The best thing about Daughtry’s style is that they do not overdue the use of both composition and musical drive. As seen in the first track, the message is thrown as if it was just spoken to you but the effect given by the music still manages to emphasize the message. This positive point is evident on all tracks. It goes to show that the album is an effective rock album.

Most of the tracks are somehow monotonous. No surprise is such a typical Daughtry song, making it uninteresting. The fast transition of the chorus of “What I Mean to Say” is an off to the track especially that the bass is already at its high level presence from that point. “Ghost of Me” isolates itself from the other tracks a little bit thou it contains a good combination of the rhythm and the melody. Therefore, the album lacks coherence.

“September” is a ballad song that attempts to do unique music. Still, they never avoid the usual rhythm they do. This is same with “Open Up Your Eyes” but is a better one. “Life After You”’s instruments added harmony to the track, making itself more distinct.

“Tennessee Line” breaks the pattern. The presence of alternative rock in the track parallelizes itself to the poetry of the song.

Knowing that the album was actually a post-grunge in genre, it was quite disappointing. Daughty would have did it well if they did a better battle plan for the album.

Let us pay tribute to the man who made music more appreciative thru both trademark vocals and dance moves, who inspired the uprising of artists that followed him like Lady Gaga and Justin Timberlake...the man who despite the controversies still manages to do his thing with confidence.

The death of the legendary Michael Jackson this June 2009 does not mean the death of his music.

The bestselling album of all time, "Thriller" has been re-released MJ's 25th anniversary in the music industry, showing that his music is always expected to be something the audience would always want to listen to. It contains tracks that are re-recorded with guest stars of the generation like Fergie and Akon.

The Orginals...

"Wanna Be Startin' Somethin'" is a long track but the fun never fades as it plays. MJ hits those high notes with impact as heard in "Baby Be Mine". A very sweetly expressed track "The Girl Is Mine" is such a perfect track making someone believe on the love one (or two) expresses: from lyrics to performance to musical arrangement, who would dare to tolerate the smile it causes. "Thriller", the multi Grammy award winning track definitely deserves those trophies. It gives the freaky effect on a listener through the sound effects, musical arrangement, the remarkable chords of the first notes of the chorus and of course, MJ's way of singing; the "uh"'s is effective. "Beat It" never lets anyone sleep or just stare at one place. This track is so influential. "Billie Jean"'s strength would have been its melody. Its sound is noteworthy. "Human Nature" is another sweet album but is a little dull because of the music pattern it follows: somehow monotnous and too repetitious. "PYT" is a little complicated to undertsand because of the lyrical construction. Even the chorus is not that remarkable, but its melody and harmnony are well applied. "The Lady In My Life" is comprehensible.

The Remakes...

MJ and Will.I.Am's tandem is somehow odd but is cured in the track "The Girl Is Mine". That is complemented to MJ's versatility. Will.I.Am's presence makes the track striking but less romantic. "Pretty Young Thing" seems to have a better musical arrangement than the original. but it does not beat the original performance. Akon and MJ's collaboration in "Wanna Be Startin' Somethin'" is such an alluring idea. They both has this unique voice and them combined in one song is amazingly such a delightful music. Fergie and Michael's combination in "Beat It" shows their ibcompatibility in performing. Fergie fails to collaborate with Michael's voice; it's either she's overpowered or the other way. The new "Billie Jean"should not have been slowed down. It sounded so efforty. Also, did Li'l Wayne sang? "For All Time" already shows the later times of Michael Jackson but his voice is more expressive on the mild genre.

The King of Pop is gone, but not his memories.

No wonder Demi and the Jo Bro have the same recording company. Her music seems to be the female version of the Jonas Brothers.

It is very evident in the first track "La La Land", from composition to vocal expression and diction. She does it well in the second track "Get Back". This shows that her forte is on the heavier teen rock."Trainwreck" is a milder rock which makes it a duller song for Demi. Again, this album shows that she's one of those singers who uses a lot of shallow symbolic lyrics such as in the track "Party". Disney composers really intend to make the lyrics easy to understand for teens; this reason is forgivable. Demi and the Jonas Brothers' use of heavy rock vocals are so exaggerated on the first choruses but the performance as the track ends becomes harmonical with the help of the input of extra instruments like violins and heavy drums. "Don't Forget" contains a poor lyrical and musical plot construction but is hid by Demi's appropriate vocal shifts. Still, it sounds a little odd. "Gonna Get Caught" contains absurd spoken words on the bridge but it is a quality record because of the excellent balance of the instruments and the vocals. "Two Worlds Collide" also shows that Demi is could be suitable for the next generation of singers that are isolated from the teen stars she usually collaborates with. It is maturely sang, meaning it already leaves the "teen effect", reminding people of Ashley Tisdale's recent album "Guilty Pleasure". "The Middle" also supports it. She's old and looks old to "a star of the teens". "Until You're Mine" has a very good start, but the drums in the chorus is disappointing. Polish the drums in that part and the track is perfect for her. "Behind Enemy Lines" is cute, but she's still better for the power rock and power pop. "Lo Que Soy" seems to be a better one than its original "This Is Me". She sings it more expressive and more power, again removing the "teen effect". It is not such a good finale album but it sets the dramtic flow of the arrangement of the tracks into an ideal plot: from fun to getting serious.

