The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 became a part of history as Obama signed the bill into law at an economic forum he was hosting in Denver, Colorado on Tuesday, February 17, 2009, upon returning to work after a 4-day weekend in his hometown of Chicago.

Just for reminder, many congressmen and senator from the right called this porkulus bill, in another words, full of unnecessary spending that in no way on this earth stimulating economy or bringing jobs to unemployed Americans. I also agree with that opinion of Republicans' about the gist of this bill. Let's go through some provisions from this bill that are total pork and unnecessary legislation for stimulating economy:
-->$4.2 billion to repair and modernize Department of Defense facilities
-->$100 million to improve facilities of the National Guard
-->$6 billion for renewable energy power generation loans
-->$5 billion for weatherizing modest-income homes
-->$4.5 billion for state and local governments to increase energy efficiency in federal buildings
-->$3.4 billion for carbon capture experiments
-->$2.5 billion for energy efficiency research
-->$2 billion for car battery research
-->$300 million for reducing diesel fuel emissions
-->$6 billion for the cleanup of radioactive waste
-->$600 million to cleanup hazardous waste that threaten health and the environment
-->$200 million to cleanup petroleum leaks from underground storage tanks
-->$500 million to update the computer center at the Social Security Administration
-->$290 million to upgrade IT platforms at the State Department
-->$50 million for IT improvements at the Farm Service Agency
-->$1 billion in preparation for the 2010 census
-->$650 million for DTV conversion coupons and DTV education
-->$8 billion for high-speed rail projects
-->$6.9 billion for new equipment for public transportation projects
-->$1.5 billion for competitive grants to state and local governments for transportation investments
-->$1.3 billion for Amtrak
-->$750 million for the construction of new public rail transportation systems
-->$750 million for the maintenance of existing public transportation systems
-->$240 million for the maintenance of United States Coast Guard facilities
-->$5.5 billion to green federal buildings
-->$50 million for new TSA uniforms
-->$198 million to design and furnish DHS headquarters
-->$1.2 billion for summer jobs for youth
-->$50 million for creating Frisbee parks
-->$71 million for altering vehicle parks
-->$1.2 billion for modernizing club houses and golf courses
-->$246 million for tax-breaks for Hollywood film-makers
-->$150 million for parking lots for dogs
-->$2.7 billion for creating or renovating urban canals
This list goes on but i have to finish somewhere so i believe they are the most important ones that my nation should be aware of. People believe me this is not it. The final version of the bill just includes $787 billion but White House has intentions to use more money than that they might use executive power to get $1 billion- $2 billion from federal reserve in this bill. Timothy Geithner, Secretary of Treasury, one who does not pay taxes because he is the head of the tax collecting agency, proposes to create one or more "bad banks" to buy and hold toxic assets, using a mix of taxpayer and private money. He also proposes to expand a lending program that would spend as much as $1 trillion to cover the decline in the issuance of securities backed by consumer loans. His announcement on the same day took DOW Jones 400 points down and it keeps going on since that day. Today, i read that this current stock exchange crash is the worst since the one in 1987.

A February 4, 2009, report by the Congressional Budget Office said that while the stimulus would increase economic output and employment in the short run, the GDP would, by 2019, have an estimated net decrease between 0.1% and 0.3%. The CBO estimates that enacting the bill would increase federal budget deficits by $185 billion over the remaining months of fiscal year 2009, by $399 billion in 2010, by $134 billion in 2011, and by $787 billion over the 2009-2019 period.

On January 28, 2009, a full page advertisement with the names of approximately 200 economists who are against Obama's plan appeared in The New York Times and The Wall St. Journal. The funding for this advertisement came from the Cato Institute. The ad stated, "... we the undersigned do not believe that more government spending is a way to improve economic performance. More government spending by Hoover and Roosevelt did not pull the United States economy out of the Great Depression in the 1930s... To improve the economy, policymakers should focus on reforms that remove impediments to work, savings, investment, and production. Lower tax rates and a reduction in the burden of government are the best ways of using fiscal policy to boost growth." On February 8, 2009, it was reported that a different petition, also signed by approximately 200 economists, but this one being in favor of Obama's plan, had been created. This petition was written by the liberal Center for American Progress Action Fund. The petition said that Obama's plan "proposes important investments that can start to overcome the nation's damaging loss of jobs," and that it would "put the United States back onto a sustainable long-term-growth path."

