You can make money online now with your own website or even a hosted website or link that you get from your own store or affiliate program!

With a small budget you can use PPC (Pay Per Click) advertising using Google or Yahoo to get clicks on your affiliate link or website to start making money.

If you don’t have the budget to start with your own PPC program, I would create a website that is informative and has a lot of conversation from you and your readers so that search engines pick up your website or blog and list you as close to number one that you can get so you can start making money online.

Blogs are an easy and free ( If you use wordpress.org ) way to get people interested in your blog and have a conversation with the people reading your blog. Make sure you know what you are talking about when you create your blog so that you don’t look like someone just trying to make money online. I would start off with a site that has information that you know of, is easy to navigate and creates that atmosphere that people will want to come back to.

Traffic coming to your site will become sales if you keep them coming back for more!

You can make money online now if you use these methods for creating a website or blog:

• Keep your website about the topic you claim to have in the description and title. This way search engines won’t penalize you about content.
• Make sure your readers keep coming back for more. Offer prizes or even banner space for content if they wish to write about what your website or blog is about.
• Stay away from Porn or Illegal topics that can harm your website or blog standing.

It may sound too good to be true but believe me when I tell you that if you follow your own design and create a website or blog that is interesting and motivational, you will make money online.

I have found that working with blogs gets you ranked higher in Yahoo and can create traffic if your topic is what the title and description say it is and you have the content that is worth reading.

Don’t just spam the keyword or keyword phrases to get your site higher. Most search engines can see this spam and knock your sox off and even black list you!

One affiliate program that I use to make money online now is PJN or Pepperjam Network. They have awesome stores and merchants that you can choose from and even have a referal program set in place so that you can make money online now from people that you get to join.

PJN is an awesome affiliate program that I use personally to make money online and have many of their banners on my pages. I use them and cj.com. CJ.com has been around for a while and I used to make thousands per month with them. You too have the ability to make money online now if you join one or more affiliate programs and use all of their marketing techniques to get your site making money.

PJN, Linkshare and CJ.com are the three affiliate programs that I use personally and make money online with each of them in their own unique way. You can find out what they offer and even set up your own website and blog to advertise each merchant you find.

PJN has a program called “PJN Store Builder” that you can use to sell products on your website or blog that is very unique. I will include that here:

This is for a merchant called Link-Assistant. You can purchase the products and have them used on your website or blog to increase traffic, improve your search engine ranking and start to make money online now!

You can also download all of the merchants products and create a website or blog that will include each individual product for you to sell. I do this for some of my websites that I have and it works out pretty good. If you are going to do this, I would recommend altering the product titles and descriptions so that search engines will see that your products are unique to your website and not an affiliate program. I would also, instead of having a link to the merchants site, create a form with a submit button to get to the merchants website.

Sometimes, I would use the store builder and make the price of the product invisible or “white” because sometimes the price is higher than on the actual website and this will make the customer not want to click the submit button.

If you have the price of the product “white” then people will want to click the submit button to see what the price is.

“PC Memory Store” is a good example of a PJN merchant becuase their prices are very low and you can make money online with them faster because their prices are really LOW! They have quality memory for most computers, printers, servers and such that I have personally purchased from them and was 100% satisfied with the product. You have to have their banner or PJN Store Builder on your website so that you can make money online with them.

going on good SEO:

• Make sure that you use correct html/xhtml when you create your website.
  Your Doctype dictates which to use. I would also go here: http://validator.w3.org/check/referer
  to check and make sure that everything is 100% correct. W3.org also has a
  CSS checker as well.
• Once you have your website checked and everything is ok. Make sure you
  have good content. Don’t just spam your keywords and keyword phrases all
  over the page. Write a story that makes sense and make sure to utilize the
  keywords and keyword phrases abound.
• Make sure you use the proper headings H1 thru H3 on your page. Don’t
  overdo these.
• Make sure when people are linking to your site they use the same link and
  phrase to get there. I would suggest having a text column on your website or
  blog  with the code that you want to use. A good suggestion is this: If
  you would like to link to my site, please use this code:

  <a href="http://www.kevinslair.com" title="How to make money online from home">How to make money online from home</a>

• Find as many people with higher PR (Google Page Rank) than you and get
  them to link to your site with the method above. You might have to link to
  their site for them to do this, but it’s worth it.

