The Codex is the basis for every wordpress research. I sometimes call it the “php manual” for wordpress, every function is very well documented and a great ressource for developer.

WordPress TV

Some great wordpress screencasts, from theme development to “how to use the 123 plugin”. Definitely worth to checkout if you are a beginner and diving into wordpress.

Wp Beginner

Great ressources, good tutorials, a site which I found only recently. Definitely a great bookmark!

WPCandy

WPCandy offer great tutorials for some “uncommon” wordpress uses, such as using it as a CMS, a freelancing platform and so on. One of the most popular wordpress sites.

WPEngineer

Similar to Wprecipes, they offer some great tutorials.

The problem is the new (or changed) “Push” Mail setting. After switching this service off, restarting the iphone the problem was fixed. I hope this might be useful to someone having the same problem, drop a line if this fix worked for you as well.

Classipress allows you to setup a classified ads listing website in less them half an hour. All you have to do is:

• have a plain install of wordpress
• buy Classipress, upload it to your wordpress theme folder and activate it.
• adjust settings.

It’s easy as that. and the feature list is not-ending, here just a few core features:

• Paypal Integration (optional, you can ask for a listing fee)
• Auto Expire Ads
• Sucategory Box
• Email Notification Form
• Seller Contact Form
• Google Maps Integration
• Google Analytics Built-in
• Google Adsense Built-in
• and a lot more…

The pretty good thing in my opinion is the good support forum on the website, so even if you run into troubles (which I nearly exclude due to the really straight-forward use of Classipress) you get nearly instant answers to any questions.

There is an impressive showcase list on the Classipress homepage which shows you how people use this wordpress theme.

This theme is not free, however it costs only 49US$ and that is for such a great theme (and possibly a good moneymaker for you) very fair. Go over to Classipress and GRAB YOUR COPY!

Here is how I did it, I hope it might help someone of you:

1. You need to get the following software:
   • Latest Version of Nokia PC Suite
   • Nemsis Service Suite
   • Nokia Software Updater
2. Product code of Nokia E66 (look for it on the web, if you are located in Europe the following is fine for you): 0552844
3. Install Nokia PC Suite
4. Install Nemsis Service Suite, choose “Virtual USB Device” during setup
5. Connect your mobile phone to the pc using the original Nokia cable, start Nemsis Service Suite and click in the top right corner on “Scan”
   
6. Details for your phone will be displayed:
   
7. Now you get to the important part. Click on “Phone Info”, then in the field “Product code” insert the code for your device (in my case 0552844as mentioned earlier):
   
   Make sure you have flagged also “Enable“, then click on “Write“
8. Now the product code is modified, so the phone is no longer branded as a Vodafone firmware model, but now it is a original, no-branded Nokia Version.
9. Now you have to start up the Nokia Update Manager.
   
10. Click on Start, you get to a second window which reminds you that you should have fully charged your mobile phone battery and that the phone memory shouldn’t be encrypted and that you should have done a backup:
    
11. Click on “Next”, then you have to confirm that you are ready to start the upgrade process (in the image below, in my case it says the the firmware is already up-to-dtae, so I’m asked if I want to reinstall the latest firmware:
    
12. Click “Reinstall”, after about 20 minutes you have a original, latest version firmware on your phone and can enjoy it.

Please remember: doing this, you might lose your warranty, so think twice before you do it. I’m not responsible for any damage which occures on your mobile phone during this operation. I’m happy to help you if you have question, just post your comment here.

P.S.: This instructione might work similar for any other Nokia mobile phone!

I’m using the service now since last december, and have to say that after a few problems right after the activation of my account I’m now pretty happy with the service. OpenCart is designed feature rich, easy to use, search engine friendly and with a visually appealing interface.

Cubecart is a free shopping cart solution, but the new version v4 is no longer opensource but you have to pay for it if you want to upgrade. Cubecart has a wide range of supported payment gateways and is pretty straight-forward if you are not yet similar with shopping cart systems. Definitely a good choice if you want a simple shopping cart solution.

osCommerce is the “grandfather” of all open source shopping cart solutions. This is probably the most feature rich shopping cart solution available, there are plenty of plugins available to extend it for nearly any usage. Also the community is very helpful if you run into troubles.

