Here we go again with the racism against terrorists shit. Mr. Hanks – when you can prove to me that the 13 people who flew planes into the twin towers and the pentagon where white, 6′ blonde, bikini clad women from Sweden, then you can call us racists. You sir – are a boob. (Aren’t liberals supposedly more intelligent because they go to better schools?)

When fireman and rescue workers are hurt doing their paid jobs rescuing people and putting out fires, does the government pay them for their injuries?   Well, no.  There is no huge pot of money they get for doing their jobs.   So why are we giving the rescue workers money for doing their jobs on 9/11?   Yes, there were issues with the air after the towers came down, but isn’t their issues with the air when any building comes down?  Isn’t that why they wear masks on site?  If the government was behind these buildings going down, yes – we should pay; but they weren’t.  I’m sorry if they were hurt or are having issues now, but you work in a high-hazard job and shit happens.  I don’t see where it’s the government’s responsibility to pay you over and above what you normally receive in your line of duty.

Speaking of idiots – Nancy Pelosi revealed a lot the 0ther day when she was talking about the Obama-care bill being rammed through.

“You’ve heard about the controversies within the bill, the process about the bill, one or the other.  But I don’t know if you have heard that it is legislation for the future, not just about health care for America, but about a healthier America, where preventive care is not something that you have to pay a deductible for or out of pocket.  Prevention, prevention, prevention—it’s about diet, not diabetes. She tells us a lot right here in this one paragraph.  It’s not about healthcare, its about controlling America and what they do in their lives.   Diabetes happens.  Yes, prevention can stop some Type II diabetes from happening, but what about those people that are Type 1’s from birth?  How’s Nancy’s idea going to prevent that?   The health-care issue in Washington right now is not about caring for the sicking, but controlling the masses. Look at New York wanting to ban salt.  That’s what Nancy is talking about.

Liberals do not believe the masses can take care of themselves and it is the government’s responsibility to do so.  It doesn’t help that there are a lot of people already on the government dole, and they are adding to it daily by continuing to extend the unemployment benefits from our back pockets.    But let’s keep Nancy out there flapping – because the more she opens her mouth as far as she can (until the next botox treatment) the more she reveals what is behind her and the other liberals’ actions in Washington.

Sen. Reid’s Wife Breaks Back, Neck in Crash

WASHINGTON — Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid’s wife was hospitalized with a broken back and neck Thursday after a tractor-trailer truck slammed into the back of the minivan in which she and their daughter were riding on an interstate highway in suburban Virginia, officials said.

Reid’s wife, Landra, 69, whose injuries were not believed to be life-threatening, and their daughter, Lana Barringer, 49, were taken by ambulance to Inova Fairfax Hospital in Falls Church, Va. The daughter was released from the hospital Thursday night, according to a staffer with the hospital’s patient information service.

Mrs. Reid was listed in serious condition, Reid aides said, but was not expected to require surgery. She was being treated in the hospital’s trauma intensive care unit, said the hospital staffer, who declined to give his name.

“Under God” and “In God We Trust” are okay.

Fed. appeals court upholds ‘under God’ in pledge

SAN FRANCISCO — An appellate court has upheld references to God on U.S. currency and in the Pledge of Allegiance, rejecting arguments they violate the constitutional separation of church and state.

“The Pledge of Allegiance serves to unite our vast nation through the proud recitation of some of the ideals upon which our Republic was founded,” Judge Carlos Bea wrote for the majority in the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals 2-1 ruling Thursday.
Bea noted that schools do not require students to recite the pledge, which was amended to include the words “under God” by a 1954 federal law. Members of Congress at the time said they wanted to set the United States apart from “godless communists.”
In a separate 3-0 ruling, the appeals court upheld the inscription of the national motto “In God We Trust” on U.S. coins and currency, citing an earlier 9th Circuit panel that ruled the phrase is ceremonial and patriotic and “has nothing whatsover to do with the establishment of religion.”

The same appeals court caused a national uproar and prompted accusations of judicial activism when it decided in Sacramento athiest Michael Newdow’s favor in 2002, ruling that the Pledge of Allegiance violated the First Amendment prohibition against government endorsement of religion.

Last year at tax time we ended up having to pay Federal Taxes.   We made some adjustments, but even though the amount we owe this year is considerably less than 2008, we still have to pay.  And surprisingly, we also have to pay Alabama state taxes!   This is weird because usually what we have to pay in GA taxes wipes out our Alabama tax debt.

But … I’m thinking that in the end this is a good thing.  First of all, if we did have a refund, with the massive amount of Obama spending going on, would we even get the money?  With interest?  We already know that if we overpay our Federal taxes, and get a return, the government doesn’t give you interest on that overpayment.  Come on – do you think they’d to the right thing and pay you back with interest for what you gave them too much of?

Georgia is in another pickle this year with refunds.  Last year, we received a 4 cent interest check on the taxes they owed us back because they didn’t have the funds.  This year looks to be going that route too.  (No, we didn’t even bother cashing a 4 cent check.  Please)

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -  State budget cuts will likely mean delayed Georgia income tax refunds this year, unless you file electronically.

