DON'T use ZiPhone, it is notoriously bad for screwing up your iPhone/iTouch. Also, I would VERY strongly recommend you update to OS version 3.1.2. Just download 3.1.2 from <a href="http://www.felixbruns.de/iPod/firmware/" rel="nofollow">http://www.felixbruns.de/iPod/firmware/</a>, back up your iTouch, Option+click (Mac) or Ctrl+click (windows) on restore and select the 3.1.2 OS. Once its done, download <a href="http://www.blackra1n.com/blackra1n.exe" rel="nofollow">Blackra1n (Windows)</a> or <a href="http://www.blackra1n.com/blackra1n.zip" rel="nofollow">Blackra1n (Mac)</a> and run it. When you get the choice to select whether to install Cydia, Installer, or RockYourPhone, select only Cydia. Ok, a few things. Turns out that there are a lot more steps involved to get irecovery to work.