As an Internet marketing strategy, SEO considers how search engines work and what people search for. Optimizing a website primarily involves editing its content and HTML coding to both increase its relevance to specific keywords and to remove barriers to the indexing activities of search engines.

The acronym "SEO" can also refer to "search engine optimizers", a term adopted by an industry of consultants who carry out optimization projects on behalf of clients, and by employees who perform SEO services in-house. Search engine optimizers may offer SEO as a stand-alone service or as a part of a broader marketing campaign. Because effective SEO may require changes to the HTML source code of a site, SEO tactics may be incorporated into web site development and design. The term
"search engine friendly" may be used to describe web site designs, menus, content management systems and shopping carts that are easy to optimize.

Another class of techniques, known as black hat SEO or Spamdexing, use methods such as link farms and keyword stuffing that degrade both the relevance of search results and the user-experience of search engines. Search engines look for sites that employ these techniques in order to remove them from their indices."

From my point of view if you use correct HTML/XHTML and make sure that
everything is 100% according to your sites doctype. 

Also, if you make sure that you use correct grammar (I use a word editor to
make sure all the words are correct) you will rank higher than a site that has
poor or undistinguishable writing on their blog or website.

Also, get people to link back to your website or blog for good Google PR
(Page Rank). I use a link exchange program that you use with wordpress.org for
that!

Don’t forget that to have good search engine optimization you must have the
keywords or keyword phrase on your page. Don’t overdo or spam your website or
blog with them. Google is cracking down on this and your site or blog could get
banned from the index.

I have also found that if you use the meta’s correctly in your website or
blog’s head you will rank too. You may look at mine as an example. I find that
it works.

I am not an expert or claim to be one, but some of my sites are ranked in the
top 20 and even top 10.

Keep your chin up and keep updating your blog or website and you too will
have a good SEO for the keywords or keyword phrase that you are working on!

Online video directories for brands are a good example of interactive
advertising. These directories complement television advertising and allow the
viewer to view the commercials of a number of brands. If the advertiser has
opted for a response feature, the viewer may then choose to visit the brand’s
website, or interact with the advertiser through other touch points such as
email, chat or phone. Response to brand communication is instantaneous, and
conversion to business is very high. This is because in contrast to conventional
forms of interruptive advertising, the viewer has actually chosen to see the
commercial."

Online advertising comes in two flavors, free online advertising and paid
online advertising.

Free Online Advertising

Free online advertising is just what it sounds like, you can advertise for
free. This is done by a mutual exchange of banners or links, called banner
exchange or link exchange. I have a link exchange program that is set up so you
can advertise your link on my site at the same time my link is exchanged on your
site. The same for banners, usually you host their banner on your site while
your banner is on their site.

Also, there are some classified ads that will show your advertisement for
free. You can do a Google search and find them. I soon would like to host a free
advertising classified ad as soon as I find a good PHP and MySql based script
for it.

Paid Online Advertising

When you pay to have your website or blog advertised online this is called
"Paid Online Advertising". There are several options to have your
website or blog advertised for a fee. You can use Google, Yahoo and others to
advertise your website for a fee with their sponsored search results. You can
pay to have your website or blog on the top of website searches for a fee, this
can be anywhere from $ .10 to $ 1.00 or more. It depends on how high you want
your advertisement listed.

You can also pay to have your website or blog listed with other websites that
rank higher than yours. I have done this and it can work out pretty good. It
depends on how trustworthy the other website or blog is. Like I said, I have
done this and it does work. You can also have your banner or text link listed in
classified ads for a price. Unless the classified ad is free.

Email Advertising

I would be very careful if you use a service that sends out email
advertising. You don’t want your website of blog hit for sending spam (unwanted
commercial email). There are some services that are legitimate and send Opt-In
Email to a specified list. Opt-In email are people that sign up to receive email
from you.

