Heinrich Rudolf Hertz's 155th Birthday

The Google logo takes the form of electromagnetic waves (in Google colours - blue, red, yellow and green) to pay tribute to German physicist Heinrich Rudolf Hertz on his 155th birth anniversary. Hertz was born at Hamburg on February 22, 1857.

Hertz was the first to broadcast and receive radio waves. His pioneering work laid the way for the development of radio, television and radar.

The unit of frequency of a radio wave - one cycle per second - is named the hertz, in honour of Heinrich Hertz.

Hertz proved the existence of radio waves in the late 1880s. He used two rods to serve as a receiver and a spark gap as the receiving antennae. Where the waves were picked up, a spark would jump. Hertz showed in his experiments that these signals possessed all of the properties of electromagnetic waves.

With this oscillator, Hertz solved two problems. First, timing English scientis James Clerk Maxwell's waves. He had demonstrated, in the concrete, what Maxwell had only theorised - that the velocity of radio waves was equal to the velocity of light. (This proved that radio waves were a form of light).

Second, Hertz found out how to make the electric and magnetic fields detach themselves from wires and go free as Maxwell's waves.

Hertz died at the young age of 36 on New Year's Day 1894. There is a lunar crater on the dark side of the Moon named after him.

Unlike recent Google doodles that used complex JavaScript for animated doodles, the Hertz Google doodle is a relatively simpler animated GIF image.

Google has, till the Hertz doodle, posted 1308 doodles on its home page since the first ever Google doodle back on August 30, 1998.

If you observe carefully the above picture, that's the way Google treats its employees. Google really wanted to provide a comfortable working atmosphere and fun. Google principle: employees will be all out if the company was treating them with a very decent.

For example, in photo number 2 & 3, it is the atmosphere in the Google cafeteria. There employees are free to take food and drinks are provided and the type is very diverse (all you can eat anyway). Games center is also available. There are also slides from the second floor to first floor, and many others.

Employees feel saturated? There is no term in the Google employee 'dictionary'!

In the previous post, I discussed about how to overcome the error in the blogger template with a message like this: Widget IDS should be unique. Now, I will discuss how to fix the error in the Blogger template with a different error message. When you edit the template, maybe you will find error messages like this.

Your template could not be parsed as it is not well-formed. Please make sure all XML elements are closed properly.
XML error message: The element type "font" must be terminated by the matching end-tag "".

How to troubleshoot problem above is easy. The solutions, you must putting end-tag in your code.

Many people who have Yahoo! Messenger more than 1, and if we log in to Yahoo! Messenger on a computer, we can not log in with another account on the same computer. If you try to log in to Yahoo! Messenger at the same time, then you will log out the account of others. In conclusion, you can only log in with an account on one computer at the same time.

Hmm, whether we can not log in to Yahoo! Messenger with many accounts on one computer and at the same time? The answer is: Can. To find out how, follow the steps below.

Click Start menu that located in the bottom left corner of the monitor.
Click Run....
Type regedit. Then click OK.
Find HKEY_CURRENT_USER.
Once found, open the following options: HKEY_CURRENT_USER -> Software -> Yahoo -> Pager -> Test.
Right-click on the folder Test. Then select New and click DWORD Value.
Change the New Value#1 to be Plural.
Right-click on Plural and click Modify.
Change Value Data amount become 1. On the Base option, select Decimal. Then click OK.
Done. Now you can close the Registry Editor window.

Now you try to log in to Yahoo! Messenger with one account and log in on the account of others. Guaranteed it will be successful and you can log in with two accounts. Ok, I think this enough. Enjoy chatting with the many accounts!

Insert Mini Icon at Label

You can insert labels in the icon on our blog, so it looks more sweet and more interesting. But this can only be used on the new template. To insert the icon on the label, you must have a small image that has been Uploaded to the hosting. For example, this is the URL of my image.

To show it through HTML code, we add the HTML code to the URL, so it becomes like this.

So that the image appears on the label, follow the steps below.

Log in to Blogger.
Go to Layout.
Click Edit HTML.
Backup your template. Click Download Full Template.
After backup, find similar code as below.

If you have found, paste the HTML code of your icon as below.

How to Set the Number of Posts Shown On The Main Page

In blogging, will be better if we set the number of posts that will be displayed on the main page. The purpose of the Set Number of posts is to add / reduce the number of articles displayed on the main page. If the post is displayed on the main page very much, will make our blog's home page to load more weight. Therefore, it is important to set the number of posts that will be displayed on the main page. If the number of posts displayed on the main page too much, we should reduce the amount.

To set the number of posts displayed on the main page, we can do so easily. No need to edit the template. If you want to know about it, please follow the steps below.

Log in to Blogger/Blogspot.
Go to Settings.
After the Settings page opens, click on Formatting.
See on the View option. In the dropdown menu, select the Posts. Dropdown menu on the left there is a small box. Fill the box with the number of posts you want displayed on the main page. If you want to show the last post on the main page is 6, type number 6 on the box.
Click Save Settings button.
Finished.

Now, open your blog. You will see the number of posts on the main blog page you changed. Ok, nice work!

Make Post Summary (Read More) At Classic Template

In the previous article, I explain how to create a post summary on the new template. Now, I will explain to you about how to create a post summary (Read More) in the classic template. If you blog using a classic template, I think you need to follow the tutorial in this article.

Log in to Blogger -> Layout -> Edit HTML.
Paste this code above the code </style>.

I have been explaining how to create a summary post (Read More). On the main page, posts that are displayed are only summarized, and then to read it fully, we must click on the Read More link.

Hmm, now I explain to you how to create a summary post / Read More link that when clicked, then the articles will be displayed in full on the new page. So, we do not need to close the our main page blog. If you want to make it, please follow the steps below.

Login to Blogger.
Go to Layout --> Edit HTML --> and give checklist in Expand Template Widget.
If you are installing Read More Version 1, you can continue, but if you have not installed Read More version 2, see this article first.
Find this code:

Add code target="_blank"
between <a expr:href='data:post.url' and >Read More...... </a>. So that the code be like this:
