Why should you use Vectors?

There are essentially two types of graphics that can be created: a bitmap or a vector shape. So what’s the difference between the two? A bitmap is a basically a grid where each cell, or pixel, is assigned a particular colour. A vector is comprised of only points with properties that the computer uses to calculate and draw a line between them. Below is an example of a circle created in both formats.
