PHP5-GD breaks PHP Linux Mint

Hello eveyone! I'm fairly new here, and to linux, and am looking for some help installing Jinzora.

I've followed the directions, read the WIKI and even looked at this page here: http://maketecheasier.com/how-to-instal ... 2008/08/25.

The issue I'm having is this - I am running Linux Mint, Apache 2, PHP5, MySQL, etc. I can get into the installation, but I get red flagged for not having GD installed. So I go into the terminal and run sudo apt-get install php5-gd Once that's done, I restart Apache. The issue is, that as soon as I install GD, I can no longer load PHP from localhost. If I remove GD I'm up and running again.

Does anyone know what my problem might be? Any help would be appreciated!

I think you should have lame for windows and a linux version.

Why does my CSS not follow when using templates in Dreameaver? New to web desisn. My main page is fine and the CSS rollovers are working fine. but when i use that as a template the other pages are ignoring the CSS. I can't figure it out at all.

Hello, i have a jinzora site streaming successfully videos with two ways, with embedded player divxplayer (got if from your forums http://en.jinzorahelp.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=5654&st=0&sk=t&sd=a&hilit=divxplayer) and with embedded player wmpmobile (it opens the stream with vlc in my computer it doesn't play as embedded in site), i stream avi videos. I want to add a lot of new avi's to my site but they have seperate .srt subtitle files which i want to be displayed as the video is played, with the one or the other way.... is there any suggestion on how to do it ? can i do it with jinzora ? if not, does anyone know a way to do it?

How do you read pdf files on the LG Xenon? I want to read a pdf file on the LG Xenon but whenever i try to open a pdf file on it, it says unsupported file type. So what programs do you recommend me trying?

Hi, as I'm a new user I couldn't catch a thing about Jinzora, finally I got used to it and now I would like to expand my knowledge. I was fond on the LyricWiki service ut noticed the webpage has been legally obliged to disable their api, so I tryed with many websites without getting a successful result. After that I noticed that little php file called as leoslyrics and modded it to accustom to the new config of the web. To get the Lyric Retriever to work again all you have to do is replace the code on the file lyricwiki.php, located on services\services\lyrics and change it to this:

Okay, So I worked on this for all of maybe 3 hours before posting. 10 minutes after posting, i resolved my issue by removing 2.8 from /var/www. I then, copied the untarred directory (jinzora2) back over to /var/www. did a chmod -R 777, then access it via browser.

I find this strange due to the fact that this is what I originally did. The only difference I can find in my .bash_history is that I originally named the directory jinzora - not jinzora2.

And yes, I know running this under such loose permissions is not a good Idea, but every time I have ever installed jinzora successfully, I have had to blow apart the security for install purposes. After installation I will re-secure the file structure.

I am running into the same problems as jcbhead using 2.8. I am running Ubuntu 9.10 (64).
I currently have my apache server running multiple sites. I have downloaded 2.8 and 2.75 on two seperate sites (neither have been installed yet). I can access 2.7.5's Welcome to the Jinzora Installer php page with no problem. After executing the same steps with the 2.8 package, i receive the following when accessing from my browser:

i think there is no any permanent solution for this issue. you have come up with right fix that works fine but as far as hack is concerned it should not be prioritized than performance over all.

I have the same issue on my gentoo server. Streaming in https seems unusable - or maybe I've missed a setting or module? Streaming in http is working flawlessly for me though. I sould mention that I've never tried to solve this until now because I'm using jinzora mainly in my local network.

the streaming issue is not a big deal to deal with any server if you have set it up properly while keeping the right suit of constraints. there are some patches available to resolve such kind of issues you may go for them.

As far as php is concerned , i've not worked with it. but here are some instruction for this setrup that i used:
Do not change the offered destination location of "C:\Program Files\Lame for Audacity".
The first time you use the "Export as MP3" command, Audacity will ask for the location of "lame_enc.dll". Navigate to "C:\Program Files\Lame for Audacity", select "lame_enc.dll", then click "Open" and "OK".
If you prefer the Zip option for the LAME download, save the zip file to anywhere on your computer, extract "lame_enc.dll" to any location, then show Audacity where to find it above.

Hello.
At first a real great mod for Jinzora.

I know its not accurately to the topic but it will be a good foundation i think.
I have some problems with the embedded player. He is a bit to slow on my clientpc and i have the impression that he don´t support all filters of the codecs.
The transcoding to the embeeded player works great. Just if i want to show it in fullscreen it works mutch to slow.
so. Is it possible to lets create a playlist file what links on the transcodet stream an give the file out to download? Like a simple playlist file.
If i understand the source right it will be create a playlist file for the embeeded player too.

I think it must be possible but i have no idea from php.

Some one any idea how to realise that?

I hope someone can help me for that.

ps. Sorry for my english i have not really much practise.

hi quasimodo,

php5-mcrypt was not installed. Installed it as well as php5-mhash. php -m confirms that iconv and mbstring modules are included.

Didn't solve the problem though

Limit items per Page

I Like to request somthing like a limit to the items shown per page, becaus my private server has a quite huge libary about 50mb sql database size.... my problem ist that no browser I know can handle all tracks shown at once like pre configured in all frondends.

Atm i hackt into some styles and figured aout how to modify the (simple stye) that is is show ing maximum about 50 items.

my developing problem is that if I change the backend node class nothing happends no echos oder die() work am i working on the wrong file //

I need some hint pleas

I am aware that it works for others and that's what is bugging me.

As I said, there was no error with the credentials themselves.

I verified this by comparing the md5 hash of "admin" (which is my admin password), with the password stored in data/database/users. They match !

I will check if any of the php modules you mentioned are missing. But again,one would expect these errors/dependencies to be resolved during the installation/setup?

update.
i got mpd 0.13 (through apt-get) and icecast2 working.
jinzora works fine in stream mode.

now i edited the /jukebox/settings.php the standard way:

but when i choose "Music Player" in Jinzora library stops with the following errorcode:

heres the code from line 323:

dunno what to do now ;(
definitly the mediadirs in mpd and jinzora a equal

but first Create a file in /etc/init.d called "shoutcast" that will be the script to startup the service. You can look at the other files in there for guidance. Look at the smallest one to create your own version.
