A life time supply of original movies, dramas, shows and err… “ahem” videos would certainly be great! You want some? I don’t mind sharing. But not “ahem” videos okay? No sharing for that! ;)

Treat No. 5 – Dell Inspiron 13 Laptop (Yeah, like duh…!)

Among the many variety of laptops, I’d say Dell is among the best. I’ve been using Dell throughout my years in university and I must admit that they’re really reliable.

So here’s why the Dell Inspiron 13 is here in my Top 5 Treat List.

First of all, with its high performance and superb multitasking ability, I can connect it with my Yamaha Electronic Drum Set and make music all day long! *Bang Bang Dum Cha Ching!*

And by installing a sophisticated drum set music software, I don’t have to worry about lags and hangs when I connect Dell Inspiron 13 to the drum set and run the high-tech program at the same time! Awesome!

Secondly, I can bring it to Sahara Desert when I visit the place.

Just in case I get lost in the middle of the desert, I know I can rely on Dell Inspiron 13.

It can be my bolster since its smooth round edges and crisp clean lines makes me feel comfy when I hug it while sleeping in the desert. Also, since it’s so smooth, I can imagine myself caressing a girl’s skin. Nice…

Thirdly, when I go sky diving, I can jump together with Dell. Its thin and light design makes it easier to hold it.

And with the in-built webcam, I’d be able to video call with my mum! The great connectivity would allow me to share my real-life experience from 10,000 feet high up in the sky!

And lastly, with the collection of DVDs I have, I can always watch them on Dell. The wide vivid and high-definition display would certainly enhance my video-watching experience!

So at night I always watch “ahem” videos before I go to sleep. Take a look at the video when I play them…

Eh…what?! Why got “square square” wan??!!

Oh I know, I know… I know… DVD problem! Not Dell’s problem.

So that’s it! The presence of a Dell Inspiron 13 would definitely make my other 4 treats more memorable and meaningful! =)

The weird thing about this ‘cape’ is that it looks like a pants when I first unfold it. Maybe it’s suppose to be worn this way?

So that’s the problem – I don’t know how to wear it properly. It’s like a piece of cloth dangling behind me.

Anyway, wearing the graduation robe makes me feel like someone special. It’s like I’m a student of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. I think I can be the main cast in the Harry Potter movies!

Sorry ya, my Hogwarts classmates (especially Hermione and Ron) are not smiling like I do. They’re just a little emo + angry because I’m Dumbledore’s new pet!

Anyway, ever since I’ve finished my days at INTI University College, I’ve been looking forward to the convocation.

It’s on the 13th of November 2009!

I’ve been blogging for more than a year, and I’ve just realized that there’s no “About Me” section till now. So this entry is dedicated to “About Me”. Here goes…

First and foremost, my name is not Ken Wooi and I like to play with Ken.

Many of you don’t know this, but “Ken” is not my self-created English name. Instead, it’s a part of my full name – Wooi Wei Ken. Yeah, I put my last name in front of my surname. So actually, people don’t call me “Ken Wooi” when they see me; it’s either “Ken” or “Wei Ken”.

Anyway, if your name is Yew Hon Fook, do get fookyew.com for your blog okay?

I came to the world in 1988, a Leo, and if my calculation is right, I should be 21 now. Ipoh is my hometown by the way.

As the eldest among the siblings, I was probably the naughtiest one.

Yeah, me and my bad-ass bike! Cool eh?

And my parents used to buy me soft toys. Look, a picture of me and teddy bear.

As big as me. But look at its size now…

Teddy bear has shrunk! Time really flies…

I started kindergarten at St. John’s Kindergarten, Ipoh.

Can’t remember much but there was one embarrassing moment I can recall. I peed in my pants. Oh dear…

On an unrelated note – Mishal, look! You! =)

Upon completing kindergarten, I studied at St. Michael’s Institution, Ipoh during primary and secondary school.

Due to the English-speaking environment, I grew up as a “banana”. I don’t speak Mandarin well and my Cantonese sucks.

I wasn’t a brilliant student, but I was certainly active in the school band. Whenever I talk about school, I always relate my experiences with the Michaelian Military Band. Being in the band gave me many memories, and it’d take entries to re-tell every single detail about it.

