Path is a new social sharing app somewhat like a minimal Facebook/Instagram/Twitter/Foursquare. Its objective is simple:

Path should provide you with the simple way to keep a journal, or “Path”, of your life on the go.

But unlike traditional social sharing apps, Path forces you to keep your “friends” list limited to 150 – so it is like an online-closed social network, a tad oxymoronic, but after constantly spam-adding and then subsequently removing people from my Facebook/LinkedIn networks, having Path is a refreshing change. I get a 2nd chance to choose whom I want to share my Path, and I get to be more open, in my sharing. That said, you still get the options to share whatever you post on Path to FaceBook, Twitter and FourSquare, to name a few, if you choose to do so.

Besides having one of the best UI on the iOS platform, their web UI is pretty as well (see above). They simply, kept it simple.

Dear Son,

I can’t call you by your name yet as, well, Mommy decided that she will has the naming-rights to you and for the peace of my mind, I will let her decide.

So yes, you are my son. (Saying this now so you won’t have to go through this)

According to the scans that your Mommy is going through, you are about 16 weeks old. Yep, just 16. So don’t be too eager to come out and show yourself.

You have another 20 or so weeks in the most comfortable place called Hotel Mummy where you will be well fed, well covered and well protected.

We will spend that next 20 weeks to make sure when you are ready to see the world, it will be the most beautiful place you will live and grow up.

We will be ready for you.

No one wants to die. Even people who want to go to heaven don’t want to die to get there. And yet death is the destination we all share. No one has ever escaped it. And that is as it should be, because Death is very likely the single best invention of Life. It is Life’s change agent. It clears out the old to make way for the new. Right now the new is you, but someday not too long from now, you will gradually become the old and be cleared away. Sorry to be so dramatic, but it is quite true.

I have stared at this screen for hours and couldn’t really find the words to describe the emotions when I learnt about his passing.

And I realised that it wouldn’t be what he want us to feel.

The best way to pay tribute to the life and work of Steve Jobs, is that if you own a Mac, or an iPhone or iPad, make full use of it. We don’t need to create something that will change the world like he did, but do something.

Type your next masterpiece, or simply clear up that long awaited To-Do list. Call up a friend or email a photo to your family.

He had spent his life creating tools for us to improve our lives. Make full use of them.

Yes I know I’m 3 years and 8 days late but hey, it’s never too late to write about being married. And yes, I am “inspired” by her series of Married Life posts, but why not?

So there we were in our living room last Tuesday, me sprawled over the sofa catching up on the latest sports news, while she was behind her desk, probably Sim Socialising, when I overheard a phone call she was making…

She: Yes can I confirm my dinner reservation this Friday at xxx xxx….oh thank you.

Me: Are we having dinner out?

She: Oh shit. I forgot. I am meeting the cousins to celebrate XXX’s birthday. I just didn’t connect that to our discussion about dinner plans for the rest of the week.

Me: AGAIN?

Some background. Not the first time that her dinner plans with others were conveniently left out in our conversations.

She: But, today’s only Tuesday. Not Thursday. And nowadays my preggy mind

Me: Still?????

She: But you can come home and play Gears of War 3 the whole night.

Me: Oh. Fine.

Married life is about compromises. A probably sumptuous dinner missed, replaced by couple of hours killing Lambents and Locuses. Not too shabby.

Three years of marriage. With a new (human) addition.
That makes three (humans and two cats) in our little family.
Me, Ms Thin, Coco, Emi and our little nugget.
He/She will be born in the third month of next year.
We are very thrilled, and pleasantly surprised.
And looking forward to the arrival of the Tiny Human.

PS: I had to breath in, just to get the right effect. Really.