Even Gallup poll showed that 22% of America accept the bill the way it is, 37% accept it with some major changes and 32% say that there is nothing about this bill that is stimulative. Rasmussen poll stated that 42% American do not support this bill, 36% support this bill and 22% are undecided.

I hope you will love this new blog and i will wait for your feedback for this blog. I hope what ever decision Americans made in Presidential elections work out well in future. I pray that these porks will not even become a part of real life and save this economy simply by just using tax-cuts that are just 37% of this bill. Barack Obama definitely needs to take this stimulus bill under microscope because his presidential regime depends upon this economic plan.

God bless America and people all around the world
Thank you!

© 2009 Syed Rizvi – Time To Bring Things Around All Rights Reserved

<itunes:explicit>no</itunes:explicit><itunes:subtitle>It is my first blog in last two weeks so i believe my nation is assuming that it should definitely be special one. We are going through recession that President Obama inherited from President George Bush, President Bill Clinton, President George Bush Sr., and President Jimmy Carter. President Barack Obama is trying his best to repeat the history by becoming an hero like Ronald Reagan who took this country out of the worst economic recession since Great Depression that he inherited from President Jimmy Carter.

My whole introduction was based upon some accomplishments of President Ronald Reagan. It makes you think that who Reagan the superhero is. Who made my mind to consider him as my mentor. How his policies took country out of one of the worst economic downturn that America has ever faced.

Ronald Wilson Reagan was born in February 6, 1911 in Tampico, IL. This reminds me to wish President Reagan happy birthday. If he was alive now, he would be 98 years old. He attended Dixon High School and he got first job at the Rock River in Lowell Park as a life guard. Then, Reagan attended Eureka College. After college, he moved to Iowa where he got a job of broadcasting University of Iowa home football games for the Hawkeyes. Then, he joined the showbiz industry by working in number of movies such as Love is on the Air (1937; debut), Hollywood Hotel (1937), Cowboy from Brooklyn (1938), Brother Rat (1938), Dark Victory (1939), Hell's Kitchen (1939), An Angel from Texas (1940), The Bad Man (1941), King's Row (1942), Stallion Road (1947), The Hasty Heart (1949), The Last Outpost (1951), Prisoner of War (1954), The Young Doctors (1961), and others. After that he joined United States Army and United States Air Force. He also served for the country in World War II. He also served as a president of SAG (Screen Actors Guild).

A registered Democrat and admirer of Franklin D. Roosevelt, Reagan supported the New Deal. By the early 1950s, Reagan began to shift rightwards out of a desire for a more limited federal government, endorsing presidential candidacies of Dwight D. Eisenhower in 1952 and 1956 as well as Richard Nixon in 1960. Reagan formally switched to the Republican Party in 1962, saying "I didn't leave the Democratic Party. The party left me." Reagan opposed certain civil rights legislation, although he later reversed his opposition to voting rights and fair housing laws. His opposition to such laws was based on his preference for small government and states' rights. He strongly denied having racist motives. Reagan joined the campaign of conservative presidential contender Barry Goldwater. Speaking on Goldwater's behalf, Reagan stressed his belief in the importance of smaller government. He revealed his ideological motivation in a famed speech given on October 27, 1964: "The Founding Fathers knew a government can't control the economy without controlling people. And they knew when a government sets out to do that, it must use force and coercion to achieve its purpose. So we have come to a time for choosing." The speech raised $1 million for Goldwater's campaign, and soon became known as the "Time for Choosing" speech.California Republicans were impressed with Reagan's political views and charisma after his "Time for Choosing" speech, and nominated him for Governor of California in 1966.

Reagan was elected, defeating two-term governor Pat Brown, and was sworn in on January 3, 1967. In his first term, he froze government hiring and approved tax hikes to balance the budget.

Shortly after the beginning of his term, Reagan tested the presidential waters in 1968 as part of a "Stop Nixon" movement, hoping to cut into Nixon's Southern support and be a compromise candidate if neither Nixon nor second-place Nelson Rockefeller received enough delegates to win on the first ballot at the Republican convention. However, by the time of the convention Nixon had 692 delegate votes, 25 more than he needed to secure the nomination, followed by Rockefeller with Reagan in third place.

In 1969, during the People's Park protests at UC Berkeley, Reagan sent the California Highway Patrol and other officers to quell the protests, in an incident that became known as "Bloody Thursday."