The album possess a good and planned arrangement. That would be expected because this is already the Deluxe Edition, meaning a polished and special version of the standard one.

Who would not know Stevie Wonder? Perhaps that person would come from the later generations or people who are definitely not caring about music. This blind musician amazingly captures the hearts of many through his talent...through his music. Here are one of his albums, released in 2005, that is sure quality music.

This is such a perfect album for relaxing at home or just simply..an album to appreciate the genre of R&B with such a melodical and harmonical feeling. The amazingly appropriate use of several instruments makes each track belong to the remarkable music of the living legend, Stevie Wonder, supported by guest musicians and artists."From the Bottom of My Heart" show how he makes anyone feel the love that the track expresses. Much of his ad libs make the tracks very dramatic.The arrangement of beats as heard in "Please Don't Hurt My Baby" suits Stevie Wonder's vocal power in performing fast songs.In "How Will I Know", the combination of Aisha Morris and Stevie Wonder makes up a dashing r&b duet. The track is so soothing, so affective. "My Love Is On Fire" somehow lacks the energy of the album. That would be because of the lowness of its octave since Stevie Wonder's strength is on the high notes of songs. "Passionate Raindrops" has an excellent music arrangement and composition. It seems to follow a musical plot that makes the track so good to hear and is not tiring to listen too. "Positivity" agrees to its title. Its lyrics are expressive, perfectly showing the fun within freedom of the mind and of speech. The final track, "A Time To Love", shows the best of this album.

The album lacks the sense of organization but it is not such a big deal. Nevertheless, Stevie Wonder still has the charisma that makes anybody appreciate his music.

Because of the great demand of Jonas Brothers fans worldwide for their frequent exposure, the Jonas Brothers deserve to produce albums as often as possible. They've released "Lines, Vines, and Trying Times" album on June 2009.

The first track seems to be a bad introduction of the album. There is something lacking, probably in the stressing of the diction corresponding to the expected mood of the track entitled "World War III". The next track, "Paranoid", has a completely excellent recording;from effects to modulation to diction....definitely a quality track, but the screaming attmept is somehow disturbing."Poison Ivy"' intro bass makes the song have the "LSS" effect since it already does the melody of the chorus.Though, its last and spoken words are absurd and ridiculous. "Hey Baby" contains an inappropriately inputted effect in its refrain, yet the group's performance was well done. In "Before the Storm", Miley did not seem to help the track. They lacked a sense of cooperation with each other. Experimenting genres is always a good thing for them as seen in the track "What Did I Do To Your Heart". It reminds one of their previous album's track "Love Bug". "Much Better" supports my perception of the Jonas Brothers being more compatible to a milder genre. "Black Keys" make me conclude their better for a milder genre. They really are for the teens. In "Don't Charge Me for the Crime", it was a stupid idea to combine Common and the Jo Bro. Imagine a dark and mature genred artist plus teeny artists. "Turn Right" now shows the brightness of the three boys as stars. It is an awesome track, emphasizing Joe Jonas oozing voice which was well performed complementing the track. They were able to show a dramatic.

The album's use of symbolic lyrics does not sound professional as the composer wants it to be. It seems to be inappropriate for the genre, thus the album should have been better with the use of bold and direct lyrics. Somehow, the trio sounded so "efforty" as if they were having a hard time doing it. They lacked the sense of graced which was very evident in their previous album. The randomness of the album became a positive effect as it makes the album be more focused on the talent of the trio for the listeners.

Avril Lavigne's comeback album received a lot of expectations even before it was released. Now that's it out in stores worldwide, it brought Avril's fame back to what it was before. The album "The Best Damn Thing" was released in April 2007.

