What a cool tool this is. I think the playback function, when built with a set of equation tools, could be an outstanding tool for math and science faculty to do demos for students and allow them to watch them over and over again. I also like the Rosy language translator tool. What a neat option.

Ways to use iPods in the classroom

A great article from Orange County Department of Education in California on ways teachers and students there are using iPods in the classroom. I loved the idea of having young kids read into the recorder and then listen to their reading. Seems like a truly great way to reinforce language concepts. Wonder if that might work at upper levels to help students studying a foreign language.

The first day of class

There is something remarkably refreshing about the first day of classes. Now in a collegiate environment we get to experience this excitement three times a year. While the summer term is always a little more subdued I still find the start to the semester to be a ton of fun. I love that students want to get to know you and want to make their mark on your memory early on. I love that no matter how much I edit and modify classes to try to make them easy to follow and the best they can possibly be someone still comes up with at least one fabulous question each semester that makes me go - how did I never think of that?

Happy first week of summer classes to everyone.

Test

Test