Despite an unsuccessful attempt to recall him in 1968, Reagan was re-elected in 1970, defeating "Big Daddy" Jesse Unruh. He chose not to seek a third term in the following election cycle. One of Reagan's greatest frustrations in office concerned capital punishment, which he strongly supported. His efforts to enforce the state's laws in this area were thwarted when the Supreme Court of California issued its People v. Anderson decision, which invalidated all death sentences issued in California prior to 1972, though the decision was later overturned by a constitutional amendment.

In 1976, Reagan challenged incumbent President Gerald Ford in a bid to become the Republican Party's candidate for president. Reagan soon established himself as the conservative candidate.Reagan ended up losing New Hampshire and later Florida. As the party's 1976 convention in Kansas City, Missouri neared, Ford appeared close to victory. Acknowledging his party's moderate wing, Reagan chose moderate Republican Senator Richard Schweiker of Pennsylvania as his running mate. Nonetheless, Ford narrowly won, with 1,187 delegates to Reagan's 1,070.

The 1980 presidential campaign between Reagan and incumbent President Jimmy Carter was conducted during domestic concerns as well as the ongoing Iran hostage crisis. His campaign stressed some of his fundamental principles: lower taxes to stimulate the economy, less government interference in peoples' lives, states' rights, and a strong national defense. After receiving the Republican nomination, he selected one of his primary opponents, George H.W. Bush, to be his running mate. Reagan won the election, carrying 44 states with 489 electoral votes to 49 electoral votes for Carter (representing six states and Washington, D.C.). Reagan won 50.7% of the popular vote while Carter took 41%.

In his first inaugural address on January 20, 1981, which Reagan himself wrote, he addressed the country's economic malaise arguing: "Government is not the solution to our problems; government is the problem." The Reagan Presidency began in a dramatic manner: as Reagan was giving his inaugural address, 52 U.S. hostages, held by Iran for more than a year were set free.

Only a short time into his administration, federal air traffic controllers went on strike, violating a regulation prohibiting government unions from striking. Reagan stated that if the air traffic controllers "do not report for work within 48 hours, they have forfeited their jobs and will be terminated." Despite fear from some members of his cabinet over a potential political backlash, on August 5, Reagan fired 11,345 striking air traffic controllers who had ignored his order to return to work busting the union.

When Reagan entered office, the United States inflation rate stood at 11.83% and 10 million people were unemployed, worse than the current situation that is actually at most 4 million unemployed Americans. Reagan implemented policies based on supply-side economics and advocated a classical liberal and laissez-faire philosophy, seeking to stimulate the economy with large, across-the-board tax cuts. Citing the economic theories of Arthur Laffer, Reagan promoted the proposed tax cuts as potentially stimulating the economy enough to expand the tax base, offsetting the revenue loss due to reduced rates of taxation. During Reagan's presidency, federal income tax rates were lowered significantly with the signing of the bipartisan Economic Recovery Tax Act of 1981. GDP growth recovered strongly after the 1982 recession and grew during his eight years in office at an annual rate of 3.4% per year. Sixteen million new jobs were created, while inflation significantly decreased. The net effect of all Reagan-era tax bills was a 1% decrease in government revenues. Reagan also revised the tax code with the bipartisan Tax Reform Act of 1986. Reagan did all this by not spending trillion dollars on infrastructure and simply invested on tax-cut that made a rapid economic growth unlike the current government, President Obama, Speaker Pelosi, and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, who are planning to spend trillions of dollars on infrastructure and science research and less on tax-relief by making Liberals' Christmas List.

Reagan escalated the Cold War, accelerating a reversal from the policy of détente which began in 1979 following the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan. Reagan ordered a massive buildup of the United States Military and implemented new policies towards the Soviet Union: reviving the B-1 bomber program that had been canceled by the Carter administration, and producing the MX missile.

Reagan's opponent in the 1984 presidential election was former Vice President Walter Mondale. Reagan was re-elected, winning 49 of 50 states. The president's landslide victory saw Mondale carry only his home state of Minnesota (by 3800 votes) and the District of Columbia. Reagan won a record 525 electoral votes, the most of any candidate in United States history and received 58.8% of the popular vote to Mondale's 40.6%.

In 1986, Reagan signed a drug enforcement bill that budgeted $1.7 billion dollars to fund the War on Drugs and specified a mandatory minimum penalty for drug offenses.

In 1986, Reagan signed the Immigration Reform and Control Act (IRCA). The act made it illegal to knowingly hire or recruit illegal immigrants, required employers to attest to their employees' immigration status, and granted amnesty to approximately 3 million illegal immigrants who entered the United States prior to January 1, 1982 and had lived in the country continuously.

After President Reagan's military buildup, the Soviet Union did not further dramatically build up its military; the enormous military expenses, in combination with collectivized agriculture and inefficient planned manufacturing, were a heavy burden for the Soviet economy. At the same time, the Reagan Administration persuaded Saudi Arabia to increase oil production, which resulted in a three times drop of oil prices in 1985; oil was the main source of Soviet export revenues. These factors gradually brought the Soviet economy to a stagnant state during Gorbachev's tenure.Reagan believed that if he could persuade the Soviets to allow for more democracy and free speech, this would lead to reform and the end of Communism.
Speaking at the Berlin Wall, on June 12, 1987, Reagan stated,"General Secretary Gorbachev, if you seek peace, if you seek prosperity for the Soviet Union and Eastern Europe, if you seek liberalization: Come here to this gate! Mr. Gorbachev, open this gate! Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall!” The Soviet Leader announced his intention to pursue significant arms agreements. The timing of the announcement led Western diplomats to state that Gorbachev was offering major concessions to the United States on the levels of conventional forces, nuclear weapons, and policy in Eastern Europe;however, Gorbachev denied ever doing so. He and Reagan signed the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces (INF) Treaty at the White House, which eliminated an entire class of nuclear weapons.

President Reagan died on June 5, 2004 at the age of 94 due to the Alzheimer's disease that he was diagonsed with in 1993. President George W. Bush declared June 11 a National Day of Mourning.

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 184px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_EKf0a6gKMO0/SYfpIhFoSeI/AAAAAAAAAEA/eBCY8A3DorU/s400/stat.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5298459819154885090" /> A Gallup Organization February 2001 poll asked respondents to name the greatest president in U.S. history; Reagan came in first, capturing 18% of the vote. In February 2007, another Gallup poll ranked him as number two with 16% of the vote after Abraham Lincoln. He ranked third with a 72% approval rating in a Rasmussen Reports July 2007 poll on presidents who served after World War II, fifth in an ABC 2000 poll of the public, and ninth in another Rasmussen 2007 poll of Americans. (Courtesy Of Wikipedia for statistics and charts for approval ratings)

This entire blog was to dedicate Reagan's Legacy on his birthday week. I personally feel like that that 2009 is almost like 1981 when we were in economic recession. It's time for President Obama to start acting like President Reagan to deal with these major issues. If Obama believes that he portrays almost like President Lincoln and Reagan then he has to make his decision on his own without having any kind of consent from partisans in Congress. He needs to imply his own original version of stimulus package and disregard every suggestion from Senators and Congressmen who only care about their parties. He needs to be confident about his own party. He wants to be the best like former presidential conservative or some liberal ideals then he needs to take everything in his own hands because he has everything, confidence of America. He needs to show his major role on his executive or legislative orders that make an outcome of his agenda even better. Barack Obama should take this stimulus package seriously because his presidential career depends on it if he really wants to get re-elected in 2012 for second term. He needs to put more emphasis on tax relief than on spending. This is the only way you can get rid of economic recession. Because economy can only be prospered by either tax-cut or war. Examples are World War II during FDR's presidency and tax-cuts during Reagan's presidential reign.

I hope that you will like this blog especially Ronald Reagan if he gets a chance to read my blog. I will wait for your feedback so don't forget to comment.

Thank You!
Happy Birthday President Reagan!
God bless America and all other nations around the world!

© 2009 Syed Rizvi – Time To Bring Things Around All Rights Reserved

Obamania: A microbe with the shiny, poisonous tentacles

Hi! everyone. Welcome back to my blog
For old readers, as you guys know I am finally back and hoping this time i will be better than ever. By the way, I realized that my nation fell apart when i left so join me back in this journey so we can go together.
For new ones, I am patriot, country-lover, strong, and bold person. I express my views to people whether they like it or not. I am going to show you right face of people and their ideas about the things that either don't exist or don't make any sense. So stand by, Super Rizvi is inviting you to join me in this journey where we left off.
Therefore, ITS TIME TO BRING THINGS AROUND

The year, 2009, was started peacefully from Sydney, Australia to all the way Honolulu, United States of America. People made a number of resolutions and hopes that everything will get better and their life will be back to normal from this economic downturn. Hope is the word that is still keeping people alive. That one day they will wake up and see sunshine that says to them good morning sir/madam so lets get started.

