All is good and fine.. with combined video views of well over 1 billion (in just less than 5 months) of all his Gangnam style videos along with the hundreds of other parodies of his Gangnam style… it’s only natural to be sick of it by now.. I mean come on.. its practically overkill these days, right?

Well… all that changed right at the American Music Awards 2012 last Sunday…

It was just like what you’d normally expect from the annual Awards show but everything changed right at the end.

Psy’s performance of his mega mega mega-hit then was just “okay” when he suddenly went “Hammer time…”

Huh??

Who zat?? I mean who the f is zat??!!

Omg.. who would’ve thought? In a span or a mili-second, MC Hammer was once again… king of the world!

Holy crap is the guy in awesame shape for his age or what??!

I just imagine all those rednecks turning the TV on and seeing a Black guy and an Asian singing a Korean song together and having a heart attack haha.

“What I thought was, I’ve got to do more than Gangnam Style, so I thought about it? Something special, something huge, very massive,” Psy explained to Access Hollywood.

“I just got the word, MC Hammer, aww yeah.”

Hammer didn’t think twice about teaming up with the pop newcomer. He is in awe of how successful Psy’s track has been all over the world and believes the singer deserves a lot of praise.

“He’s got the world dancing again. He’s got the world on fire. I love what he’s doing and I was a huge fan of his work. It’s unbelievable the level that he has the world dancing. It’s only happened like four times,” Hammer said. “James Brown, Michael Jackson, Hammer time and Psy? Other people may have a record, but they don’t have a dance.”

The two stars cemented their friendship after their performance by attending an after-party together. They went to a bash held by Justin Bieber’s manager Scooter Braun, who signed Psy to his label.

According to New York Post, the pair gave another rendition of the galloping Gangnam Style dance at the gathering, which descended into a dance off at around 2.30am. One eager partier was so determined to show off her moves she didn’t pay full attention to where she was dancing and ended up falling over.

I always knew that Psy could dance (admit it, his moves were hot, however corny you make think it is), but after watching him side-by-side next to Hammer, all I can say is that this guy can really bust a move lol.

Go Korea… go Asia… we are taking over the world… woo hoo!!

Oh and as for Hammer, my God.. at 50, he shows he can still out-dance most any of his younger peers as he drops, locks and does his fancy footwork all across the rehearsal floor.

This rehearsal was shot before MC Hammer and Psy’s much-lauded AMA finale on November 18 (local time) which has quickly become a trending topic online and is regarded by some as the best AMA closing stage in recent years.

After that electrifying performance that got the world re-energized and dancing to Gangnam again, they may have given the world a glimpse at the budding of a beautiful musical friendship.

“Well, we absolutely love working together,” Hammer told Billboard shortly after the performance. “He’s a very humble man and a hard worker and I love working with him. We are cooking in the kitchen right now.”