AgoraCart is a very popular shopping cart solution written in Perl/Mysql. Despite the pretty complicated Perl-Language, the installation and the customization is pretty easy, as there is a good installation guide and as well a nice css-editor available which makes it possible to edit your templates right from online from your browser.

If you are more a designer rather then developer, then zencart is for you. It allows really easy customization through XHTML-templates, also has a newsletter manager, gift certificates, banner manager…. There are also a lot of addons available to easily extend the functionallity.

Storesprite is free as long as you don’t remove the copyright. It features easy installation, simple customization and a lot of features which are right build into the core installation. It also supports a wide rang of payment gateways and sweet features like customer ratings and comments.

I have to admit that until now I was not able to test the Geo Logger, as my camera broke recently and so I had to buy a new camera (Canon EOS 1000d). So I hope I get this camera asap to get my hands on the PictoGeo as well.
In the meantime, I have sorted all my pictures (especially the one from my travels in Australia) and used some really wicked features of Pictomio. Here are some really great things I love about this software:

• Ability to add EXIF geo position to a photo using either GoogleMaps or Microsoft Earth
• Ability to upload photos to different photo sharing sites, including flickr, facebook, picasaweb, locr, photobucket
• Image rating
• Automatically rotation of images according to EXIF data
• EXIF data editing (if you really need this…)
• Ability to view photos on Google Maps or Microsoft Earth and if using PictoGeo ability to view an entire trip
• Carousel image view
• Image tagging

So, that’s it for the moment. As soon as I get to use the GeoLogger, I will post an update.

Before installing any app from Cydia, all apps from AppStore (Spore, BrainChall) started up with no problems, but soon after installing biteSMS, NO app from AppStore wanted to start up anymore. They just crashed 2 seconds after starting.

So, biteSMS must be the app which blocks any other app. A short look at the bitsms forum (http://forums.bitesms.com/forums) revealed that I was right: Kimcha wrote in a post about that. He also posted a solution, which didn’t work for me, but if anyone wants to have a go follow this 2 steps:

1. SSH into your iphone (using putty)
2.

plutil -c xml1 /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.SpringBoard.plist
vim /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.SpringBoard.plist

3. remove ”/var/mobile/Library/biteSMS/biteSMSsb.dylib:” from <key>DYLD_INSERT_LIBRARIES</key>’s <string>.
4 reboot

As I wrote already, this didn’t work for me, so I did remove biteSMS. The guys over at biteSMS promised a updated for tomorrow, monday!

Actually I have made it to get biteSMS to work!!!!
Here the steps you have to do:
1. Get Erica Saduns iphone utils here: http://ericasadun.com/ftp/EricaUtilities/EricaUtilitiesBeta-13.zip
2. Copy plutil to your iphone “usr/bin” folder using WinSCP
3. Using putty, SSH into your iphone, and chmod plutils to 755:

cd /usr/bin
chmod 755 plutil

4. Then execute

ldid -S plutil

5. Then execute

plutil -c xml1 /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.SpringBoard.plist

6. Then remove ”/var/mobile/Library/biteSMS/biteSMSsb.dylib:” from DYLD_INSERT_LIBRARIES’s .
7. Then reboot your iphone

Freepixels offers high quality stock photos.

Freerangestock

You have to register to download images. Photos are all high quality, and if you decide to publish your photos on freerangestock you get a part of the ad revenue!

Geekphilosopher

No registration, good photo quality, and a nice category system. Easy to find images what you are looking for.

Gillesgonthier

Some really stunning insect images, not very much of them, but definitely worth a look.

Imagetemple

Some really nice stock photos, but not very often updated.

Microshots

As imagetemple, some really nice stock photos, but it seems not updated recently.

Openphoto

A sort of community, there is no need of registration for downloading photos, but if you want to upload them. Quiet good quality images.

Photorogue

A really interesting concept: Actually, they ask you which images you want, and then they start a sort of a contest asking people to upload images to the gallery. Definitely worth a look!

Photoshoptalent

Often updated, some really really stunning photos, together with sxc my favourite free stock photo site.

Stockcache

Some good photos, but nearly one year ago since the last update.

Stockvault

A bautiful site, really stunning photos, a vibrant community, often updated. A great site.

Sxc

A great place to find high quality stock photos, all photos are reviewed before published, to download photos in high quality you have to register for free. Probably my favourite.

Unprofound

On unprofound you search images by colour, some great photos, updated regullarly.