I was a Treasurer and a Section Leader back then. And I participated in numerous performances, concerts and competitions.

Being in the band has shaped me into the person I am now. It made me realize that there are other achievements and objectives in life instead of aiming for excellent results in academics.

One thing is for sure, it made my high school life more interesting, and it made me dark like charcoal.

I’m the darkest. Can you spot me?

After completing my SPM (Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia, an examination for Form 5 students) in 2005, I continued my studies at INTI University College in Nilai.

I started with Foundation in Business Information Technology in 2006 and then proceeded to Degree in Software Engineering in 2007. The whole duration took more than 3 years.

Damn I look skinny last time, no tummy you know!

Anyway, it was a whole new environment being in INTI. Besides going to classes, I joined the INTI Concert Band and then got elected as the Treasurer of 12th INTIMA, the university’s Student Council. Yeah, Treasurer again – is it because I’m a trustworthy and honest person? ;)

By the way, I’m already graduated from INTI.

Besides blogging and all, I like to listen to music, only certain genres. I listen when I’m relaxing, but not when I’m doing work. Also, I play wind instruments!

I started playing the Flute in 2001 and then the Soprano Saxophone in 2004, till now. However, my saxophone is collecting dust at the moment because there’s no band to play with.

Besides that, I love traveling. If I have the money, I’d probably go on a world tour. But so far, I’ve only manage to visit certain states and places in Malaysia.

I started blogging in May 2008. The purpose of starting a blog wasn’t defined during the initial stages, but it’s certainly a medium where I share my thoughts and documentaries in life.

Most of my entries are written with a pinch of humour. I believe that laughter is the best medicine – it makes people happy.

You might wonder whether I’m a funny guy in person or not. I can’t give you a definite answer but maybe it’s a little lesser than a pinch?

Anyway, I’m not sure how many people kenwooi.com has reached out to, but I do hope that everyone who reads/follows the blog will enjoy the entries.

The reason why this entry is called Boobs Awareness is because boobs are the reason of the occurrence of breast cancer. Therefore, the existence of boobs is the cause. So we should be aware of the boobs first, right? =)

Now before we move on, let me show you the best WOW-factor we guys see in ladies.

To be honest, the booby pictures make me feel relaxed, and stiff + sweaty at a particular body part of mine (don’t ask where) – except the last picture!

Okay, according to breastcancer.org, Breast cancer is an uncontrolled growth of breast cells and it happens to 1 in 8 women in the United States, which is about 13%. Also, it’s always caused by a genetic abnormality.

And that’s all the information I’m gonna include, I don’t wanna bore you.

Therefore ladies, breast self-exam should be part of your monthly health care routine. And to all guys who are attached, married or cheating, it’s your responsibility to help your partner examine their boobs too.

Both were unexpected tragedy, or accident.

Victim A – Chair 1.

One of its leg came off. Now it’s 3 legged.

After the first chair broke, I sat on another chair. But then the same fate happened to it.

Victim B – Chair 2.

This time it’s even worse – 2 out of the 4 legs broke.

So 2 chairs in the house are not usable anymore.

To seek justice for the chairs, the case must be investigated to find out what are the answer to this inhuman act! Detective Kenwooi can only come up with 2 possible clues.

Clue A – Both the chairs look old.

They were bought a few years ago. Almost all of the family members have rested their butts on them before.

So since they’re old, the probability of them breaking is very high. Are the chairs to be blamed? Maybe.

Reason B – The user got fatter and heavier.

Therefore causing too much pressure on the chairs, and unintentionally broke the chairs? Maybe.

After much thought, I’ve finalized my verdict…

The answer to this case is Reason A – The chairs are OLD!

The user is not fat okay? =)

Fort Cornwallis, a star-shaped structure, was erected at the place where Francis Light landed to take possession of Penang Island.

Today, this historical site is popular among visitors. Once you enter the fort, you’ll first see a rifle and Francis Light’s statue.

Since I’ve never handled a bullet-ed weapon before, I quickly picked up the rifle.

I have a rifle. I’m pointing at you! Don’t mess with me! I SHOOT YOU!

But on second thought…

I’ll shoot the poser Francis Light okay? =)

Anyway, the fort is decorated with many old cannons of different sizes. There is a small canon nearby. Quite small.

