My Comment :

Up is without a doubt another Pixar masterpiece! Pixar has made ten out of ten fantastic movies and this is definitely up there with the greatest and perhaps funniest of them all! The characters are all immediately lovable and the stunning 3-D visuals are amazing! The opening scenes are beautiful and many people in my showing were crying at the touching beginning. The story is so original and the talking dogs are so cleverly done that it hardly seem far-fetched at all. Alpha, the lead dog was hilarious with his high pitched voice, and it was awesome how much the dogs still acted like dogs. Kevin the bird gave a great deal of laughs as did Russel the Wilderness Explorer.

This is pixars first attempt at making a movie with realistic humans as the main characters (Incredibles doesn’t count since they were superheroes) and it is above and beyond successful. It is amazing how the studio can create a grumpy old man that the audience will easily connect with and find charming. Up deserves a 10 out of 10 and everyone of all ages should see this as soon as possible!

My Comment :

Totally loved it!! I have never seen Sam Worthington and I have to say that he stole the thunder from Christian, as much as I love Christian. It’s the kind of movie that you want to see on the big screen!I loved the scene in the helicopter in the beginning, It was sooo realistic, almost like you were actually in the airplane with Christian as it was going down, so much so that I had to look away for a second because it felt like I was in the plane at one point! I really do wish that there was more chemistry with Bryce and Christian but I suppose he wasn’t there to be super emotional, anyway.Sam really took me by surprise because I started off ho-hum with him and quickly changed my mind.

My Comment :

I just loved it!!! Don’t pay attention to all those 3-4 stars this was a great movie. It is a great movies for those of you who wants to take their kids to a fun movie or even for those of you who want a magical night. All kinds of creatures came alive, and there are some hilarious jokes that you just fell of your sits laughing so hard. I loved the whole magical coming alive creatures and i loved that there was more action in the movie than in the first one, and also more special affects more of everything. The moral in the story is a little bit much for me but who cares if you enjoy everything else. Everyone did a a great job. Amy Adams is just adorable she has such an Amy Adams character , she was funny and believable and beautiful.

My Comment :

I know there has been a lot complaint about the changes done in the movie; from the twist ending even to the storyline. But as a person who hasn’t read the novel, I find the movie as a very effective thriller. The storyline is very complicated yet interesting. The suspense is intense. I love the twist ending. The acting, though not Oscar-worthy. The editing is done very well. And the special effect is marvelous. The movie itself is such an eye-candy (it’s like a tourism video of Rome). And the movie seems to be like a visualization of a novel. Watching it feels like you’re reading a book.

Angels & Demons is a sure movie for anyone who wants a bit of suspense, intensity and mystery and also for those who like thought-provoking stories.

My Comment :

The movie was great. The fight are very nice as well. There is a lot of action and love and the ending is not what you would expect. You should see this movie if you get a chance. There was a lot of laughing going on and the people watching the movie all seemed pleased. There are some very hardcore comic fans that may try to nit pick, but if you are just going for a good movie to watch, that just so happens to have a cool X-men as the star, this is the movie for you!

My Comment :

Being a fan of crank 1, I was excited for this. Jason Statham is great once again as his second time portraying Chev Chelios, now an ex hit man in search of his stolen heart. It sounds crazy, but it is crazy fun! Amy Smart is great as Chev’s girlfriend and you better believe there’s another public sex scene in this! Great cameo by Corey Haim who plays a mullet-wearing pimp.
The film has some oddities, for example a King Kong type fight sequence, a “F**K YOU CHEV CHELIOS” montage and an interesting flash back of Chev as a kid. It’s all OK though, because this type of film can get away with it…it’s chaos unfolding in front of your eyes. Very fun chaos. The flashback scene was a bit much and no need to develop Chev’s character any further than it has already, we get the point, he’s a bad ass and always has been that way. Other than the flashback scene, this film will take you on a thrill ride across Los Angeles, dealing with Mexican gangsters, Chinese Triad Mafia, random old ladies, a porn industry strike and Kaylo’s twin brother Venus looking to avenge his brother’s murder.

This film breaks rules. This film hits hard. This film is extremely fast. And this film is hilariously action-packed. This film is for anyone who wants to have fun and laugh for an hour and a half. Absolutely brainless, but it’s fun.

My Comment :

I was a fan of the manga/anime series when i was still a kid. when i saw the first few clips and trailers on youtube i knew this movie would suck. But in the end i gave it a chance and i told myself, “Hey, let’s have some campy fun and not try to think too much.” As soon as the movie starts, and the first line uttered by Gohan, i wanted to leave the cinema hall. 90 minutes was just too long. I felt as though it was 3 hours.

i’m not trying to be a hater . It looked like an amateur movie made by a new director. The dialogues were stupid and the plot was terrible. There was no character development at all and they try to make the fight scenes look cool with the slow motion but it’s god damn lame. and the jokes fall flat.

Worse part was the way they try to work out a love story between Bulma and Yamcha within 15 minutes of knowing each other. The Kame Hame Ha scene turned into a cheesy high school love story. I was twitching the moment i heard the lines being uttered by Goku to Chi Chi while he was training his Kame Hame Ha. In fact, i twitched every time a line is being uttered by the actors and actresses. i was disappointing with the gigantic monkey too, you see in the comics look like a guy wearing a rubber gorilla suit. The special effects throughout the movie looked like as though it was from a cheap movie.

I like the new “Fast and Furious movie.” I thought it was a lot better than the others. The actors did a terrific job, and each character in my opinion fit their roll perfectly. I loved how much action was in this movie . I didn’t get bored once while watching this movie because there is so much action, romance, bravery, and regrets. My favorite action part of this movie has to be towards the beginning when the truck accidentally sets on fire and is rolling very quickly toward them; they wait for just the right second to quickly drive under it. I did like the part at the end where it shows Dom (Vin Diesel) on the prison bus going to face 25 years in prison, and his sister and his friends drive up past the bus. I can’t wait to see the next one to see what their plan is and how they are going to get him off the bus so he doesn’t end up in prison. One part that really made me sad is when Dom’s girlfriend got murdered by his rival but I really liked in the end when Dom struck back and killed him and his friend who were both more of the bad guys. Overall I believe this movie – The characters, setting, and all of the action- was spectacular. I was very surprised that l liked this movie  after seeing the others.

My Comment :

Dreamworks newest animated film “Monsters vs Aliens” was definitely going to catch a lot of people attention. Having big stars such as Seth Rogan, Steven Colbert, Rainn Wilson, doing voices for such funny looking animated characters was a great way to get people interested in spending their hard earned money on a children’s film.it is a good comedy which succeeds in entertaining children and adults alike. Filled with humor that is understood by kids but also of relevance to adult living the movie is truly enjoyable for all.

The plot is great, fun filled, and entertaining, with lots of laughs, the characters are all likable, the jokes are all appropriate…I really can’t think of any major flaws. The movie is just pure fun, that anyone can enjoy! The 3D is also excellent (well…in some parts…in others its actually not even noticeable…) but still well worth the asking price!

My Comment :

After seeing the first preview for the Watchmen I immediately wanted to see the movie. The trailer looked fantastic . I’ll admit it : I have never read the original ‘Watchmen’ graphic novel.

I like Zach Snyder from his last movie, 300. So, I went with high expectations and was pretty disappointed. really, Don’t get me wrong the movie wasn’t terrible but it just never seemed to hit a climax. As far as the acting went Rorschach was fantastic and the Comedian was also pretty good but that was it. The visuals were great which is something I expected. In my opinion the movie was mediocre, not great, but not terrible . hehehe