A man from Chicago who has an Hawaiian background, started to redefine the meaning of a word "hope." People start believing him and adoring him because of his words that bring them energy that they need to fix their own life. This man calls himself Barack Hussein Obama, President of the United States of America.

Many people voted for him without even knowing anything about him. Yes, that's true. Most people just know his name. Now i would like to share some stats with you about the voters who voted for Obama and their lack of knowledge courtesy of Direct link to the source. (And we "gave" one answer that was technically not Palin, but actually Tina Fey)

Barack Obama gained support actually by being a black man who is surrounded by bunch of white people. It makes him look cool to innocent and dumb people of USA. He started to campaign by using his technological awareness stunt on John McCain that McCain does not know how to use youtube. Mr. Obama! if you are reading it, I have a request please read this country's Constitution once. There is some cool stuff in it like qualification to become a President of the United States where it does not mention anything about awareness of modern technology. And it reminds me one more thing that Mr. President is so proud of his awareness about technology that a couple of days ago, he forgot the link of usaservice.org. He flubbed on it about seven times. It could not gain attention because media is full of liberals who melt right in front of Obama. Good luck with that Mr. President. You must be so proud of keeping it out of people's sight.

Also, people consider him as a second coming of messiah. Is he really a Savior that everyone is talking about? I am a simple guy. I ask you these questions;
1) Have you ever seen this guy walking on the body of water?
2) Have you ever seen Obama healing sick people or giving a life to dead?
3) Have you ever seen our President turning water into wine?
If once, please let me know because i believe my lack of knowledge is taking me out of President's good side. This man has not done anything. You are taking him like a person who is a remedy of your diseases. Actually, this man's stimulus package is worse than the remedy that big institutions got, better known as bailout. This seems like a shiny, precious metal but actually it is bitter as a poison because it is taking our economy no where as New Deals implemented by President Franklin D. Roosevelt.

As you all know the relationships of Barack Obama and Rev. Jeremiah Wright. Wright is Pastor Emeritus and the former Pastor of the Trinity United Church of Christ (TUCC), a mega church in Chicago. He was an attention of controversies in March 2008 when he stated in one of his sermons,"God bless America..Nah..No..NO, God d*** America." After that Obama gave his speech "A More Perfect Union" in which Obama stated that Jeremiah Wright is like a family to him, strengthens his faith, can't disown him more than his white grandmother, and he respects Wright for his contributions. Do you believe on a man who has pastor giving him guidance to destroy this nation?

The main factor in making Barack Obama the President of United States of America was his stimulus package that could take out the country from the worst economic downturn since Great Depression but this actual worst economical crisis that was initiated by President Jimmy Carter because he spent most of the budget money on environmental projects that were still failed. Barack Obama wants to pass approximately $1.2 trillion budget deficit during times when our country owed approximately $10 trillion. How Government is going to get this much money and if they have this much money why dont they pay off those debts so country can out of those burdens that are main causes of this recession. Obama wants to use in these fields that are as follows:
He wants to start a new social health program better known as Universal Health Care Plan. Ok this make sense to me that this is the most important area where money is acquired most when half of the population is without any kind of health insurance coverage.
He wants to build up the social infrastructure of local areas by building roads, highways, off-shore drilling, and energy alternative projects. I don't feel like federal government can take this kind of responsibility because last time when FDR introduced New Deals, policies to improve conditions of social infrastructure, that took this country to nowhere and they were ended up by being abolished by Supreme court or either overruled by FDR's own cabinet.
His plan to provide jobs to about 4million jobless people.(in different occasions Obama said 1.5million people, 2million people, 3 million people or 3.5 so these decrees by Mr. President keep changing). I believe if he is really going to do that this is the good step but first he has to have enough amount of government, semi-private, or private institutions who can hire this number of people. Unfortunately, this is not the case because Obama is only going to tax rich people that makes 5% of our population who are responsible for providing jobs to middle class people. Just answer this question; if you are heavily taxed by your government than are you willing to live in this country? So these people might move and set up their business in other countries. On the other hand, Obama announced that he wants to bankrupt the coal industry on the issue of energy alternatives. This will lead to the loss of millions of job in this industry. Has Obama ever thought about that?

