It also was a special trip because Kim was honored to be able to speak at one of the main platform talks.   She really got in there and spoke from the heart about not being afraid to really follow your dreams and to be all that you can be.  It was an inspiring and fun presentation full of information for professional and aspiring photographers from all over the world.  It was a huge honor and compliment to be asked to give such a presentation and to be able to share some of the heart of what we do.  We hope we inspired a few people out there to fear less and dream more…

I also had to share this image of little Svea… how beautiful can a baby be?!?  I mean really…if Gerber was looking for a new model, she would be the one.

This wonderful family travels from Oklahoma at least once a year, if not more, to come and see us.  This is always such an honor that they, along with their adorable kiddos, make this trek.  One of my favorite things about them is that we have really gotten to know each other over the years.  Trust has been built and lots of laughter has been had.  It wouldn’t be the holiday season without them…

Oh my, I can not believe they are already 7 and 3 years old!  My heart just goes pitter pat, pitter pat everytime I see these two smiling faces.  The missing tooth, the cowlick, the chubby little arms, the hair that can not be tamed (and blonde!?!), but most of all, the smiles that go all the way through them.  These are the things that I see when I look at this image.  I don’t see if the light is just perfect or if I nailed all the technical aspects of the shot.  It is always amazing for me to be reminded on a personal level how my clients must feel.  I am so grateful when I get an artful image that will remind me of all those special things about my kiddos that I will never ever want to forget… tear.

This was one of my favorite ages as a parent because each day was full of surprises and delight. This was the beginning of seeing our children’s personalities really shine.

After meeting little Henson, I can only imagine what this little girl will be like. She could not stop smiling and clapping. She could not have been any cuter!!! She was so full of happiness that I had to make myself put my camera down because I just could have gone on forever and ever… Thanks Henson and I can’t wait to watch you grow!

This is one of our favorite families… Hannah and Charlotte, twins full of laughter and love. Their mommy wanted a session overflowing with fun and giggles. With the extra boost of sugar…that most certainly wasn’t a problem! Don’t you just love the missing teeth?

I just loved this quote and with a brand new baby in our lives, it felt so appropriate to share with this post.  Many of you have been asking how Jessica is and if she had her baby.  Soooo sorry everyone that I didn’t post this sooner.  I was waiting to be able to post her images from her newborn session not even thinking how wonderful it would be to also share some from her actual ‘birth’ day.

Svea Whitney Sikes is absolutely adorable and is being a wonderful little baby following all her mommy and daddy’s requests by sleeping and eating like a champ.  Her big sister loves to kiss her and everyone couldn’t be happier!  We love you Jess and family!
