In reality, failure is a collection of mistakes to first identify and then to learn from. Failure can be either what marks and defines your future or it can become a stepping stone to future success. What decides the direction failure will take? The power of thought will determine the direction.

People are made, or broken, according to the use they make of the power of thought. Now, that sounds pretty simplistic and taken too literally, rather impossible. It doesn’t mean that you can simply say you’re going to be rich over and over to become rich. It means that with an understandingrent a car bulgaria of yourself and your ability to learn to function within the principles, laws and motives that drives success, you can obtain success. If you have the willingness to work, the determination to succeed and the persistence to stay with it until it happens.

He was born into a dirt poor mountain family in the American south. Illiteracy and complacency compelled several generations of his family to poverty. Hill likely would have lived his life the same way had it not been for the arrival in his life of a step-mother who had no patience with poverty or illiteracy and had the will to speak up.

Inspired by this woman, Hill set out to learn how others acquired wealth so that he might do the same. He spent twenty-five years on this quest, attaining access to and analyzing the life work of over 100 men and women who had attained outstanding success in their fields of work and to 20,000 who were classed as “failures”.

During those twenty-five years Hill organized his work into the “Law of Success” philosophy and lived that philosophy to prove it worked. His findings are as relevant today as they were when he wrote them.

Throughout his work can be found lists. Those lists become the base for expanding on his philosophy. Pages containing those lists will be appearing on this blog. As I explore his works in greater depth, my posts will reflect my understanding of those lists and the other principles he writes about.

This blog will be about motivation and its various aspects. What drives you? What stirs up motivation, passion, desire to succeed or to change in some way? Self understanding is often the first step towards changing, growing, evolving.

This is an appropriate year for me to start this blog. The year 2008 contains the birthday for me that marks my first half century of wandering around in this life. It seems to me that I need to turn it into the year when I decide what I want to do when I grow up and then seriously work in that direction.

I know what I want to do. I also know that I have the ability to succeed at what I want to do yet some how I manage to keep stalling on getting on with it. So, this is to be the year that the stalling stops and the crawl, even run forward begins.

So, what is it I want to do? I want to make my living online. I want to have a lifestyle that allows me the ability to work from my home and control my own time, my own forward movement, my own life choices. I want to get up in the morning knowing that my needs are met and I can add to my comfort zone at will. I want to reach a point where taking a few days either for myself or because I have become ill doesn’t stress me about the financial hit it creates.

So, what is it that you want to do? What is it that you need to do to get there? Come on along on the journey and let’s see if we can all meet our goals.