The State Revenue Commissioner says staff cuts mean there are fewer workers to handle paper returns. This will more than likely lead to a delay.

H&R Block says if you file electronically you should get your refund in about 10 days.

Last year, 278,000 Georgia tax payers got their refunds late. The incident cost the state 2 million dollars in interest.  via WTVM.com

Yes, it sucks to have to pay extra taxes to the Obama Administration’s bank account that they can send to ACORN or other progressive, union based groups that are trying to destroy this country – but, its the law and they won’t be coming after us for breaking the law.

So, a check will be written and our duty done.

Now, it’s 2010 and the citizens of this country have expressed their displeasure in Eric Holder’s love for Terrorists and Barack Obama’s head-twirling stupidity in this matter.  Word out yesterday is Obama is going to override his buddy’s decision to put New Yorkers’ in danger again and not have KSM’s trial in New York, but *gasp* in front of a military tribunal and possibly at (the yet to be closed) Gitmo.

Top advisers to President Obama are close to a decision recommending that the self-proclaimed mastermind of the Sept. 11, 2001, terror attacks be prosecuted in a military tribunal, The Washington Post reported Friday, citing unnamed administration officials.

According to the report, the president’s advisers have grown increasingly wary of bipartisan opposition to the planned civilian federal trial in New York City, mere blocks from where nearly 3,000 Americans were killed in the spectacular attack on the World Trade Center.

The man-child’s predecessor had a reason for putting these terrorists in front of a military tribunal.

And you lefty, Obama Kool-aide drinking spam-bots can just take a hike off a short dock right now.   Richard Reid was different and was a learning step to what had to be done.  He was tried before there were military tribunals set up and before we had the apparatus in place for what happens now.  [So don't bother spamming me -- I've fixed that ]

So Obama proves he is no leader, has incompetent people working for him (just watch one of Gibbs’ pressers) and shouldn’t have been allowed anywhere near the Whitehouse, more-less the Senate.

That’s okay though.  The elections in November will change things, and then as long as we can hang on, and stand tough, in 2012, Obama and his ilk will be sent packing.  They can move to Siberia for all I care.

Once the adults are back in charge (after they’ve learned their lesson from the Time of Obama) we can move this country away from coddling terrorists and away from the cliff that is communism.

I have met some pretty unsavory people in my life but this women takes the cake. No matter how much she professes “its for the people” the more she proves by her actions it is not.

Nancy Pelosi doesn’t give a rat’s ass about “the people”. Everything she does in Washington is about “her” and her party.

Now she’s claiming affinity with the tea party people.   Nancy – these are the same people you claimed (without facts) they were carrying swastika’s and were inciting violence.

Nancy, Nancy, Nancy – we see through your botoxed facade and call your bluff.

You’re draining the swamp has done nothing but back it up with more putrid rotten political flesh than any other Speaker of the House. Your staunch support of the vile Barney Frank is just one example. Your actions, or in-actions, speak louder than words and your words no longer have weight with the American People.

The main-stream, lame, media can try and paint you with a rose-colored brush, but we smell the rottenness of your words and deeds through it all.

We are not fooled Nancy. Oh you may keep your Senate seat because we all know the land of fruit, nuts and flakes are progressive to the point of communism and will keep reelecting their favorite flake. BUT – after November 2010 – you will no longer have the window office in the corner that reads “Speaker of the House” over the door. No, hopefully they will remodel some broom closet in the basement near the boiler room for you next stint in congress.

After this week’s dog and pony show in Washington I think it will be a very, very long time before this country elects an inexperienced junior senator from the State of Illinois to the presidency again.

Arrogance on display at its finest.  “I’m the President”.  Yeah, we know that Obama. We are reminded every day the unemployment rate goes up, every time you bash Vegas, every time you stand in front of your TOTUS in front of six-graders, and etc.

And boring never looked so beautiful to House and Senate Republicans.

Seven thick hours of substantive policy discussion, preening and low-grade political clashes had Hill staffers nodding at their desks, policy mavens buzzing — and participants declaring the marathon C-SPAN-broadcast session a draw.

But in this case, the tie goes to Republicans, according to operatives on both sides of the aisle — because the stakes were so much higher for Democrats trying to build their case for ramming reform through using a 51-vote reconciliation tactic.

I couldn’t listen to it because I was at work, but man was twitter burning up with what was going on!!! Then Rush hit the airways at noon and from there I heard all the high and low parts. Obama’s snarky remark to John McCain about the campaign being over had me glad I wasn’t driving because I was laughing so hard at that statement I would have wrecked if not parked.   Sen. McCain said he was reminded of that every day.  Of course Obama thinks he’s some great professor and must “preach/teach” the masses what is and isn’t.  I really do believe this man thinks we are all a bunch of dumb brain dead idiots who need a King.   Not.So.Much.

