Basics of Faith
Islam began with the first man, who was also the first prophet, namely Hazrat Adam (peace be upon him). The meaning of Islam is submission and obedience to Allah, the Creator of all. From Hazrat Adam (peace be upon him) through to Hazrat Muhammad (peace be upon him) was delivered the message of Allah to mankind; calling them to the worship of the One true God and establishing piety on earth.