The album's first track, "Girlfriend" seems to start the heat the album attempts to give. The track is simply fun and entertain. "I Can Do Better" proves the title ironic because of the bad transition of the first track and that track. The track was really more of a teeny pop track that is far away from the maturity of the first track. "The Best Damn Thing" track's background melody is cute and appealing but its bridges makes the track indifferent from the bridge stiles of the other tracks. The dramatic mood of "When You're Gone" becomes the strength of the track. It was well emphasized through the opera instruments used and Avril Lavigne's proper control of modulation and diction. "Everything Back But You" contains a simple yet expressive lyrical content but the beat is inappropriate applied. "Hot" also contains an expressive, creative and narrative lyrical structure making it organized and easily understandable. "Innocence" has a bad entrance of the verses. It was sudden and distracting. The final track, "Keep Holding On", sets the balanced appeal of the entire album. It is such an example of a good finale of an album.

The construction of the songs were relatively fine but were were not that good for Avril Lavigne. It seems like Avril Lavigne could have shown more if the songs given were more challenging, as challenging as "Keep Holding On". Because of this, the energy of the album fades away. Factors that somehow make the album a quality album are the impressive talent of the band, the clean recording and modulation of song parts, and the tracks contained less ballads. Also, Avril Lavigne's way of singing makes each track remarkable and enthusiastic to listen and sing along. This made several of the tracks of this album hit and top the charts.

This album possesses a very debonair first track. "When I Grow Up" shows the usual impact of the group, giving that sexy and tough feeling for the listeners especially for the girls. From this track, this makes the listener expect much from the album.

Sadly, the expectation becomes disappointing. This album contains a lot of tracks that did not meet the quality of "When I Grow Up" and "I Hate This Part". Each time the track changes, I always utter the word "absurd". Besides a lot of die-hard special introductions of tracks that sound really uncanny, the compositions were lackluster. Some were even senseless. The very common words or phrases that could be found in a song were very numerous in the tracks. This album seems to be effortlessly made and unorganized. It seemed to be an album of random reject recordings of the girl group, an album of 1990's songs released today.

Who wouldn't notice the domination in the album besides the title? This album should be entitled "Nicole Domination". Obviously, she sang almost all the parts of the song. Melody becomes the one to sing the ad-libs and the other were just there to do the second vocals or just cameos.

To make this criticism a little kinder, inviting featured artists somehow contributed to the attractiveness of the album. Undeniably, "I Hate This Part" was such an appealing performance by the group. "Out Of This Club" showed the group's good compatibility with club music but had a very poor lyrical content. It was such a good track, probably with the help of Polow da Don. This gives the probable reason of the big flaw of the album to be blamed on the producer. "Hush Hush" is also a good track but Nicole does not seem to fit in with the ballad. "I'm Done" finishes the album dramatically. The clarity and balance of the recordings are acceptable. The high number of tracks reduced the excitement in the album.

The hideousness of the album resulted to two versions of the album. Doll Domination 2.0 which already features the song "Jai Ho! (You Are My Destiny) and Doll Domination 2.0: The Mini Collection".

Akon indeed is one of the most unique-voiced artists these times. His voice is very compatible to synth-layed music; club music, R&B and synthpop. Knowing that he owns the company producer for this album, he definitely zests the environment with his presence. This album shows much of Akon’s soothing way of singing that makes each track in this album easy to listen and sing-a-long. He is undeniably unique. The uncomplicated beats of each track connects the listener and Akon’s music, and the frequent use of third-person identifiers “we” and “us” is also a factor in creating a bond between Akon’s music and the listener. Featuring several artists in this album serves a mark of Akon’s congruence to the long known hitmakers of the late 90’s and early 2000’s.

From the first track, the album attempts to give an affective impact by putting a semi-dramatic entrance on “Right Now (Na Na Na)”, however the impact seems to fade because of following tracks that possess the same instrumental melody. Rearranging the tracks would hide the melodically similar tracks. Adding the Konvict Muzik trademark music effects somehow hid that indifference.

Composition was not of a deep type since the main ingredient used to make the tracks entertaining is how Akon is having fun performing, which reduced the fascination any album would aim to have. Compiling the tracks for this album may not produce such impact than his previous album because of this album’s milder and simpler theme of love and heartbreak making the album a bit monotonous which was then interrupted by the track “Birthmark” because of the track’s intention to express sincerity supported by the suave beat. Lastly, the final track "Freedom" becomes a pleasing finale track for the album as it expresses a positive aura both about the hope for freedom and about the listener tuning in to the entire album. It makes a remarking ending for the album.