Content sites commonly charge a fixed price per click rather than use a bidding
system.

Websites that utilize PPC ads will display an advertisement when a keyword

ads, and appear adjacent to or above organic results on search engine results
pages, or anywhere a web developer chooses on a content site.”

Pay per click advertising has one very clear advantage over all other kinds
of advertising. When you join Google, Yahoo or other search engine’s pay per
click program, you can pay to be number one in the “Sponsored Search”
area of the search engine. This usually is right at the top of the search
engine’s search page. If you can afford it, it can be a very lucrative
experience in the fact that you will get a majority of the traffic going to your
site. Just remember not to exceed your budget when it comes to being listed. I
have found that number one or number ten get about the same amount of traffic.
It depends on how many sponsored search results are listed. Google lists three
at the top and none at the bottom, but that is not true for all search engines.

Pay per click advertising also has its disadvantages in that you will have to
pay upwards of $ 1.00 per click or even more. If you can find a keyword or
keyword phrase that is not used very often, the price starts at about $ .10 per
click on some search engines. When I started a long time ago it used to be one
cent per click, Then five cents per click and now ten cents per click at
minimum.

You don’t always have to use search engines for their pay per click
advertising, some websites that generate a lot of traffic will host your banner
or link on the website or blog as a pay per click advertising method as well. I
would do this with caution and make sure that you will not be cheated if
anything goes wrong. I wouldn’t pay up front for this service either. Pay once
you start getting the clicks to your site.

Pay per click advertising also has an advantage in the fact that you can
choose which keywords or keyword phrases you want to advertise. This is very
much what you want to do to create hits that will turn into sales. Remember to
only use the keywords or phrases that will generate leads or sales. You can pick
and choose, or even alter if the keyword you are using isn’t creating the sales
you are looking for.

Effective Advertising Campaign

An effective advertising campaign is achieved when you choose either Paid
Advertising or Free Advertising with Search Engines, Print or other forms of
advertising campaign.

Advertising is only as effective as the tools you choose to advertise with.

One way to achieve the desired advertising campaign is to decide which type
of advertising will be effective for your website or blog. There are many forms
of advertising that is either free or paid advertising.

Free Advertising Campaign

To achieve free advertising is pretty simple. Frequent forums that allow you
to put your blog or website in the signature of your profile. This is very
powerful in the way that if you word it correctly you will get many hits and
even sales from this. You can also put your links in free advertisements online.
This can be done with Craig’s List and others like that.

If you look up free advertising on Google, you will find many websites that
offer free advertising for you to make an effective campaign with.

I would also see if there are free magazine, print and even radio advertising
campaign that you can sign up for. I am sure there are many websites or even
businesses that would want to trade links with you. All you have to do is search
and ask.

Many blogs or websites have a link exchange program set up that you can put
your link or banner on. All you have to do is place one of theirs on your site
linking back to them.

Paid Advertising Campaign

A paid advertising campaign is just that, you pay to have your website listed
on search engines such as Google and Yahoo. Google is also offering through
their AdWords Website media such as radio advertising and television
advertising. These are key if you have a website address that is easy for the
person to remember. Keep your website address short and sweet and easy for
people to remember.

You can also pay to have your website listed on the top of search engines for
the specific keywords you choose (if you can afford it!) with Google AdWords and
Yahoo. This is simple and straight forward, you pay to have your website in the
search engine and how much you can afford will depend on if you are in the top
ten or not. Remember, it is almost certain that if you are not in the top ten or
even top twenty, your website will not get the traffic you need to turn them
into sales.

Another campaign that you can pay for advertising is finding websites that
are ranked very high and see if they will allow you to put your banner or link
on their site. You can do a search for the specific keywords you are wanting to
use and see who is in the top ten. Then email them and see if they will allow
you to put your banner or link on their site.

