Lil Wayne and Kevin Hart To Appear In Upcoming BET Hip Hop Awards Cypher

The BET Hip Hop Awards were taped this past Saturday (Sept. 18) at the Cobb Energy Performing Centre in Atlanta and though the show does not air on BET until October 4, there were a few moments that leaked out. One of those moments includes a cypher that includes Lil Wayne alongside Kevin Hart, a.k.a. Chocolate Droppa.

The official cypher lineup is still mums the word, but news of Wayne’s participation seemed too tempting for attendees to keep quiet. Other highlights that made the news include Kendrick Lamar’s presenting Snoop Dogg with his “I Am Hip Hop” award, Rick Ross hitting the red carpet with his boo thang Ms. Lira Galore, and a politically charged T.I. performance. Other appearances include Fat Joe, Remy Ma, Young Thug, and DJ Khaled, among others.

Rapper Shawty Lo Dies In Car Crash

Atlanta rapper Shawty Lo, whose real name is Carlos Walker, died early Wednesday morning in a car crash in South Fulton county, according to the Atlanta Journal Constitution. Fulton county police say the crash took place at 2:20am on I-285 when Walker crashed his 2016 Audi over a guardrail. He hit several trees and the car apparently caught on fire. Shawty Lo was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.

The rapper was in the car with two women, both who were injured and taken to Grady Memorial hospital with non life-threatening injuries. Walker, once a member of the rap group D4L was known for rap hits such as “Laffy Taffy” and “Dey Know.” He was 40 years old. Back in 2013, the Oxygen network had planned to base a reality show about Lo’s blended family, which consists of 11 children and the 10 different women who mothered them.

In a collaboration with UK artist Dave White, the Jordan Brand was able to put what many consider to be a rare twist on the classic Air Jordan 1.

This USA-inspired, gold-tipped colorway was released on February 17th, 2011, available for purchase exclusively through an online auction. Just 23 pairs were made available, with the proceeds going to the Jordan Brand WINGS For The Future charity; over $23,000 was raised, meaning these shoes sold for an average of $1,000 per pair. As of this writing, there’s a pair on eBay with a $7,000 asking price.

This online-only release, dropped December 18th, 2008, coincided with Eminem’s book and song, "The Way I Am." The release came via the Air Jordan Flight Club website, which released 313 pairs of these shoes in honor of Eminem’s hometown Detroit, MI area code.

Unsurprisingly, these collectible Air Jordans sold out instantly and continue to be coveted by sneakerheads and Air Jordan collectors alike. Consider yourself lucky if you have a pair of these rare sneakers tucked away in your closet.

The Air Jordan 11 "Silver Anniversary" shoe was crafted to commemorate the Jordan Brand’s 25th Anniversary.

Released on May 1st, 2010, these shoes may be one of the rarest sneaker drops in recent memory. Many people lined up to snag their pair of clean, all-white Air Jordan 11’s, despite the fact that the signature Jumpman logo was missing from the shoe.

Only 25 people were given the Air Jordan 11 shoe complete with the Jumpman logo and commemorative, numbered patch.

Air Jordan 4 "UNDFTD"

Easily ranking among the rarest Air Jordans ever sold, this collaboration between the Jordan Brand and "UNDFTD" (Undefeated out of California) only produced 72 pairs of these rare, but coveted, Air Jordan 4 "UNDFTD’s." If you wanted a pair at launch, the only way to get them was through an auction and raffle at the Undefeated store in LA on June 23rd, 2005.

The color combination of army olive, solar orange, and black is another reason why these shoes are so desired. It’s a color combination that’s difficult to come by on any current pair of Air Jordan sneakers.

The Air Jordan 4 "UNDFTD" is one of the most sought after pairs of Air Jordans to ever hit the market. However, finding a set of these bad boys is difficult unless you’re ready to spend big bucks.

Basketball Diaries: Team Jimmy Jazz Is Doing Their Thing at Dyckman Park

When summertime hits, people take to the great outdoors to have a good time. Dyckman Basketball is notorious for its summer basketball tournaments. This summer, Team Jimmy Jazz is in the mix and they are making their presence known. Their skills were tested but they managed to come out on top this last game with a solid 58 - 45 victory against the BK Stompers. They took the lead by Halftime and continued to hit the buckets for the win.

Dyckman games are always packed and full of action. Getting there early is a must. All games are scheduled at Dyckman Park, Nagle Ave & West 2014^th Street. Power Kicks Off Season 3 With A Bang and A Promise of More To Come

We've all been waiting for POWER Season 3 to kick off and it was well worth the wait. Ghost is steadily trying to convince himself that he's out of the game. His head is up for grabs as he continues to try and make legit moves in the nightlife circuit. He and Angela are out and about with no doubts, and Tasha is trying to make it work on her own. Who would've thought Tasha and Angela would have to get personal in the same space? Accepting a marriage is over and playing nice with the sidechick can't be easy but she's trying to make it work for the kids.