Tracks with too long introduction would have either of these two effects: the listener would be more curious about the track, or the listener will stop listening to the track because he is already irritated. This album possesses this introductory track and it's effect is the second one. The reason for this is because of the amazingly awesome tandem of the drums and guitars/bass. Metallica's undying impact to rock fans always becomes such a good factor in every album they do. This 2008 album does not show any flaw on the band's performance making the band unquestionably excellent. The concept of the album is somehow oddly explained:

Death Magnetic, at least the title, to me started out as kind of a tribute to people that have fallen in our business, like Layne Staley and a lot of the people that have died, basically — rock and roll martyrs of sorts. And then it kind of grew from there, thinking about death… some people are drawn towards it, and just like a magnet, and other people are afraid of it and push away. And the concept that we're all gonna die sometimes is over-talked about and then a lot of times never talked about — no one wants to bring it up; it's the big white elephant in the living room. But we all have to deal with it at some point - James Hetfield

..but is successfully reached. The compositions and the music arrangement agrees with the concept, and also achieves to have the communicative impact. It seems as if each song could hypnotize a person to listen and absorb the message of the track. It is also supported by putting a dramatic in each track. It also avoids the long tracks to be boring.

Sadly, the band did a good shot but the production didn't. The sound seems to be too compressed; too balanced that most of the instruments are unrecognizable producing a very awkward and grained sound. Best track recorded was "The Day That Never Comes" since it's a little ballad so it does not need to have such a heavy effort in giving each instrument enough emphasis.

There are already several albums that contain an introductory track. Now, this album by the Guns N’ Roses are one of those. Sadly, this track does not give an impact. The thing to blame about this is the recording. The modulation throughout that introductory track seem to have let one question “Okay…what’s this?”. That’s a negative feedback yet it also served as a strategy to catch the attention of the listener. This strategy is victorious since the level of attention the introductory track caught is enough attention to listen to the second track. The second track introduced the talent of the band; the very skillful guitarist and the bassist gave good shots. The entrance of Axl Rose’s vocals level upped the impact of the entire album. The third track was a bit off; the piano made the entrance like a church song or a 70’s song if you are to remove the vocals. The last track is an astonishing finale for the album.

Most of the tracks are long. The shortest track is 3:30 duration and the longest is 6:41 duration. The length did not affect the tracks’ eminence. It even is astounding since no matter how long the tracks were, the vigor does not fade. Even though, the effect on the listeners’ do not reach what the band’s past albums have reached. The album did not seem to be a masterpiece despite the expensiveness of the album’s funds. That is why a lot became disappointed of the output; an ambiguous compilation. It appeared as if it was an album of 14 random songs that are aiming to become hit. It did not follow a dramatic flow, rather it just showed what Guns N’ Roses could do.

Thinking that Guns N’ Roses are already 24 years in the music industry, it is also splendid that they still could do quality rock recording. Since this album have reached platinum, despite the controversies, lawsuits (including being banned in China), it goes to show that this is, at any point, successful. The album proves that the energy of Guns N’ Roses still does not fade away, seemed like a come-back album after more than a decade of having a break. The album’s strength is on the talent of the band, not on the recording.

Expression and pain are the two themes incorporated on Slipknot’s “All Hope Is Gone”. These are thoroughly conveyed through the composition and of the performance. The presence of releasing emotions and anger do not force a listener to absorb what Slipknot is trying to say, rather gives a reflex effect on the listener to feel each emotion from track 2 to the last track. The second track seems to introduce the band’s overall talent; from instruments to vocals. The first track is disturbing thus accomplishes the darkness effect of the album. The very skilled drums serve as appropriate warm-up to get ready for the content of the album.

Excellent about this album is that despite the heavy need of screaming and going wild for the vocals, it did not ruin the recording. The balance of the sound and of the vocals is perfectly combined. It therefore is not a distracting album when it comes to the sound. The track “Snuff” is a very dramatic track; it is unique that it belongs to the power-ballad genre but maintains the darkness of the song. Putting this track does not annihilate the listener’s attention. It even makes the album interesting. The over-all dramatic flow of the album is spiced by that track. Also, putting "All Hope Is Gone" is a perfect finale for the album.

Despondently, the band fails to perform a proper-diction recording. Too much screaming on the second track made it not understandable. Belonging to the heavy metal genre does not exempt one album from quality vocal performance. The appeal of the album is widely from John Mayer’s charisma when he sings. His songs are always the singer-friendly ones: ones that one could sing at any place, at any time, not giving you the sweat but still very entertaining. The tracks seem to talk to the listener and makes him listen to what John Mayer tries to say, thus makes one pay attention to it. Support it with his very soothing voice, the tracks are really relaxing to hear.

Pointing on the album as a whole, one could admit that he may fall asleep if he listens to the album for a long time. This is explainable since the genres belonged to by this album are blues, soul and soft rock. This goes to show that the album achieves the expectation on this when it comes to its genre. However, not all people are into the blues so it is expected that the album may not occupy a large number of listeners. This is proven wrong because it reached double platinum certification. This is due to the almost-perfect quality of the album. Every note of the instruments is well combined with John Mayer thus resulting to excellently recorded songs.

