Kate Bosworth flags down a cab outside of her hotel in New York City on Tuesday afternoon (February 9).

The 27-year-old blonde beauty recently attended a dinner party with True Blood star Alexander Skarsgard on the tented patio of West Hollywood’s Chateau Marmont. People reports she “got up to talk to him and had her arm around his neck, and even snuck him a kiss on the lips. Eventually sitting next to each other, they were even more affectionate, rubbing each other’s backs and sharing kisses.”

Kate is a big supporter of Rag & Bone — it’s likely she’ll attend Friday’s show during NY Fashion Week.

Spring Awakening , a musical set in the late 19th century that depicts teenagers discovering their sexualities, took home eight Tony Awards in 2007.

“This work really requires people who have got enough perspective and distance on their adolescence, and enough maturity to be able to interpret it,” Cate told The Australian.

“Usually when Spring Awakening is performed it’s done by people in their late 20s,” she continued. “But we’ve deliberately sought — and found — younger people who are able to do it. It’s really quite raw and confronting.”

JJ: Could you tell us about your character, Nate?

KP: He goes by the name of Nate, he owns a bar that he lives above and he sort of is a ne’er-do-well who refuses to grow up, I suppose, until he is confronted with his 15-year-old daughter who he had with own Portland’s own Cate Cassidy and he sort of, without a moment of hesitation, decides to try to be a father figure to this kid and hijinks ensue. Hijinks and high drama!

JJ: What’s your favorite prop from the set?

KP: (laughs) The prop that’s gotten the most use and that we’ve talked about the most is a bong lamp - it’s a lamp that my character had as a college student, let’s say, and then they turned it into a lamp. He gifts it to Lux and you’ll see it in the episode as it unfolds - but I would have to say that that’s probably my favorite prop!

JJ: So we’ll see it again after she’s sold it?

KP: Yes, you’ll see it again!

JJ: What’s been your favorite moment with co-star Brittany Robertson, on or off-set?

KP: Well, I call Brittany The Wonder Kid ’cause she’s 19 years old, she’s a young lady and she’s got this really wonderfully old soul. She’s wise beyond her years. There’s a lot of kids in Hollywood and they’ve either been spoiled by the business or jaded by the business, and she’s neither. She’s got this really great work ethic, so every scene I have with her is always a pleasure to do. We have a great off-set relationship. I wrote a little song as Baze for Lux, so for Brittany as Lux. I wrote this song and then it went to a friend of mine who could actually produce it and we laid down the piano tracks, then my voice. I played it for her and she flipped out, so that was fun!

JJ: Very cute. Being on this show, does that mean you won’t return to Mad Men?

KP: They brought me on every year for an episode or two episodes a season and my character’s always made little tiny appearances. So depending on when we start back up, Carlton might make a little comeback! But it’s never a definite thing.

JJ: If you could have any guest star, who would be the best fit?

KP: That’s a really tough question, Jared - I’ve never given it any thought! Okay, give me a category…like as Lux’s friend or a counterpart for me?

JJ: Someone who would change up the chemistry of the cast.

KP: Someone to shake things up? Oh man - I’m sure it’d be an actress. So say the show goes, right? And everyone’s rooting for Cate and Baze and then Cate and Ryan make a comeback and just as Baze is out of the picture, Cate starts to find Baze attractive again and that relationship takes off. Then another woman would have to come into the picture and sort of take Baze away from Cate.

JJ: And who would this woman be?

KP: It’d have to be Emily Blunt! She’s cute and British.

JJ: Two of your costars have been CW/WB shows - Shiri Appleby was on Roswell and Kerr Smith was on Dawson’s Creek. Have you seen those?

KP: Yeah, I’ve seen Dawson’s Creek! My wife actually really loved the show so I’ve probably seen the last two seasons of that and then I was actually a guest on Roswell at one point! Shiri and I never shared screen time together, but I’ve actually worked on that show.

JJ: Do you have any nicknames?

KP: Some friends call me K-Po but a lot of people just call me Kris.

A new episode of Life Unexpected called “Turtle Undefeated” airs next Monday (February 15) @ 9PM ET/PT on The CW.

Jessica recently sat down with MTV and talked about her views on dating dos and don’ts. “Absolutely pick it up,” she said about paying for the check at a dinner out. “Pick it up. Hopefully she offers, but that’s just a gesture. You should pick it up.”

Beyonce shoots a guest spot in Alicia Keys’ new music video “Put It In a Love Song” in the Morro da Conceicao slum of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on Tuesday (February 9).

Beyonce is also rumored to star in the remake of the classic A Star Is Born. Russell Crowe may play the aging, alcoholic musician who mentors and falls in love with Beyonce’s character.

Skater Nancy Kerrigan’s father, Daniel Kerrigan, who passed away late last month, will have his death treated as a homicide, investigators say.

The Middlesex, Mass. D.A.’s office released a statement today saying, “The Medical Examiner determined that the cause of death was cardiac dysrhytmia following a physical altercation with neck compression causing injury to the neck in the form of a cartilage fracture to the larynx area, in a person with hypertensive and atherosclerotic cardiovascular heart disease” (via People).

Early reports indicated that Daniel, 70, and his son, Mark, 45, had an altercation over using the phone. Mark was charged with assault and battery in late January.

Nancy’s mother, Brenda, said last month that her husband died of a heart attack and that she didn’t think anything suspicious had happened.

Our deepest condolences go out to Nancy and her loved ones.

Katherine Heigl is attached to star in One for the Money, based on the Janet Evanovich novel of the same name.

The film would star Katherine as Stephanie Plum, a jobless lingerie buyer who becomes a bounty hunter to pay the bills.

The Plum series currently consists of 15 novels, with a 16th being released this summer.

According to Variety, the project has been in limbo for several years, with Reese Witherspoon originally attached to star.

Jack Bauer will take on baddies on the big screen in a 24 movie, according to reports.

Twentieth Century Fox’s TV and film studios have hired writer Billy Ray (who also wrote State of Play) to write a script for the feature film version of the popular TV show.

According to Variety, the idea Billy pitched has Jack Bauer headed to Europe!

Kiefer Sutherland is said to be “eager” to turn the show into a film.

There isn’t a deal yet for a ninth season of the show - Variety insiders say that it’s likely that this season will be last unless ratings shoot upward.

Jen recently spoke to Access Hollywood about her Bounty Hunter co-star. “We just had so much fun together you know. He’s just fun. Gerry’s the most unpretentious guy,” she said.

“He’s a guys guy, but he’s absolutely the most lovely and sort of self-deprecating and just what you see is what you get. We look at work the same way…we always had each other’s back.”

Kate Gosselin will be releasing her third book I Just Want You to Know: Letter to My Kids on Love, Faith and Family on April 13.

According to People, the book will feature entries from her personal journal, eight letters written to each of her kids, and prayers of encouragement.

“In addition to making sure my kids know how much I love them,” Kate says on the official website by Zondervan Publishing. “I’m writing this book to encourage other mothers. Being a mother is the most tiring job you will ever have, and it’s the most worthwhile job. I want to inspire moms to create the memories and traditions that will provide their kids with a good foundation. ‘Moms, don’t ever stop doing your best.