Very small, in fact. I think my ‘cannon’ is larger than that!

Fort Cornwallis served more as an administrative centre for the British despite it’s defensive design. Throughout the British colonization, it survived without much attacks from the enemies.

It was once surrounded with a moat, but now it’s surrounded by cars.

At the opposite side of the entrance, there’s a display of an old British canopy model.

Can you imagine yourself living in such environment for years? We’re considered lucky to be living under a roof instead of a cone huh?

This is Kenwood. Trying to cook a tiny wood with invisible fire.

I wonder how they survived back then with all the wars, bombs and guns. If I were living at that time, I think I’ll be the noob-est rifleman. Die on the first battle.

Oh by the way, I spotted another cannon there!

A little bigger than the first one, but still small. Like I said earlier – my ‘cannon’ is larger!

On another side, you’ll see a row history galleries.

In each room, you’ll see artifacts and historical items from the past.

And towards the end of building, there are examples of prison cells used back then.

That’s roughly all the interesting parts in the fort.

So, Fort Cornwallis is a must-visit place if you’re on a trip to Penang Island. It’s located near the Esplanade, not the Singapore’s one okay? Penang’s one!

Oh yeah before I forget, I was saying that my ‘cannon’ is larger right? Wanna know why?

Well, I got both nice and bad ones. Some said I’ll be the next Kenny Sia and some said I’m a Kenny Sia reinvent. Oh wait, I’m not saying that I agree with those statements but those are just feedback that I’ve received. You too might not agree. Nevertheless, they’re very flattering. Thanks.

On the other hand, I’ve received disapproving statements such as “Kenny Sia imitator!” and “Kenny Sia wannabe!”. Even worse “Rot in hell!” and “You’re fukking ugly”. I don’t know what made them feel offended but criticisms are inevitable, right? =)

But hey, IF you think my blogging style is more or less like his, it doesn’t mean I wanna be him okay?

I must admit that I’m a follower of Kenny’s blog. I visit his blog frequently because it’s interesting. Also, his writing style inspires me. I started reading his blog even before I started mine.

Anyway in this entry, I’m just gonna point out a few differences between a famous Malaysian blogger – Kenny Sia and the noob unknown blogger – Ken Wooi.

Basically everything is related to Kenny Sia, his blog and other stuffs. Google knows him too well.

Kenny VS Ken: Round 3 – The blog.

kennysia.com is blue and white and it generates up to 14, 000 unique visitors a day.

kenwooi.com is totally orange and it generates about 200 unique visitors a day. So pathetic if compared to kennysia.com right?

So many people love Kenny – that they proudly announce that they’re stalking Kenny.

Besides, Kenny Sia is so popular that he’s now being treated like a celebrity. Almost everyone will go crazy when they see him. Even I hope to meet him one day too!

Also he is not a party person. Ken used to stay in his hostel room reading his JAVA books. What a noob.

Okay I lied – I don’t read JAVA books always. But the thing is, I don’t go out to parties and flash my ‘bush’ to everyone.

Just like what Kenny did during the Nuffnang and Tiger StandOut Party. He’s daring and hilarious. That’s why it’s impossible for me to wanna-be like him. If I do, I’d probably flashed my ‘bush’ too. But I won’t.

Kenny VS Ken: Round 5 – The sponsors & advertorials.

I’m gonna say this – kennysia.com is frequently publishing entries with advertisements. Therefore he’s earning a lot. Also, Kenny has sponsors paying for his trips to other countries. What a lucky guy.

He even got to act in an advertisement!

So far, kenwooi.com has only one advertisement – which is the McDonald’s “Have You McValue Lunch-ed This Week?” entry. And no, Ken wasn’t paid a single cent. Instead, he paid McDonald’s for all the 4 McValue Lunch meals!

Kenny VS Ken: Round 6 – The bird.

As mentioned earlier by Kenny himself, he claims that he has a big bird.

Well, unfortunately for Ken, he has a tiny bird.

And a very shy one too. See it’s hiding…

First of all, kenwooi.com was down over the weekend. Here’s why.

Hacked: kenwooi.com’s webhost was hacked on Saturday. When I accessed my blog, an unfamiliar page appeared instead of the usual orange one.

