure the content may be questionable, but the quality is outstanding. How apropos that to show it off the guy has to drop his pants, because, you know, Simpson probably has to do a lot of pants dropping himself in prison. The fine folks at Sports-Kings says the ink took 9 hours to complete, which makes perfect sense, because it’s as good a likeness of O.J. Simpson as you will ever see in tattoo form.

Like the Mensa candidate that he is, not only did Canseco reveal this information on Twitter, but he also revealed the name of his accuser, a move that people with even the slightest bit of legal knowledge know is wrong. Canseco maintaining his innocence is fine, and even calling out his accuser anonymously is fine, but when a woman claims she was sexually assaulted, she has every right to keep her identity secret from the general public.

Here are the tweets, since removed, with the name of Canseco’s accuser blacked out for obvious reasons…

But it gets worse…while Canseco may have deleted the above four tweets, he went and posted photos of the woman accusing him of rape, as well as posting her phone number! Once again, I understand professing your innocence, because really, the court of public opinion will be against Canseco from the get-go, but this, this is not how you go about building your case. At the time of this writing the name, picture, and phone number of the woman in question are all still available for viewing by anyone with access to Twitter, but rest assured that Canseco’s legal team, providing they want their client to have a chance at winning this case, will be having those taken down shortly.

Rest assured though, so long as Canseco keeps running his own Twitter account, this thing will get real ugly, real quickly.

UPDATE: According to 8NewsNow KLAS-TV in Las Vegas, the 48-year-old Canseco has indeed been identified as a suspect in a sexual assault case…

Seriously, June 14th can’t get here fast enough. Call it a hunch, but I think that this Superman reboot is going to be epic. At the very least it will be miles better than the last Superman movie, starring that guy whose name I can’t remember.

All in all a pretty full day for The Great One. And really, what else is there to do in Greenville than get drunk off your ass?

For a guy who had such great vision on the ice during his playing days, it’s strange to see him not even be able to find the camera stationed right in front of him. At this point though, I doubt Gretzky had much control over his eyes, or any other part of his body.

Namath, as he’s wont to do, gave his opinion on the New York quarterback situation, going so far as to say that the Jets wasted a draft pick on West Virginia pivot Geno Smith, and that Sanchez isn’t nearly as bad as he seems, attributing his poor play the last two seasons to “distractions.”

“No, I don’t think they needed a quarterback,” Namath said. “They needed the other positions filled. Possibly offensive line. They got some defensive line. The safeties are still questionable. The outside linebackers are still questionable.

“I am pulling for him,” Namath said of Sanchez. “I know that he can do better than he’s done. And we saw him lead a team to two AFC championship games, right? I also know what it’s like not to necessarily have the weapons you’d like to have, not to necessarily have the time you’d like to accomplish.”

“I know it’s a team game and I know Sanchez is going to play better,” Namath added. “I promise you you’ll see a different guy (this year). I believe you’ll see a different guy.

“Mark’s not a puppy anymore,” he added. “He’s gone through some things, growing process. As far as Sanchez goes, even if he’s not with the Jets, he’s going to play as long as he wants to. He’s that good. As long as he wants to, he’s going to be in the NFL.”

This isn’t the first time Namath has thrown his support behind Sanchez, but you have to wonder if Broadway Joe is watching the same Jets team as the rest of us. Mark Sanchez is a mediocre quarterback at best (his 71.7 career passer rating and 68 TDs to 69 INTs will attest to that), with his most memorable highlight over the past couple of season being his now infamous ‘Buttfumble” against the Patriots. Not exactly a stellar resume for a starting QB in the NFL if you ask me.

Don’t act like you’re not impressed.

Ron Burgundy and the rest of the Channel 4 News Team are assembling for Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues, which is set to hit theaters this coming December. From the sounds of it every celebrity of note in Hollywood will be making an appearance in the film, which may or may not be a good thing. You know, too many cooks spoil the broth and all that.

Strem tossed a perfect game to propel his team to the second round of the playoffs, and even more impressive than being perfect over his 7-innings of work (California high school baseball games only go 7-innings) is that the senior hurler only needed 66 pitches in the effort. For all you who have difficulty with math (present company included), that works out to an average of 3.14 pitches per batter, which is as efficient as it is amazing.

According to the Mercury News, Strem struck out eight Monta Vista hitters, and of his 66 pitches thrown, 48 were strikes and 18 were balls, which, perfection aside, is a tremendous strike-to-ball ratio.

St. Francis is off until Saturday when they’ll face either Valley Christian or Wilcox in the quarterfinals. My guess is the team will trot Strem out to the pitcher’s mound once again, and if he’s as half as good in the quarters as he was against Monta Vista, then the Lancers will tap dance into the semifinals.

Classy move by a classy player. In related news, the team has also pledged a $1 million in relief aid, matching Durant’s initial offer (via ESPN)…

The Thunder announced Tuesday that they’ll give $1 million to the American Red Cross, the Salvation Army and other disaster relief organizations helping after Monday’s disaster in suburban Oklahoma City. Earlier in the day, Durant pledged $1 million to the Red Cross from his Durant Family Foundation intended to match other donations and be an incentive for more people to give

It’s stuff like this—dropping a million dollars without hesitation—that makes it so easy to root for Kevin Durant. Hopefully other celebs and athletes will follow Durant’s selfless lead and step up their donation game.
