Turns out line 2129 of mobile/iphone.js breaks. I removed the µ, maybe lost a hidden character or something and it works fine now in webkit browsers, and my Samsung. I don't think the µ entity is the problem but rather a hidden character from a Unix text editor that I've noticed sometimes creep into Javascript files and break them in certain browsers.