The unemployment rate keeps rising (even after we were promised by King Obama that it wouldn’t go above 8% if we passed his stimulus package, but what’s a little lie between friends right?).  Sure, the O Administration can spin this and that number – mathematicians can make numbers do whatever the highest payer to them tells them to say.   No matter what report, or who, you listen to – the situation is bad and the O administration is making it worse.  Sure, extend unemployment payments to those that voted for you — keep them dependent on you O … maybe they will try and vote you back in office in 2012, but don’t go holding your breath.

Last Day of Work has put out Virtual Villagers – The Tree of Life.  The fourth in their series that I fell in love with a long time ago.  As I am typing this post, my little villagers are running around trying to clear rubble, build huts, and figure out how to safe the Tree of Life.

The SGM and I are finally fighting the last of the crud that attacked us about … oh … a month ago.  Everyone around us has been sick at some level or the other.  We’re tired of coughing, blowing our noses, etc.  He coughed so hard he threw his back and shoulder out!  Gal at work bruised her ribs from coughing.  This stuff was hard to get rid of, even with Z Packs of meds.   I hope everyone is well and if not, getting better.  Go to the doctor – get the meds you need.

Before I go any further, let me tell you this:  We have no credit card bills.  We paid them all off and left them.  Open credit to balance what we owe on the house we felt was a good thing.  It is, as we have an amazing credit score.

So we open the letter and learn we are going to be charged an annual fee of $60.  BUT – if we make at least  $2,400 in purchases throughout the year, we get our $60 back.  Now isn’t that special?  Spend $2,340 to get back $60?  I heard a report on Fox News this weekend this is one way credit card companies are going to recoup their losses from no longer being able to jack up interest rates on people.

We have no balance on our account, but we have to pay?

If you haven’t heard, big changes are here for the credit card industry. On Monday the CARD act goes into effect and consumers finally get some relief from such practices as “double-cycle billing” and arbitrary rate increases.

The new act, which was signed into law last May, promises consumers more transparency about their credit card bill. But cardholders still need to watch out for a whole new series of traps and tricks.

He asked the SGM why the tea party people chose a sexual connotation for their group (ie: Tea Bagging – Google it). See, the anti-government taxing us to death movement chose the symbolism of the Boston Tea Party as their moniker. Keith “I think I’m important” Olberman from MessNBC is the one that brought up the sexual use of the word tea bagging to laugh at, or mock, the movement. The SGM straightened him out as to the non-sexual nature of the choice of the Boston Tea Party.

I shook my head at the whole thing. The liberal elites claim to be so smart, better educated than the rest of us, yet they don’t appear to have the good sense God gave a goose to figure out when someone is lying to them. As sheep being lead to the slaughter, the followers of Keith Olberman, Barrack Obama and their ilk supporters are really the most uneducated in what is going on in middle America.

They are those that don’t understand milk come from cows, not the grocery stores, and they are being duped by the White House and their media supporters each and every day.

Its very sad really. The SGM calls his co-worker the dumbest educated person he’s ever met.

I pity the liberal mind. What else can you do? They call us dumb, but they really are the dumber.

We may never learn why she murdered her brother, but it appears her attempts at retribution for crimes committed against her met with terrorist threats in one incidence, and of course murder in the last.

See – Amy Bishop was denied tenure at the University of Alabama “last year”.   This year, during a staff meeting she pulled out a gun and coldly shot three people to death.

An Alabama professor accused of shooting six colleagues was vocal in her resentment over being denied tenure and the looming loss of her teaching post, though relatives and students said she had never suggested she might become violent.

Of course I laugh at the statement she never suggested she might become violent because events in her past are obviously being ignored by her family.  I mean – how do you ignore a dead brother ala Bishop’s own hands on a shot-gun and then her fleeing the house, going to a car dealership and trying to steal a car?  Not violent?  Has marijuana become legal in Alabama and I wasn’t told about it, because these people are on drugs.

Oh and then there is the attempted bombing incident.

Investigators also revealed that seven years later, Bishop was the prime suspect in a 1993 mail bombing attempt on a Harvard Medical School professor. “I just feel angry,” LaTasha Davis, step-daughter of shooting victim Maria Davis, told “Good Morning America” today. “How did she even get a job working at the school when she had that type of background?”

Stinks to high heaven of cover up and a personality disorder related to rejection issues.

Today, liberal psychologists implore parents and school administrators not to allow winners and losers in sports and grades are not to be doled out in red ink for fear of causing low self-esteem issues with the child.  The child never learns to lose and never learns rejection of being picked last for the dodge ball team.

When children, an adults, never learn how to deal with rejection – what happens?   Well I’m not going to say they go out and murder – but Amy Bishop has some clear issues with just what is being taught to our children in this day and age: you never lose or are rejected.

Amy Bishop needs professional help and probably needs to be locked up in an institution for the rest of her natural life.  But that won’t bring back three people or her brother.  This women should never have been teaching at a University, or anywhere, with her background of violence.   We can only hope that the University of Alabama tightens up their requirements for teachers within the school system after this debacle.

Quick – look around.  How many people around you write notes on their hands?  (raises hand)  The SGM calls it the Infantry PDA.

What is the big deal please?  It escapes me.

At least she didn’t tote tele-prompters to a Sixth Grade class ….