It is hard to search for flaws to this album. The only people who would not be entertained are the people who judge music not according to its quality but on its level on entertainment. The only minor flaws of this album would be the arrangement of the song parts; the lack of climactic parts of a song (often seen in the bridge) somehow makes the attention to the song fade, and the compilation since the monotonous combination of tracks really put the appeal away.

If one has seen the movie series “High School Musical”, Ashley Tisdale’s vocals are more of a cute and sweet kind of voice. It also is very nasal. That is forgiven since that movie is meant for teens. This time, the release of “Guilty Pleasure” expresses Ashley’s isolation from being a teen pop star. Ashley Tisdale states that “Guilty Pleasure” is an album that shows that she has matured; being “edgier” and grown up. She leaves the pop and R&B genres and enters the pop-rock genre.

The album is more of a women-empowerment themed type but still has a display of a little affection. It exhibits the strong attitude of women, trying to keep away the softness when hurt. This indeed fulfills the attempt of showing a sense of maturity, but the vocals do not accomplish it fully. No matter what to do, Ashley Tisdale’s voice always possesses the very young voice especially when hitting high notes. This comes to show that Ashley’s voice is really more companionable to pop and R&B. However, it is well inputted in the recording of the tracks by putting “second vocals” together with Ashley’s voice. It just did go wrong on the “Delete You” track.

Background sounds are unbalanced to the vocals. Its existence seems to be isolated. If one would imagine this recording as a live performance, it’s like Ashley’s singing on stage while the live band is positioned at the balcony of the theater. This makes the recording not a quality one. Putting effects somehow cure this flaw. This kind of flaw would have resulted from Ashley’s incompatibility to rock music. It looks like she has to get old enough if she chooses to shift to rock music. The track “Me Without You” is a five star one since it’s more of a ballad song. “Crank It Up”, an electronic power pop song also presents that she might really do good for that genre.

This kind of debut album is a good shot for David Cook. The sudden input of power in music is already evident in the album which could be credited because of the quality recording as a whole and the genre. This album answers back the speculations of David Cook being an undeserving winner of American Idol. It says “I just had a bad performance that night…but there’s more to that. Listen to this album!” Avoiding comparison from David Archuleta’s debut album, David Cook obviously does his best in this. One point that should be emphasized about him is that he is able to have the sense of clarity in the pronunciation of lyrics even if the genre makes on have a hard time in pronouncing the lyrics well. One big factor of commercial success of an album is if the listener understands the album or not. David’s proper diction makes the listener understand and absorb the tracks, and therefore adds appeal to the album. His voice is unquestionable. It is undeniably such a quality singing voice and is very compatible to his genre.

The vocals of the album could have received positive reviews but the part where one could not blame David Cook about it which is the composition is badly noticeable. The composition seems to be shallow. It’s like “An 12 year old singer recording a compilation of nursery rhymes”. The shallowness of the lyrics is not too worth it of David Cook’s vocals. The attempt of making symbolic expressions (especially in Mr. Sensitive) is not absorbable.

Recording is almost perfect. It possesses proper modulation, instrumental balance and the transition of the parts of the song are well arranged. Adding background vocals in some parts seem awkward. It did sound good in "The Time of My Life" except for the first chorus part because it somehow overpowers the background music.

Being featured on advertisements like in NBA for "Let's Get It Started" and as featured artists in The Sims, the Black Eyed Peas is further introduced to the world through their third album, "Elephunk". It was released in 2003. It is their first album with their new vocals, Fergie. Kim Hill's departure from BEP was due to contract complications. In order to give a pay back for the group, Kim Hill introudced Fergie to them. Fergie's entrance to the group marked the start of the group's hiatus.

The album is a typical world-debut album of any artist, having the basic concept of putting tracks that would show the talent of the group and how well they do in their genre. The album showed much of their music style: the very melodical hip-hop type of music. It also shows how the uniqueness of each member combined to produce the hip-hop music that is expandable to the audience. Fergie's powerful vocals and expressive diction is noticed in the track "Shut Up". "Let's Get Retarded" then shows Will.I.Am, Apl.de.ap, and Taboo's excellent performance on rap. Socio-political messaged track "Where Is The Love", which is the group's first worldwide hit, is indeed gets much charisma because of the almost-perfect composition of lyrics, full-blast rap performance, violin backgrounds and Justin Timberlake being featured. The track captures the ears of the audience to listen to its message.

Despite the positive effects of the album to the audience, the over-all music quality of the album is not that perfect. Recording is fine, it complies with the way that kind of genre should be recorded, but not all tracks give the appeal that would make the genre entertaining for listeners who ar unfamiliar of the genre. Tracks with jazz as the dominating genre become dull at some points.

