The Career Assistance Team (CAT) assists fellow students in the College of IST with navigating the internship and job search process. Becoming a CAT volunteer is an excellent way to help your peers as well as improve your own internship and job search skills. It’s an impressive resume builder and a great way to network and build relationships with fellow students, the Career Solutions team, and recruiters. Some of the responsibilities include helping students with their resumes and cover letters, presenting personal internship experiences to freshman students, maintaining a CAT Facebook group and Twitter account, and providing assistance at the Pro Expo and resume workshops.

If you’ve completed an internship and will be a junior or senior during the 2009/2010 academic year, you are eligible to be a CAT volunteer. To apply please e-mail your resume to careers@ist.psu.edu along with a paragraph explaining why you would like to be a CAT volunteer before May 1, 2009.

- This would be great for students who are looking for something to do this summer
- You can volunteer and be a student at the same time!
- Local opportunities involve working with children and youth, which is great fro education and human services majors

THANKS FOR YOUR HELP!
