Cool Rider: The Low-Rent Segway

If you’re too cheap to buy a real Segway, now there’s the Cool Rider. It’s essentially a self-powered scooter that responds to your body’s movement.

The Cool Rider – which looks much less dorky than a Segway – zips you along at 12 mph and will set you back $1250. While not cheap, that’s about a quarter of the price of a Segway.

It’s powered by a big wheel that incorporates the motor inside. You can even detach the scooter and just use the big wheel with a pair of roller blades:

Victoria’s Secret May Have Outdone Itself in Latest Commercial

If you watch any amount of television you’re probably used to seeing some pretty sexy commercials from Victoria’s Secret. The latest one, however, is an instant classic.

The commercial promotes the “Miraculous Push-Up Bra” and stars Marisa Miller, Alessandra Ambrosio, Miranda Kerr, Doutzen Kroes, and Candice Swanepoel flouncing around in lingerie. Sorry, but commercials just don’t get any better than this.

Oxford Coeds Strip for Charity Calendar

By now it seems that every group imaginable has their members shedding clothes to create a naked calendar to be sold for charity. We’ve had librarians, dog catchers, and now…Oxford University undergrads. Yes, these brainy children of British privilege have produced a nude calendar to raise money for poverty-stricken third world countries.

The calendar has created a bit of a stir at the staid Oxford campus, as many of the photos were taken at the university’s most famous historic spots. Some students and tutors say the risque calendar has embarrassed the alma mater of Einstein, Stephen Hawking and 25 British Prime Ministers.

The calendar goes for 10 British pounds, or about $17, and sales benefit charity TravelAid.

Bullet Proof Sunglasses from Japan

What if you went on a dating website and every single person on there was a stunner? That’s the concept behind an exclusive dating site called Beautifulpeople.com.

To join the site, you must submit a photo of yourself and allow the existing members to rate you. The ratings range from “Yes, definitely”, to “Hmm, yes OK”, to “Hmm no, not really” to “No definitely not.

If the members think you’re hot enough, then you get entree. If not, tough luck.

Only one in five people who apply for the site gets accepted. The site was launched in Denmark several years ago, but has now expanded to the U.S., Britain and Japan. It has accumulated 180,000 members worldwide.

Apparently Brits have the hardest time getting accepted to the site. Only 12 percent of British men and 15 percent of British women who have applied to the site have been accepted as members. In contrast, two-thirds of Swedish men and a whopping three-quarters of Norwegian women are approved.

As if being able to date a bunch of hotties wasn’t enough of a come-on, Beautifulpeople.com promises that those few who get in will get access to “glamorous parties, a jet-set global network” and “potential contracts from top modeling agencies”.

If you don’t get accepted or just don’t feel like applying, Beautifulpeople.com has a preview feature that lets you browse around and see what you’re missing. After spending some time poking around we can confirm that, yes, people on the site are definitely above average. Are they all “10s”? No, but there seem to be more hotties per member than most other dating sites we’ve seen.

If you live in or around New York City and you want to support the arts, the nonprofit group Creative Time is hosting the ultimate slumber party.

Held at New York’s uber-trendy Ace hotel, the nighttime fundraiser will let you rub elbows – and perhaps other body parts – with New York’s hippest downtowners. With a dress code of “boudoirs and bachelor pads”, this is one fundraiser that promises not to be dull.

DJs Matt Creed and Fischerspooner provide the music and you’ll get drinks and snacks prepared by in-house restaurant the Breslin. Renowned artist Will Cotton has created a custom edition of 1000 pajamas for the event.

Carrie Prejean Has 8 – Yes 8! – Sex Tapes

Remember the former Miss California USA Carrie Prejean, that paragon of Christian virtue? Well, it turns out the anti-gay Christian spokesperson has not one, not two, but eight sex tapes. The tapes allegedly show Prejean masturbating, although none of them have made it on to the Internet (yet!).

When the first sex tape came to light last week Prejean called it the “biggest mistake of my life.” Looks like she made eight big, sexy mistakes.

According to RadarOnline, there are 30 nude photos of Prejean, in addition to the eight tapes. The site describes the tapes this way:

On one tape Carrie is wearing just a flowing white blouse as she touches her own body in an alluring manner. Carrie can be heard moaning on a few of the tapes.

OK, are you paying attention now? Thought so.

Prejean’s anti-gay marriage stance led to her being stripped of her beauty crown and a legal battle with the Miss California USA Pageant.

The revelation about the additional sex tapes just happens to coincide with Prejean’s newly released book. Pure coincidence, I’m sure.

Jesus Made Me Smoke Crack

Craig A. Dunn of Louisville, Kentucky, who is under house arrest, told police that Jesus had set him up, leaving a burned teaspoon with drug residue in his home. That two-timing Jesus.