I have also use offline advertising such as print. Newspapers are a good
source of traffic that is fairly inexpensive that you can utilize. Just remember
to keep inside your budget and find out how many homes they deliver to. Remember
that not everyone will click your link and get to your website.

Magazines both online and offline are also a good source of paid advertising
traffic. You can find many of them do offer a paid advertising campaign if you
ask them and see how much they charge to play your link or banner on their
website or magazine.

Affiliate Programs for you to Join!

I belong to several affiliate programs that earn money each and every month. They are CJ, PJN and Linkshare.

The amount of money you make each month depends on how busy your blogsite (website or blog) is and how much motivation you have to get the traffic you need to maximize your money!

I would suggest creating a blogsite that people will flock to. Find what keywords people are using to find blogsites on google. This is easy, just join Google AdWords and use their keyword tracking tool to find what people are searching for each month. Then create your site around the keyword phrase so that you will get those hits if you are lucky enough to be in the top ten.

CJ, PJN and Linkshare are the Top Performers that I know of. I have been a member of CJ for a very long time and Linkshare even longer.

Joining them is easy but finding quality merchants could be hard if your site doesn’t look professional. Many merchants have turned me down over the years and I’m not ashamed to admit it. When I first started I had a free website from Geocities and another one on an account I can’t even remember. Don’t give up if you get turned down from the merchant that you wanted to join. Remember that there are many to choose from and someone will let you sell for them.

Affiliate marketing is also the name of the industry where a number of different types of companies and individuals are performing this form of Internet marketing, including affiliate networks, affiliate management companies, and in-house affiliate managers, specialized third party vendors, and various types of affiliates/publishers who promote the products and services of their partners.”

I have worked on both sides of the affiliate marketing and affiliate programs so I know how they work.

To earn the most money, I would suggest finding a merchant, product or service that you are familiar with and sell, sell, SELL.

PJN has a feature called the store builder that you can use to sell the product or service of your choice.

The marketing aspect of Affiliate Marketing is using your blog or website to attract potential customers to see the product and with your help, purchase from the merchant that you are signed up for. You can do this with either using Google’s webadmin and update your site there, or you can purchase hits from a site like Yahoo or Google for a fee. I used to do this and let me tell you it could cost a lot of money to get the hits to your site. Make sure you can afford this, because not ever hit is going to be a sale. You may lose money with this kind of advertising.

Make sure you have a clean and precise website or blog. I know from experience that if a blogsite is messy and not very pleasing to the eye, it’s easy to click right out of there. Try to keep your visitors eyes on the products or services that you are trying to sell. My blogsite is just the way I want it and if you have any suggestions, please let me know.

When you sign up with PJN you will have the opportunity to
use their “Store Builder” on your website or blog! This new feature is
awesome in the fact that you only need one page. I will use an example below. It
has search capabilites, so that your customers can search for and find specific
products or services. I use it on my 404 page and it is pretty effective. Most
of the stores and merchants with PJN use store builder so it will be easy to get
the code and paste it into your website or blog to make money online.

Here is code for Link-Assistant:

You will see that there are numbers on the bottom of the
page. This is so that you can browse all the products, or ones that you choose
from the dashboard, that you want. The customer doesn’t even know that you are
an affiliate yet. This is a powerful tool that you should utilize on your
website or blog.

It is pretty easy to set up and once you have it up and running it looks very
cool and is fully functional.

If you don’t want to use the store builder, but would
rather use a product data feed, you can download it in the store builder
interface on the PJN site. You just click the merchants or services you want to
download and then click on the data feed button. It’s fast and easy. I have used
this method on a number of my websites and it works awesome.

When you go to the PJN interface after the log in, go to the “Generate Links” tab and scroll down to “pepperjamADS”.

After you get the the pepperjamADS page, click on the ” Create New pepperjamADS Program ” link.

A pop-up window should appear ( if you have them turned off, I would turn them on for this site ). The name or SID should be easy to remember and serve as a guide for where to place the ad. I use the 160 x 600 ad in my side bar. So I named it “160×600 Sidebar”.