Tommy wants to keep the work coming and is attempting to form new alliances with other prospects to keep his business afloat. Holly is all up in the mix, trying to be his ride or die, and is doing whatever she can to help him. The crew as we knew it is all shook up and everyone is trying to find their place. The relationship between Tommy and Ghost has changed drastically and they have yet to link up. When they do, sparks are going to fly for sure.

It will be interesting to see how this all plays out as the storylines are beginning to intertwine to create an awesome set of upcoming episodes. There are three main foot types (also called “foot shapes”) that you should be aware of: flat, neutral, and high-arched. Find Your Foot Type: The Wet Test

An easy way to test to see what type of foot you have it to do the simple “wet test.” All you need is bowl of water and a dark piece of paper (such as a manila envelope).

Dip your foot into the bowl and shake off any excess water. Then, while your foot is still damp, step onto the paper/manila envelope like you were walking on it. Finally, match your foot imprint with one of the three foot types:

Flat - If the imprint shows your foot’s entire sole with little or no curve, it means you have a flat foot.

High Arch - You have a high-arched foot if the imprint shows only a portion of your forefoot and heel.

Neutral Arch - You have a neutral arch if your imprint shows a distinctive curve along the inside of your foot.

Once you know your foot type, narrow your search to shoes designed to fit that foot type.

June is here and music festival season is about to kick into high gear. New York City's radio station Hot 97 is getting ready to kick off Summer Jam 2016 and it promises to be a banger. On Sunday June 5th, Meadowlands Arena will host two stages that will be set up for some of the industry's hottest acts. With performers being added as the event gets closer, the lineup is crazy and makes this one of the hottest music situations around. Our brand ambassador Pretty Lou will be on deck and you may even catch him on that Summer Jam stage.

The Festival Stage opens first with performances by Chance the Rapper, Tory Lanes, Curren$y, Desiigner, Post Malone, Justine Skyem Dave East, Dougie F, and Rotimi. Afrika Bambaataa Denies Child Molestation Charges

Zulu Nation founder Afrika Bambaataa has made a public statement, denying the allegations of child molestation. The 59-year old Hip-Hop pioneer, whose government name is Kevin Donovan, appeared on New York’s Fox 5 News last night for an exclusive interview with Lisa Evers. Bambaataa is being accused of molesting Ronald Savage, who is now 50 years old.

“I never abused nobody. You know it just sounds crazy,” said Bambaataa, who has since been excused from his duties as leader of the Zulu Nation. As a result of the accusations, the Universal Zulu Nation sent out a press release last week announcing its new leadership. They announced they were going undergoing a “significant restructure.”

Savage came forward at the end of March 31, claiming that Bambaataa molested him when he was around 12 or 13. Because the statute of limitations has passed, Bambaataa can not be brought up on criminal charges.

Though Nicki has been dating Meek Mill for over a year (she recently posted photos of the couple celebrating his birthday), Nicki and Safaree continue to battle it out via social media. The latest series of tweets seem to hint that Safaree is suing Nicki, claiming he was physically and emotionally abused.

The tweets appeared on Nicki’s timeline on May 10, starting with a subliminal jab at Safaree and ending with some tea that the internets had yet to drink. Nicki began by tweeting, “You’d be surprised to know that there r ppl who actually die inside every time they catch a little glimpse of your happiness.” She went on to say “N**gaz get mad when they can’t come & live lavish wit u…. #poorting I know it hurts.” Though she didn’t name drop him, Safaree immediately responded, “Trust and believe, nobody wants to live with you. #richthing Attn: money doesn’t buy happiness. The ones with it are the most pressed.”

The twitter exchange came just a few days after Nicki posted a series of photos to her Instagram, showing her cheesing it up in photos with Meek Mill for his birthday. In the tweets that followed her initial rant, Nicki said that she was served with a lawsuit on the 9th (May). In other tweets, she referred to Safari as a “poor excuse of a man” and “miserable.” Love hurts.

Ja Rule Slaps Fan Who Threw A Beer Can At Him On Stage

There have been quite a few instances of rappers lashing out a fan from the stage when provoked. This time, the physical contact comes courtesy of rapper Ja Rule, who was performing at a club. Rule slapped a fan after the fan threw a beer bottle onto the stage at Harrah’s Pool After Dark in Atlantic City.

In the video that has been posted to TMZ, Ja Rule is seen performing his song “New York,” before a beer can is tossed in his direction. The beer can hits Ja Rule in his head, and Rule is obviously bothered by it, asking for fans to give up the perpetrator so he can “slap the sh*t” out of him.” When he first asks the question, no one comes forward. However, once Ja Rule offers $1,000, fans point out the thrower immediately. That’s when Rule delivers a quick slap, with his security not too far from him.