It was a black page with Arabian words and song. The page was somewhat like this…

Okay, it’s not the real one but you get my point right? Too bad I didn’t print-screen it, but my version is much nicer! I e-mailed the admin and went to work.

Then, I came back home in the evening…

Disconnected: The Internet connection at home wasn’t working. The router wasn’t connecting to the Internet. I can’t do a single thing. Hence, the blog remained down.

With nothing much to do, I watched Iron Man and 300 on the laptop. I watched both already but it’s always nice to re-watch. Iron Man is cool! And 300 is awesome except for the…

300 Sex Scene: Did you know there’s a s3x scene in 300!? So unrelated right? Since it’s a chop-here chop-there blood-spilling-everywhere movie, how come got that!?

I think it was removed in the cinemas but in the un-cut downloaded version, King Leonidas and his Queen got horny and… you know lah… *ahem*

And you know what? My 13 years old brother was watching it too! It became so awkward that I had to do this…

I covered the “prohibited body parts” from being seen! I’m such a good boy. ;)

On Monday, the router was fixed. Internet was available again and I was hoping the webhost is up again, but it wasn’t. So I changed webhost…

Migrated: kenwooi.com has moved to another webhost. Previously I was using clandrive.com, but it’s still down since it was hacked. Now it’s kodohost.com. Hopefully it doesn’t give me any trouble again.

Fortunately I have automatic backup, all the data are here – except for 2/3 of the comments on Mysterious Face at Penang Hill. Nevermind lah…

It’s not far away from George Town, and the station to get to the top is located at Air Itam.

Honestly, I was amazed by the method used to get to the peak – by using a tram, or train.

A one-way journey takes around 30 minutes, with a stop in the middle.

The unique feature of this mode of transportation is that it runs on a railway, they call it a funicular railway, through the jungle of the hill.

The tram is controlled by a tram diver. So many buttons that I wish to play around with it.

At two points of the journey, the railway splits, for both trams, one going up and another one going down, to pass by each other. I guess building 2 railways for both directions was a difficult task, considering that it’s located deep in the jungle.

Being myself, I was snapping pictures all along the way. So here’s the weird mysterious face part – I came back home, transferred the photos to my Macbook and when I was viewing this particular photo, iPhoto detected a face on it.

With a glance, can you see a face there?

If it wasn’t because of iPhoto’s automatic face detection, I’d say that it’s just a railway track. But look carefully on the left.

See that?! Wah, that kinda freaked me out you know?!

Yes yes, you might say that it’s someone’s reflection – maybe the person beside me or the driver. But no, a white man was beside me and the driver has little hair. The face looks more like an emo tanned-skin guy.

Can see or not? Can?

Anyway, back to Penang Hill.

As we reach the peak, there’s a tunnel. Once the tram goes in it, it’ll be pitch black! Careful, maybe an emo guy will appear beside you. =P

Once you’re up there, you can feel the cool atmosphere. Very nice you know, almost like Genting Highlands.

Penang Hill is located about 800 meters above sea level.

Here’s what I saw when I was at the top of Penang Hill. In fact, you can witness a panoramic view of George Town.

The famous Penang Bridge can be seen too.

At the top of the hill, there are restaurants, guest houses, hotels and souvenir booths. The old tram used during the earlier railway operations are being displayed too. It’s made of wood.

Last but not least, you can also see the mainland. Wonderful isn’t it?

Oh yeah, another attraction at Penang Hill is the Canopy Walk, where you walk along a route hanged up in the air. You get what I mean? Usually you see that in Amazing Race, but this one nobody is gonna shout at you “Faster Faster Damnit Faster!” when you’re there. You can take your time admiring the jungle.

But unfortunately it was closed when I visited. Good also lah… I think I’m afraid of heights. =P

This is the new Foh San building, located in the middle of Ipoh town. They recently moved to this place to accommodate more customers, as the previous one was lacking space.

It opens very early in the morning and it’s usually packed throughout the business hours, especially on weekends. Some customers might need to share table with others.

The building consists of 2 floors. This is the view at the top floor.

And this is the ground floor.

As you can see, most of the tables are occupied. It’s very spacious but due to the high number of customers, it seems packed.

The waiter and waitresses will be pushing their trolleys from table to table and you pick the ones that you want. Alternatively, you can go to the food counter too.