"Boom Boom Pow" may have already got the success any music artist wants to get but this does not mark the end of Black Eyed Peas' attempt to rock the music world. Finally, the much awaited album contained by "Boom Boom Pow" is out in digital stores worldwide. It was released in June 2009.

The title of the album is actually the 4th decision of what to entitle the album. It was originally planned to be named "Evolution", but Ciara gets it first. Then is the title "From Roots To Fruits" but B.E.P. decided to use the said title for the future compilation. Then is "The Energy Never Dies" but then is shortened to "The E.N.D." The "electric static funk"album, described by Will.I.Am. is said to have the concept of "a diary [...] of music that at any given time, depending on the inspiration, you can add to it." (Billboard interview)

The fun intention of the album is well expressed by all the tracks (except the 7th track "Missing You" which does not express empowerment). It tells a lot of confidence and empowerment possessed when one keeps on having fun not thinking of any worry or some negativity. It also gives the feeling of retro fun. Though not intended from the production, it lets out a retro essence, particularly from the sound of the mild drums, sound effects, electric guitar chord patterns and usual electric piano sounds: the "electricity" gives out this retro feeling.

The tracks are well introduced by the "Welcome to the E.N.D." introduction. The transition of that track to "Boom Boom Pow" really makes one stand up and dance and bop to the beat. Though it gives a strange disappointment on the entrance of the second track, the appeal and contagiousness of the album's fun is saved and retained throughout all the tracks. Fergie's diction always becomes the bridge of making the audience respond to how the songs, especially on the track "Electric City", communicate to them. These positive points go the band, their performance and their concept.

...the recording was just a little bit off. The concept may have made it hard to comply with by its polishing. The effort of editing the modulation is fine but it makes some of the tracks boring (especially in the 2nd track). It somehow makes the excitement fade away. The listener's effort of saving the excitement is to full-blast the volume.

Utada Hikaru is indeed a pride of Japan, being the on of the best-selling artist in Japan music industry. Utada, known by her loyal fans as "Hikki" sold 52,000,000 albums worldwide. She has been considered an artist since 1993 (that year, she is 10). At the age of 11, she has already been composing songs and starts recording at the age of 12.Her early involvement in the music industry is easy since her father is a producer and her mother is an enka singer. In 1999 (she's 16), she debuted her album "First Love" which was considered the most successful first-week sales of an album for Japan. Within the first week, it sold over 3 million copies worldwide. Her astonishing records in Japan music indutsry made her not only a celebrity in Japan. She moved to New York to take the challenge of showing the American and European music community of what she has, her talent. Utada's excellence also made her be featured in "Time Magazine" as a "Diva On Campus" as she continues her career while she takes up her college degree. Her presence in the "new world" puts her to the success to more on club music. Remembering her astonishing success in Japan challenges her to do more of what she does. Her first English album "Exodus" was released in 2004 and she said that this album is an experimental album of her worldwide debut.

In March 2009, she released her third English album "This Is The One". It includes the hit song "Come Back To Me". The release of this single widened the popularity of Utada worldwide which made her the "Spotlight Artist" for June 2009.

The album is enough to show "who Hikki is". From the lyrics to its music style, it already shows the Utada Japan loved: an awesome composer, a quality singer. Her voice's compatibility to R&B and pop is such a good asset and is evident in the album. Composition is also excellently made, showing the professional Utada as a composer, but the audience does not notice it because of her diction. Forgiven that she's not American or European, she fails to sing the lyrics clearly: some consonants are sometimes missing or fades awkwardly like "r", "k", "p", and "f". Much of these missing consonants are contained in the last sound/letter of the lines. The music plus the recording do not seem to have flaws. The compilations just do not seem to be satisfying. Some tracks are not musically compatible with one track within the album. Generally, the album is fine.

Utada's music could be more shown in another way. I am hoping for a better album next time, an album that could get the appeal "Come Back To Me" got, but be possessed by the album in general.

Patrick Stump (vocals and guitar), Joe Trohman (guitar and vocals), Pete Wentz (bass guitar and vocals), and Andy Hurley (drums and percussion) make up the band "Fall Out Boy". The name was given by a stranger. During their concert when they were still amateur artists, they asked the audience to give them a name. One shouted “Fallout Boy”, the sidekick of a “The Simpsons” character “Radioactive Man”. In the moment of their hiatus, they sing the ending theme of the said cartoon TV show. Fall Out Boy was founded in 2001, originally composed of Pete Wentz and Joseph Trohman. Patrick Stump became the lead vocalist as soon as he auditioned to enter the band. After 2 years, Andy Hurley entered the band. Now, Patrick Stump becomes the primary composer and Pete Wentz is the primary lyricist. The band had its international success in 2005 with the release of their single “Sugar We’re Goin Down”. Its first album “From Under The Cork Tree” became double platinum. Other hit singles by the band include “This Ain't a Scene, It's an Arms Race”, and “A Little Less Sixteen Candles, a Little More "Touch Me””.

In 2008, their 5th album "Folie à Deux" was released "Folie a Deux" literally means "madness of two people", or it could be a desease of a paranoia then is transmitted to another person. These two meanings are relatedt to the album cover [two people wearing mad-looking bear costumes displaying a wild mood] designed by Luke Chueh, an artist where in his works show the ironically combination of cuteness and macabre. It was supposed to be released for November but was moved to December for the album to be a "commentary" on America's election. Its pre-release promotion, which was called "Citizens For Our Betterment" was very controversial. It is a viral campaign through the internet of posting and spreading "clues" about the release of the "Folie a Deux" album.

Despite that the album is not YET earning a platinum record in America, it is such an impressive one. Interesting about this album is that its message is more of a love message but involves social and political lyrics to add appeal to the tracks. The music is also a high-quality one. Its combination of instruments plus the band's skill makes each song sound unexplainably beautiful. Their technique of putting violins pushes the music to intersect with the themes "love", "America", "politics" and "expression". Creativity is well used in its production. The album may not yet have been very successful because of the poetical lyrics.

Most of her singles became platinum inlcuding "Since U Been Gone", "Because of You" (composed since she's 16 years old), "Behind These Hazel Eyes", and of course "A Moment Like This". Kell Clarkson becomes the most successful American Idol winner. Each of her guestings in American Idol makes the show's staff very amazed of how well their winner has gone after her journey in the show.

In March 2009, Kelly Clarkson released her fourth album "All I Ever Wanted" which was originally planned to be entitled "Masquerade" but eventually changed it to isolate with co-chart toppers related to it like Britney Spears' "Circus". She tells that the album is inspired by American rock band "Garbage". The album debuted at number 1 and its lead single "My Life Would Suck Without You" became number one in the chart. Before that, it was originally in the 97th spot. This makes that single having the largest jump to number 1 in the Billboard.

The album's music is more on the drums and bass making it such a rock music album besides Kelly's throaty yet smooth vocals, but becomes more of a pop because of the perfect presence of balance in the recording and editing. Lyrics are easily understandable by the listeners which makes it more attractive, though the lyrics' indirectionality to its point does not get the total worldwide appeal since much of the people find it hard to absorb a song's message. Besides that, the rock essence of the music makes the lyrics unnoticeable. Because of that, the music is indeed the strength of the album.

She won seven Grammy awards since then. Her number one singles include "Ironic", "You Oughta Know", "Hand In My Pocket" and "Thank U". Her 20+ years of activity in the industry did not only include singing but also acting. She appeared on stage and on television in 23 shows including "Sex and the City".

In May 2008, Alanis released her seventh studio album "Flavors of Entanglement". Since Alanis also has the talent for dancing, she incorporates dancy beats in the said album. Its themes are related to personal and political issues which has also been seen in her previous albums. It expresses citizen empowerment on the issues one faces which he could use and think of.

In the album, it seems to show that the appeal of her voice seems to fade a little because of certain flaws; the album includes a lot of voice editing trying to put a spice on Alanis' voice. It becomes a failure as it diminishes the true and natural quality of her voice. Trying to understand that it's meant to blend with the synthrock music, it fails to maintain the success of her previous albums. Even though, removing its comparison to her previous commercially successful albums, verses of the tracks display the Alanis Morissette everyone loved. The diction supports her attempt to express the songs especially on the ballad tracks. She is able to expound human emotions.Her folk-essenced voice did complement to the dancy beats of the sound. The recording and editing on the music is such a good work as it balances the multiple and dissimilar instruments and digital-generated sound effects. Background vocals are also successfully blending with Alanis' vocals and not overpowers her unlike the usual recordings of other albums.I just don't get it how Alanis would dance with the tracks.

Maroon 5 is a rock band composed of Adam Levine(vocalist), James Valentine, Jesse Carmichael, Michael Madden, and Matt Flynn. They were once called "Kara's Flowers" composed of Adam, Jesse, Michael and Ryan Dusick The said name was from their crush during those times. They were discovered by Tim Allen but them as "Kara's Flowers" didn't become successful. Meanwhile, as they take a break after the failure of their debut, Adam becomes influenced by the hip-hop and R&B. This influence transformed the band's genre into a different one. The band becomes Maroon 5, together with James Valentine recruited as their guitarist to give way to Adam as the lead vocalist. This time, they were really known and they won a Grammy award for "Best New Artist" in 2005. Their debut album "Songs About Jane" was certified 4x Platinum making it known for the songs "She Will Be Loved" and "This Love". Ryan then left the band because of suffering tendinitis during the tours. Matt Flynn replaces him.

