I started this painting at a very odd time in my life. I was feeling very unsure about my work and the direction I was heading. I just wasn’t happy with anything I was painting. So this painting has gone though some insanity. First off I did about 50 different sketches before I nailed it down to this. And then I repainted this whole canvas about 4 or 5 times. I spent about 500 hours on this thing, for serious… CRAZY!</p> <p>The painting itself is roughly 18″ x 48″ acrylic on canvas. Saturday July 11th was a pretty exciting day for me as it marked the launch of my new Gallery and Studio. The Opening was a huge success! We had a lot of people come through and everyone seemed to be really excited about what we’re bringing to the table. I created a 2ft x 4ft live painting piece that was raffled off at the end of the show. It was a lot of fun!!!</p> <p>I’ll post pictures from the opening as I get them, but for now, here’s some photos I shot of the Gallery as it looks now.