Foh San is quite famous – people out of Perak would wake up early in morning and drive all the way to Ipoh to have dim sum. Thankfully I’m living in Ipoh – it’s just about 15 minutes drive from home.

One of my favourite drinks is the chrysanthemum tea.

Besides the usual dim sums, you’ll have other type of food served.

There are many types of paos (buns), char siew (barbecued pork) pao, kaya pao, kai yuk (chicken meat) pao and lots more of other paos.

They also have chee cheong fun, with prawn or char siew.

And fried LIUs and yam, with mayonnaise.

If you’ve been following my blog long enough, you’ll know that I love “LIU”s so much! Crunchy and yummy! The one I had in Foh San is simply delicious, together with mayonnaise of course!

So if you’re visiting Ipoh, don’t miss out Foh San! =)

It was one of the best things that happened in my life. A Macbook – WOW! Cool.. Awesome.. Great.. Wonderful.. Bla blaaa blaaaaa..

It’s just a Macbook because previously the Macbook Pros were only available with 15-inch and 17-inch, and they cost more.

So I opted for a 13-inch Aluminum Macbook, with no “Pro”.

But a few weeks later, Apple came out with a new line of Macbooks and the 13-inch Macbook Aluminum has been upgraded with the “PRO” status.

Damn, if I’ve waited longer, my Macbook could have been a “Pro” Macbook. And it became cheaper too! Sighs…

Well, not bad huh? Seems “Pro” enough.

Anyway, the same thing happened to Apple’s iPhone too.

When Apple released its first iPhone 3G, everyone got so excited and they made purchases like there’s no tomorrow.

But unfortunately, after a while, Apple released its 2nd version of iPhone – the iPhone 3GS.

I bet many iPhone 3G users would be furious too. Most of them will go… *read the words along with the pictures*

The castle belonged to the late William Kellie Smith. It’s located rather out of place – in his rubber plantation, in Batu Gajah along Gopeng Road.

It has 14 rooms and a tall tower, tall enough to have a panoramic view of Ipoh town. Okay that phrase is from the brochure – I was up at the highest floor and saw nothing close to Ipoh town. More like a jungle out there.

The design displayed many Islamic architectural features.

If it had been completed, the castle would have been the first building in Malaysia to have the first imported lift.

Skilled artisans and construction workers were imported from India to work on this project. However, it was delayed due to an epidemic that hit the workers.

The construction then halted in 1926 when William Kellie Smith died in Lisbon.

His wife, Agnes Smith relinquished all her interest and the plantations were managed by several local companies.

The unfinished castle was therefore abandoned.

Right behind the castle was Kellie’s first house named as “Kellas House”. It was built in 1905 where he stayed with his family, before deciding to build a castle in front.

The house was partially destroyed during the World War 2. But it’s more of a preserved wreck now.

Although Kellie’s Castle has been there over the years, much of the structure is still intact.

The amazing thing about this castle is that Kellie planned to build an indoor tennis court and a rooftop courtyard for parties. The tower’s rooftop is damn high you know – I was kinda nervous when I was up there.

Anyway, some local said that the spirits of William Kellie, or a little girl that resembles his daughter, still wanders along the corridors.

This is the so-called “haunted corridor”. Boo!

As you walk inside the castle, you’ll see signs exclaiming “No Obscene Act” and “No vandalism”. However, some visitors tend to be a little over expressive during their visit.

So yeah, may Kellie haunt bless you two, Deanna and Dennis.

Here are some typical law firm sign boards that we usually bump into.

I noticed that the law firms’ name are always the name of the owners – normally added with “& Co” or “& Associates”.

And usually law firms owned by a Chinese will contain the lawyer’s full name.

It got me thinking – why must put their own name as the firm’s name?

Yeah I know it’s because of a partnership or some rules and regulations they have to follow when forming a law firm company.

But how cool would it be if they’re allowed to name their company with any name. For example…

Since we have some self-proclaimed “Probloggers”, why can’t the lawyers do the same? The “& Gang” sounds totally cooler right?

And since there are a lot of suing, what about this…

Triple Sue & Associates. Just sue it!

Oh yeah, you sue they settle. Sounds more professional right? ;)

Anyway, I hope I don’t get sued by writing this entry!