In May 2007, Maroon 5 releases tehir sophomore album "It Won't Be Soon For Long" which was said to be a sexier and lyrically darker than the first album. It is also more electric resulting to a retro sound. It is certified double platinum. The album deserves that certification in the US because of its oozing effect from the retro sound of the song. Adam Levine's vocals is very compatible to the mild rock used in the tracks. It is difficult to find flaws in it. Excellent.

The track choices for the TV series is cute. As each track is featured on the episodes, it makes the scene more expressive. The excellence of Korean Pop could be reflected on the album. If the English diction would be improved or all the lyrics would be in Korean, this albums would get a five star.

Amanda Leigh Moore is the true full name of singer-songwriter and fashion designer Mandy Moore. She has been a recording artist since debuting the album "So Real" in 1999, certified platinum. The next year, she enters the film area. In 2002, she starred in the film "A Walk To Remember", a novel wrote by Nicholas Sparks in 1999. The late 90's and the early 2000's paved the way of Mandy Moore to her hiatus, popularizing the song "Cry" which was the theme song of the said movie, "I Wanna Be With You", and "Crush". After those times, Mandy Moore concentrated on her acting career. In 2005, she entered the fashion career by opening her own fashion line "Mblem". In 2009, she stated that it will be shutting down.

In May 26, 2009, She released her sixth studio album "Amanda Leigh". The title is related to the theme of the album, reflecting the intimate and real Amanda Leigh "Mandy Moore". The album is a work with Mike Viola, a singer-songwriter, pianist and guitarist.

For the fact that the album was recorded in a basement with true instruments, it could be said that it is well done. It also reveals the versatility of Mandy Moore's voice by singing alternative pop-rock in this album which adds a classy mood to the music. It also isolates herself from the Mandy Moore who has always been regarded with the Britney Spears or Jessica Simpson presence.

Once there were three black beauties who were known for singing "Independent Women"...and one of them is now known for popularizing the songs "Crazy In Love", "Check On It" and "Listen". This beauty is Beyonce Knowles, an R&B singer-songwriter, actress, and producer who was once the lead singer of the girl group "Destiny's Child". After releasing her first ever solo album "Dangerously In Love", the public has loved her as a solo artist following tons of opportunities that came to her. The former girl group lead singer recieved four Grammy Awards for ther debut album. The choice of being a solo artist was a good shot since "Destiny's Child" got disbanded in 2005. Besides that she's the most successful member of the group, she also is one of the most marketable music artists. Her first album was certified 4x platinum and the second as 2x platinum. She was also niminated two times in the Golden Globe Awards for starring in the film "Dreamgirls" where in she also sang several soundtracks for the said film.

In 2008, she released her thirst solo studio album "I Am...Sasha Fierce". It is certified double platinum. She explains the theme of the album by this statement: (from her official website)

I am in a different place right now and I wanted people to see the many sides of me. The music is upbeat for the dance, fun side and it is reflective, passionate and serious for the personal side. The album belonged to 22 international charts. Its singles were commercially successful. It includes "Single Ladies" which was really hit especially with its music video: choreographically creative revealing the professional Beyonce.

Even if its singles were well done, looking at the album as a whole is not as appealing as them. Listening to the album will make one recall of her previous album which showed a better Beyonce. The album is deep that's why not all would love it, narrowing the population of possible buyers. Lyrically, the album contains dramatic that is narated musically by the lyrics. Musically, it is fine: meaning not as awesome as of the recording of her previous albums. The concept is really creative, separating the tracks into two, grouped as how the songs reflect Beyonce. There is one really interesting song: "Ave Maria". Try to analyze the song.

The friendship of three people since 1999 strengthen the existence of the band Rascal Flatts, a country band since year 2000 who released their self-titled album and debuted it in the top spot in the Billboard charts. Of their 7 albums, 5 of it debuted in the top-spot. They are composed of Gary LeVox (lead vocals), Jay DeMarcus (bass guitar, keyboards, vocals), and Joe Don Rooney (lead guitar, vocals). It's longest running single in the Billboard is "Bless The Broken Roads" which is lyrically is musically well done.

In Rascal Flatt's 9th year in the music industry, they released their 7th album entitled "Unstoppable". Its lead single "Hear Comes Goodbye" also reached the top spot in the Billboard. The album shows an innovation in the combination of rock, pop and country. Vocals sometimes do not jive with its presence in the tracks. Lyrical content would be given thumbs up!