The description is used to select the more appropriate merchants for the page you want displayed. If you had a blog about gardening, then I would put that here.

You will see three columns. The first column is all your merchants you belong to. The second is all the ads they have for you to use. The third is all the ads you chose to display.

When you go to the first column, click one merchant at a time. Then you will see all of the ads they display in the second column. Don’t click all. Remember to use keywords here. Click one or two that you think would be hit on.

You will see them appear in the third column.

Don’t click anything in the third column at all!

Now, go back to the first column and deselect the box. Uncheck it in other words.

Click on the next merchant you would like to sell for on that page. You will see all of their ads in the second column just like above.

Now, click the ads you want to advertise. They will go to the third column.

Repeat until all the merchants you would like to advertise is done. Don’t click anything in the third column to save !!!!

Now, very important, click the “save pepperjamADS program”.

Now you should see your work saved in the “AD NAME” column on the first page.

Now, click on the “Get Code” link. A new pop-up will appear with the dimensions you would like to advertise.

“Ad Format” is the banner ad dimensions you would like to choose. They are in pixels. I choose the side bar 160 x 600.

The ad color preview will show you what your finished ad will look like. You can change the colors to suit your website and make it blend in.

Once you have it done, you click on the code, copy all of it and paste it into your page.

If you are using the side bar widget in wordpress or the “TEXT” widget you will edit it there.

In your wordpress widgets interface, click on the sidebar or area you want to edit. Then click on the “TEXT” widget. You can name this “PJN Code:” so that you remember what it is for.

Then click on the edit link. It will open the text editor. Paste the ad in there and click “DONE”.

Now, click “Save Changes” and you are done!!!!

You have just created an ad and placed it in your side bar!!!

Yay!

Wasn’t that easy?

Now you can create them and place them where ever you would like on your blog or website. You can use mine as an example.

Blog Website | Using a Blog as a Website?

If you don’t have a website but would like to have something unique, I would
go with wordpress.com and set up an account there. It’s pretty easy and fast to
do. However, you can’t advertise your affiliate programs with them.

I would find a host ( I use sitegenie.com ) that allows you to download the
wordpress.org files and templates so that you can advertise what ever you would
like on your own hosted server.

I have my own server that will be up shortly, I am going to have hundreds of
content rich sites like this one, So look out world !!

Once you have the software downloaded and uploaded to your server it’s easy
to set up with detailed instructions. It took me about 20 minutes to get it the
way I wanted and even faster to find the template that I liked installed.

Why would I rather have a blog instead of a website?

Content! Google loves content. The more of a content rich website you have
the more google will love you.  What better way to get free content than
with visitors commenting on your website. Better yet, what if you made two,
three, four or more people on your website contributors of your blog. That would
give you even more content.

Blogs also ping ( let search engines and blog directories ) so that they know
that your site was updated automatically.

People can also subscribe to your blog. This is a very cool function that
works by emailing the people that subscribe and lets them know that your website
has updated with a new post or page. This will keep people coming back for more.
Just remember to post often. I try to do it at least once per day. I would like
to do more when time is on my side.

When your blog is up and running, come back here and I will help you put
advertising from PJN and Google AdSense on your blog. These two tools work very
effective at making money easier than I have ever seen. Most of the clicks to
PJN turn into sales and the clicks to google turns into pure profit. It’s pretty
easy to set up an AdSense like ad with PJN. I will have an article explaining in
detail how to do it next.

Having a blog is like having a community of people with the same interests
interacting and sharing information. You can use this information to advertise
what these people are probably looking for. Everything from computer memory to
lingerie. PJN has a store or merchant that is right for your site. Please, don’t

bonus. When you get enough people together and sharing ideas, this creates a
content rich and quality website that will shatter your expectations.

When you have a website, I have many, people click on and off fast to get to
the items they are looking for. I rarely have people searching my site to see

post and learn something new and exciting. If they don’t find what they are
looking for, they can become a provider of information and write what they would
like to see on your site. I am working very hard to make this an interactive
project and welcome your comments.
