Blogger Introduces Pages

Blogger has done something you all will LOVE. They've introduced pages, similar to what you are able to create in Wordpress.

You can publish static information on stand-alone pages linked from your blog. You can use pages to create an About Me page, or a contact me page, or a blogroll page! I'm loving this and soon, there will be some rearranging around here to make things even easier for you to find.

I'm thrilled about this new release and I knew a lot of you would be, too. Right now, the limit is 10 pages, but I can't imagine you would need more than that.

PS Here's a great tutorial on creating pages in blogger. If you can write a post, you can create a page.

Twitter Pages

I know you are probably saying to yourself "It's about time, woman!"

Well, ask no more.

I am now doing twitter backgrounds. They will be $15 without the blog design, or $10 with it!

Here's one I did for myself, just to give you an idea.

I finally took some time to update my blog design portfolio. You should check it out. There are some fabulous designs (if I do say so myself) and also some wonderful bloggers who would love some bloggy love.

Meeting with a Printer

I'm meeting with a printer tomorrow to finalize pricing and having a printer that can do a fabulous job on announcements and invites instead of just using snapfish, winkflask, or shutterfly. I'm hoping to be cheaper than other places out there. Once I get the prices, I will post them here!

So, if you know anybody having a baby, a party or anything else they wish to announce, please send them my way. I'd love to make the perfect original announcement to suit their needs!

Credits
I would really appreciate it if you would leave my button in your sidebar and any other additional credits. Please feel free to reorganize them, but that is how most people find me.

Payment
I accept payments via paypal (krizzydesigns at gmail dot com) or Revolution Money Exchange. I request a $10 deposit to get started. Please know that I do not take this money out of the account until you are satisfied and your design is complete.

I would also appreciate it if I could include your blog design in my portfolio. However, if you do not want a link to you blog and just the image, I completely understand.

I want to make sure you are completely satisfied with your entire blog design. If you aren't, please let me know. If it is significantly after you have approved your design and I have installed it, I might charge you for changes (depending on the difficulty).

I am a wife and mother to two very busy and very adorable little girls. You can read about them on my personal blog, Really, Are You Serious?

By day, I am a high school science teacher, and by night, I am a blog designer and announcement maker.

I would love to "pimp your blog" or make the perfect printed announcement for your little one (or big one).

Why Krizzy Designs?
I started giving my personal blog make overs, then friends started asking for me to do the same. After doing a couple, I decided I better give my designs a name; so I combined my name with my daughter's nickname (Izzy) and Krizzy Designs was born.

My goals:
To have you love your blog design/card design.
To have you be proud of your design.
To keep my prices low and affordable.
To eventually be able to stay at home with my girls.

Blog Design FAQ (updated 5/20/2009; subject to change):

How long does a design typically take?
It depends on required revisions and how quick you are to return emails, but typically between 1-2 weeks once Krizzy Designs get started on your blog. However, Krizzy Designs has been known to do a design in a day or two.

How much does it cost?
$45 for the design. This includes a header, a background, a signature and sidebar headers; see the fee breakdown for more information.

What is the typical process?
You decide you want Krizzy Designs to work on your blog.
You make the $10 deposit via paypal. There is a button to your left.
You fill out the questionnaire and email it to Krizzy Designs.
I will let you know when I will begin working on your header.
Once you approve your header, I will set up a test blog and send it to you.
Once you have approved everything, I will send you an invoice via paypal for the balance of your design.
After payment is received, I will install your blog for you.
Once your blog is installed, there might be minimal changes I will do, but I reserve the right to charge you for these changes.

What happens with my sidebars/widgets?
Everything in your sidebars should stay intact. However, it is a good idea to have everything backed up before I start the installation. As the blog owner, you are responsible for the sidebar content.

Where can I pick out images?
I recommend istock, fotolia, or dreamstime. These images are all royalty free and therefore can be used in your design.

Why do you need my username and password?
I log into your blog and make all of the necessary changes. If you aren't comfortable doing this, we have other options. Please let me know.

My kids have grown and changed, can you change out my header?
Sure. I would love to update your look. Depending on the detail and the number of pictures, I reserve the right to charge a fee.

All of a sudden I see a photobucket logo on my site. Where did everything go?
Photobucket will display their button if you don't log into it every 90 days. If you see this error/message, please log into your account and everything should be good and should still be there.