Local police were doing a routine home check on Dunn, who is incarcerated at home because of a parole violation. The cops spotted an aluminum foil tube burnt at one end and a spoon with burn marks and possible drug residue, according to a local TV station.

Police have yet to locate Jesus to verify Dunn’s story. So unfortunately for Dunn, he’s now charged of possession of drug paraphernalia

Bra Doubles As Golf Putting Green

If you’re really into golf and you want your lady friend to join in the fun, Triumph International Japan has unveiled some bizzaro lingerie that might just turn you on.

It’s called the “Nice Cup in Bra” and is made from a grass-green top. Take it off, unfurl it and – viola – you now have a 1.5-meter-long putting green:

If you sink a shot into one of the two bra cups, a built-in speaker yells “Nice shot”! No, we’re really not making this up.

As if that wasn’t enough – and really, don’t you think it should be? – the bottom half of the outfit consists of a pink skirt that can be removed with the words “Be Quiet” printed on it.

See, if you are a female golfer and want some quiet on the course, you just take off your skirt and wave it around. I’m sure that works just great.

No word on whether this will be available in the U.S., but I wouldn’t hold my breath.

Cheerleader Flu Shot Girl Miraculously “Cured”

A couple of weeks ago we brought you cheerleader Desiree Jennings who claimed to be afflicted with the rare neurological disorder known as Dystonia as a result of a flu shot. Among the many bizarre and hard to believe symptoms that Jennings suffered, the weirdest was that she could only walk backwards.

For everyone who thought that Jennings was perpetrating a hoax, you might just be right. Jennings now claims on her website (yes, she has a website) to be miraculously cured of the affliction.

And who is this medical miracle worker who cured Jennings? Is it some prominent doctor or clinician? Not quite. It is Dr. Rashid Buttar who has run into trouble with his medical board and is known for using urine injection therapy. Yes, that’s exactly what you think it is.

Jennings, ever the publicity hound, put out a press release that stated, in part:

The treatments with Dr. Buttar at the Center for Advanced Medicine and Clinical Research in Charlotte, NC are working, and the results are nothing short of amazing. Jennings can now walk and talk normally throughout the vast majority of the day and the seizures/convulsions have significantly decreased. Although her full recovery will take an undetermined amount of time, her family is now for the first time, convinced she will make a complete recovery. She is now more than ever, driven by a desire to educate others to be informed of the potential side effects caused by vaccines and prevent others from suffering a similar fate.

Million Dollar Bugatti Veyron Ends Up in Lake

If you love expensive exotic sportscars, this next video will make you weep. Two days ago some genius down in Texas drove his $1.6 million Bugatti Veyron right into a lake near Galveston.

Here’s a bit of the report from the Galveston Daily News:

The man, who refused to give his name, was looking at real estate in Galveston.

About 3 p.m. a low-flying pelican distracted him as he traveled north on Interstate 45 just south of the hurricane levee near Omega Bay.

The man jerked the wheel, dropped his cell phone, and the car’s front tire left the frontage road and entered a muddy patch, which foiled his attempt to maneuver away from the lagoon.

The Veyron’s powerful engine gurgled like an outboard motor for about 15 minutes before it died.

So, so sad.

Girl in Miniskirt Causes Riot at Brazilian University

Geisy Arruda has become an overnight Internet sensation after she caused a riot at Brazil’s Bandeirante University in Sao Bernardo do Campo for wearing a short, pink miniskirt to school.

On October 22nd Arruda walked into school wearing the now famous outfit and hundreds of students started heckling her. The situation got so out of hand the local police had to be called in to escort Arruda out of the school safely.

Video of the incident was posted in YouTube and picked up by Brazilian media:

Alas, the hot mama has now been expelled from school. Her university even went so far as to take out ads in the Sunday newspaper publicly accusing her of immorality. The ads say that 20-year old Arruda disrespected “ethical principles, academic dignity and morality.”

Apparently, while wearing a thing to the beach is just fine in Brazil, wearing a miniskirt to class is big, big no-no.

Video Captures Drunk Woman Falling Onto Subway Tracks

This amazing security video captures the hair-raising saga of 27-year old Sophia Hartdegen as she drunkenly wobbles and then falls onto the subway tracks in Boston. As an oncoming train rushes in, Hartdegen rolls around the tracks unable to get up while frantic bystanders try to wave down the train conductor.

Thankfully for everyone involved, the conductor slams on the brakes at the last minute and misses running over Hartdegen by just inches. Hartdegen amazingly escaped the incident with only minor scrapes. Train operator Charice Lewis is being hailed as a hero for her quick thinking and even quicker reaction time. You’ll see why:
