Yes, I am back on the scene! Whew, I can't even believe the hiatus I had to take...shucks, after this long I think it's called a sabbatical. :)

Man, I am so happy to be back to my crafting, it's only been a few days...but life as been so busy; I am loving my crafting detox.

This is another layout from my Lake Havasu trip, I think it's the last one, so if you tired of it...don't worry this should be it ;)
It's funny, I think this is the longest series of layouts featuring me, I'm always scrapping pictures of family or friends. #selfielove

I'm here with you again to share another layout I created with the fantastic Scraptastic September Skinny Love kit & Add-on.

So I've been watching YouTube video of people's fantastic cards using the SSS card kit, and I have literally been seething waiting for mine to come...AND IT DID!!

I love this kit, and I really love the die cut that came in it, so below is the first card I've made, I wanted to share it's a little different than my norm, which I suppose it a good thing.

I feel really challenged and inspired by this month's kit, I might break down and buy the collection, I adore the papers.

I was able to remember to cut on my camera. YAY!! This is the second layout with the fabulous Scraptastic Skinny Love Kit & Add-on.

This picture was taken on my trip to Lake Havasu. I decided to make it B&W because the background and my clothes really clashed with the colors of this kit.

I printed the picture on my Canon Selphy CP910, which I LOVE!

Thanks so much for checking out my blog, on this card I incorporated a new technique I saw on a Jennifer McGuire video, I'll link to her video below.
It turned out pretty good, but I'll keep working to perfect it.

I am just loving this large birthday sentiment on this Mama Elephant stamp set, and actually the Jen McGuire video prompted me to try the technique and purchase the stamp set. ;)

I'm still building up my birthday card stash. I just picked up a new to me stamp set for Mama Elephant and I have been loving using it. I fell in love with this large sentiment, and just had to have it.
I've been inspired lately by a lot of stenciled brick backgrounds, so I wanted to incorporate that into this project, and I think it really helps the sentiment pop!

Made it back from a fantastic last summer weekend in Havasu! I had a ball, and made great memories with great friends.

Hey there ya'll!

HAPPY LABOR DAY!
So happy to be back, I have been MIA again...with just not enough time in the day to get into my scrap room.
However, on this 3-day holiday weekend I have a clear day to get in my room and capture a new experience from my weekend.
If you haven't seen from my layouts or instagram posts, I am falling head over heels for Calligraphy! It's been something that I have been fascinated by, but just this year I've actually taken steps to takes classes and learn more about this wonderful skill. This also allows me to explore my own style and tastes, so I've been very inspired in this craft and other areas.

I was lucky enough to find a OOBER-ADORBS shop in my area that not only has adorable craft and decor stuff, they also hosts workshops in calligraphy, and tons of other cool things.

I have take a couple of classes from super cute and fun Angi of Angelique Ink, she's very nice and knowledgeable and I'm loving her style and work, be sure to check her out!

Anywho, this weekend I took an intermediate class in calligraphy and had another fantastic time, and wanted to document it with a layout. Everything is from my stash, so I don't have links for every sheet of paper or embellishments, but you'll recognize a lot, there's Crate Paper, Amy Tangerine, Maggie Holmes and some Glitz Designs.

Stash Dive #9

Hi y'all,

I'm back with another stash dive layout. This really turned out better at the end. The process during was uh...difficult; to say the least.

I did get a chance to use up through some embellishments, thickers and papers that I have just way too much of.

And I'm loving being able to get my photos in a collage and printed our on my Canon Selphy! OMG, I was stuck on stupid with that one. I watched video after video on YouTube, and still couldn't get it to work for me, until finally about a week ago the light bulb came on.

Or maybe I hit my head and didn't realize it... :) Anyway, #silverlining, I figured out how to make PicFrame work for me.

The challenge is still going strong to get through some of my massive stash! :)

Hey there folks,

Below is my final layout with the Scraptastic August Elastic Hearts Kit & Add-on. I only got 4 layouts out of this kit, but I must be honest that's only because I am hoarding like 5 sheets of paper from the kit that I just couldn't use yet! :)

I know I'm not the only one...lol!

All of the fantastic gold was just excitement OVERLOAD, and I couldn't make myself part with them just yet. I have a couple of fun events coming up at the end of this year, so I'm pretty sure I'll be able to part with them then.

Anywho, this layout was supposed to be clean and simple, but talk about overload, man the gold just got away from me.

Masculine card w/ Flowers

Hey there folks,

So, life as been busy this week. I've barely had time to craft at all :(
Funny thing, as with most of people in our crafty world I have succeed in accumulating tons of stuff, but not so success in using all of it.
My sister came by to use some of my dies, and I had a thought, I don't die cut enough! I have a bunch of stamp sets with coordinating dies (almost all of them actually :) but I don't use them.

So I'm challenging myself to really use my stamp and dies sets, and below is the first card from that challenge. This card is just about all Simon Says Stamp product, I'll link to them all below.

I'm calling this a masculine card because of the color scheme, and I believe mean like flowers too (as long as it's not too many)

Hey there folks!

So it's been like forever and a day since I've scrapbooked using my stash. I subscribe to Scraptastic Club kit and have been really trying to use the WHOLE kit, so that I'm not adding to my stash...but I'm also not using my stash :)

Anywho, below is a layout I created this morning. I intended to use my new kit this month, but I couldn't get the colors to flow, so I dived into my stash.

I'm 90% sure the background papers are Basic Grey from a collection pack, and the layering papers are Glitz, Bella Blvd and American Crafts.

The Rub-ons are American Crafts, the acetate stars are from a Simon Says Stamp card kit and the die cuts are Lawn Fawn.
