"On The Journey"

On The Journey Down Play List

1. Poor Wayfaring Stranger
This is my take on that wonderful American folk song that I have come to love so much. I learned it years ago in college.
2. Leave Your Nets
You can find this song on the CD “25 to Life”. This is available as a download from our store.
3. Flying Like an Eagle
For a song that was recorded back in the mid 70’s on the album Through the Eyes of Love, this piece really sounds rather good, even now. You can download this early Medema album from the website.
4. Leaving Georgia
This is a song that grows out of a story told in concert. The brief story and song are together here.
5. Journey Down
This is a song I don’t sing much, it’s a bit obscure maybe, a bit hard to listen to, but the message is so very important. Give it a good listen, download it or order the CD from our store.

Thanks for listening. If you see me on the road, shout, don’t wave.

"At the Table"

1 When All The world shall Feast
These lyrics to the tune of “When Johnny Comes Marching Home” were written for a musical called “The Gathering” which I put together in the mid 70s and is still being used now and then today.

2 There’s Gonna Be a Party Here Tonight
This song is a part of a musical called “Come to the Table” which I composed with Bev Vander Molen for a synodical gathering of the Reformed Church in America in 1987. It has undergone some revision and is still quite available, and surprisingly easy for a church to stage.

3 Here Comes Tomorrow
This piece is found on the cd “25 to Life” and is available as a download from our store.

4 Brethren We Have Met to Worship
Find this piece on the project called “Some Day” also available as a download.

5 Grandma at the Table
This recording made in concert includes the story told by an audience member and the song to go with it.

6 Bread and Roses
This particular version of a song I first met in the 60s comes from John Denver’s Higher Ground Album.

7 Cook with Honey
I first heard this song on an album by the Women Folk but this version comes from a collection called “70s Music Rock Soul Country and Folk”

2. A Hidden Tear Drop
3. Listen
Here’s another piece from that first album “Fork in the Road”.

4. A Rainy Saturday
This piece created in my home studio is actually a story of what happened on a rainy summer Saturday. It’s a bit long and uses several different musical elements to tell the story. Try listening to it with your eyes closed and picture what’s going on in your mind’s eye.