Barack Obama started his campaign with the word hope and change that i discussed earlier in this blog. Now, he is president. Did you see any sign of change and hope so far that makes you think that Barack Obama is really bringing a positive revival in this nation? In his inauguration speech, he did not show any signs of change and try to be conservative through bipartisanship that is,I believe, a good sign for taking this country forward without even caring about the past. He used many statements in his inauguration from President Bush's speeches from different occasion. Doesn't that make you think he is another Bush that according to liberals is the worst president in American history but apparently he is the best president who has gone through tough periods but he fought back, and defended our nation, and saved lives of those liberals who had fear of another terrorist attack in post 9/11 era and now criticize just to be kept up their liberal faces?

Barack Obama has planned a number of plans that are either going to affect this nation positively or negatively. It might have mixed type of effects on the nation. Many people will like it but others won't. As you all know, he did not do anything yet even in his own state, Illinois. He was the senator representing the great state of Illinois and voted present on most of the bills in senate that basically means he does not have any opinion or is not interested in participating on those issues. When state has their representatives in senate, they expect that those representatives express and legalize their state's views whether they become effective or not.

I personally root for Obama to succeed because his success is my success and this nation's success after all he is our president. We should respect him whether we like his views or not. Unfortunately, we could not show the respect that Bush deserves. People booed him during inauguration those people prove that they are neither patriotic nor optimistic for this country. However, they proved to be partisan that Obama does not like. Obama-lovers! Barack Obama seriously does not like the way you coordinate the way he was even he was glad that no violence was happened but he could not represent his nation properly the way he actually by having you respectful to other people. It makes sense that you are in love with him but give this guy a break. First, see how he does his job and then either praise him for his positive efforts or analyze him when he does anything wrong. Nation! open your eyes, rub them, and then you can see the world from the bright side. It is the side that you generally used during Clinton's presidency, Reagan's presidency, or others.

I hope you like this article. After reading it, try to think about what you are missing from inside. Think it as this could be helpful to you. Loving someone up to certain extent make sense but when it reaches the limit, it becomes dangerous.

I will wait for your feedback posting your comment right below this blog or if there is any difficulty then send your feedback to syed4presorking@aol.com. I will loved to take your feedback to my consideration that might help me in my next month's blog.

Thank You!
Happy Chinese New Year!
Good luck!
God bless America and all other nations around the world!

© 2009 Syed Rizvi – Time To Bring Things Around All Rights Reserved

<itunes:explicit>no</itunes:explicit><itunes:subtitle>Hi! everyone. Welcome back to my blog For old readers, as you guys know I am finally back and hoping this time i will be better than ever. Therefore, ITS TIME TO BRING THINGS AROUND The year, 2009, was started peacefully from Sydney, Australia to all the way Honolulu, United States of America. Click here Zogby Poll 512 Obama Voters 11/13/08-11/15/08 MOE +/- 4.4 points 97.1% High School Graduate or higher, 55% College Graduates Results to 12 simple Multiple Choice Questions 57.4% could NOT correctly say which party controls congress (50/50 shot just by guessing) 71.8% could NOT correctly say Joe Biden quit a previous campaign because of plagiarism (25% chance by guessing) 82.6% could NOT correctly say that Barack Obama won his first election by getting opponents kicked off the ballot (25% chance by guessing) 88.4% could NOT correctly say that Obama said his policies would likely bankrupt the coal industry and make energy rates skyrocket (25% chance by guessing) 56.1% could NOT correctly say Obama started his political career at the home of two former members of the Weather Underground (25% chance by guessing). And yet..... Only 13.7% failed to identify Sarah Palin as the person on which their party spent $150,000 in clothes Only 6.2% failed to identify Palin as the one with a pregnant teenage daughter And 86.9 % thought that Palin said that she could see Russia from her "house," even though that was Tina Fey who said that!! Only 2.4% got at least 11 correct. Only .5% got all of them correct. (And we "gave" one answer that was technically not Palin, but actually Tina Fey) Barack Obama gained support actually by being a black man who is surrounded by bunch of white people. Also, people consider him as a second coming of messiah. Is he really a Savior that everyone is talking about?
