Adolf Hitler; a name the whole world is never going to forget, a name that still instills fear in some and hatred in some others. He was the key person behind World War II, Nazi Germany and The immensely infamous Holocaust. The name we have all come to relate with such despicable acts of horror was, in fact, a decorated veteran of World War I. His autocratic and totalitarian reign of ‘The Third Reich’ is a legend in itself.

Hitler’s biography forms for a great source of learning valuable lessons in life. His autobiography, Mein Kampf, describes his struggles in great details and is a great source of inspiration for many. What this autobiography doesn’t depict is the great mistakes he committed that turned him into one of the most hated and dreaded people in all of history. These are visible in Hitler’s Biography. There are many lessons to be learnt from Hitler’s Biography. He made many mistakes during World War II that cost him dearly and ultimately led to Germany being crushed to defeat.

· The first lesson comes from his arrogance that he was invincible. He made the mistake of turning Russia into a foe. If it was not for the Russians, it would have been extremely arduous for the allies to retaliate the way they did.

· The second lesson to be learnt is the cost of being over-confident. This led to the demolition of his bomber squads in Britain and cost him dearly.

· The third grave mistake was the Holocaust. His sheer hatred of the Jews was one aspect that shows us the value of human lives as this was probably the most horrendous of all the mistakes he made. His deployment of unnecessary troops for eradication of Jews weakened his strength and ended in his defeat.

· Another major lesson to be learnt is the cost of oversight. Him not being able to track the Japanese while they attacked Pearl Harbor dragged America into the war and cost him his campaign.

One other worthwhile piece of learning from Hitler’s Biography comes in the form of his disdain for lives in general which cost him the Battle of Stalingrad. This shows us to treat the lives of your fellow men with reverence. What is the need of motivation in life? Whenever you overcome with the life’s burdens and fail to move forward in the life due to stress, sorrow and other mishaps, losing your self confidence, then you need motivation. Many a time you ignore the restlessness of your mind, but you cannot ignore it for an indefinite period of time. If you do that then you have the chance of turning abnormal. That is not expected from anyone.

There may be a variety of reasons why you might think that you are not performing up to the mark and you slowly lose your confidence in the work you do. You feel like you are not doing anything productive, you feel restless. Troubles in relationships, betrayal, and failure are some of the causes to name a few. If it is not given proper importance, you can become totally depressed and lose your interest in your life.

In such a chaotic state of your mind if you address your problems to God you can be relieved a bit of the chaos that is running havoc in your mind. Blaming God for your problems may not be a solution but putting your trust on Him, asking Him to provide you support in your dire need will be a feasible option.

In Ephesians 6:11 it is advised to God’s followers to “Put on the whole armor of God”. The “armor of God” is not any armor that we put on when you are heading towards a war zone to fight people of blood and flesh but a mental barrier that will protect us from all sort of evil and negative feelings and thoughts. It is actually a shield of faith on God which will protect us from our own mind. The belief that everything happens for a reason and God never thinks ill of His followers is the basis of faith.

This you have to do yourself. As no amount of preaching can inculcate in your mind the idea that
God is present and is responsible for the good things in your life. You can never thank Him enough for the life He has provided you, let alone other pleasures which he has supplied. If you renew and strengthen your faith and belief in God no amount of worry, anxiety or evil will be able to discourage, depress or de motivate you in the path of your life.

The Great Lord who has created everyone and has adopted them in the family is like a living Father who scolds His children for the wrong this he/she has done yet loves him/her with unmeasured passion in heart. When He gives He gives His fullest. But He is not harsh in taking away.

His power, strength and His blessings are the things which help you to move forward in your life thus enabling you to succeed in your endeavor. He is the cure for your depressions, discouragement and all other negative aspects of life. The love of God is wonderful and heavenly. Believe in Him and experience it!

Some are working very hard towards renunciation of the world while the majority remains apathetic and indifferent to the sufferings happening all over the world. Though the cause can be claimed as natural the truth is that nowadays the disaster can be man-made and that is the primary cause of the unrest and tragedy.

One thing that you must remember is that only one person cannot bring about the required change. Majority of the people, if not all, should work towards a common goal in order to achieve a harmonious, peaceful world. However the little you do always counts, so you take responsibilities of what you can do and wait for others to do the same. Soon, the world will be a harmonious and happy place to live in. Have you ever thought what motivates you to work better? Some say its success, others say love for money. But what many people do not know is that your emotions are the basis of your motivation of the work you do. It's hard to believe. Isn’t it? Let’s look at some examples. When you are sad no matter what you do you feel like something is wrong even simple things like listening to music can make you grumpy. But when you are happy even the toughest and meanest jobs are not a problem for you. This is because human emotions are the key to motivation in our life.

Of the various conditions present that affects your success rate three points need special care. Those are the things you cannot work without. They are autonomy, mastery and the purpose of the work at hand. Now what are these? Autonomy is your desire to be the master of your own work, means you will do it according to your moods and whims. The second point is mastery. It is your interest to be better in your field of work. Be the master of your own work with a high level of performance. The last point is the purpose of your work. If you think that you are making a difference to the work you are doing however small, you will be motivated to work harder, no matter what others tell you. If these key points are executed well then you will be happy with whatever work you do, big or small.

Your perceptions of your emotions and the motivation when intermingled with your zeal of work provide you the best results in your life. Creative people like thinkers, problem solvers, artists are not motivated by money but by their passion for the work. In fact money is a very trivial thing when you consider your whole life, the various fields of your interest.

So now the basic question how does your brain deal with emotions and make a practical use of them to motivate you in real life? Positive emotions like happiness, joy etc. help you to broaden your mind but negative emotions like sadness, jealousy narrows your chain of thinking and makes your life more tiresome. Fight Against Superstition - Be Bold and Brave- Motivational Story

Once in a small village in Himachal Pradesh, lived a boy named Shyamu. He was very mischievous and always created some or the other problems for the villagers. The villagers were totally sick of his activities as sometimes he used to loosen up the cattle out of the farm, break water-pots of village women and even burn crackers in front of cattle.

One night the villagers heard a loud noise popping out from the nearby forest. All the villagers thought it to be another prank by Shyamu to scare them. The next day the village head asked Shyamu that why he was making loud noises in the midnight on the streets of village. Shyamu refused that he didn’t do anything. Finally after a couple of arguments he was warned by the villagers for not playing such a prank. But, that night the villagers again heard that weird noise and it became frequent every night. At the end of the day, Shyamu was held responsible for all this.

Then one fine day, Shyamu went to his cousin’s place for few days. And that night they again heard those scary noises. The next day the village head collected a few people and went to Shyamu’s house for taking an action against him. After reaching his place, they found that Shyamu was not in the village since the previous morning. This scared the village head he thought that Shyamu was right it was some ghost which was making these noises. The news spread like fire in the village. The very next day a small boy was found missing from the village. The villagers gathered and went towards the forest to search for the boy. On entering the forest, they found the boy’s clothes. This indeed scared the villagers and they did not try to go further for searching the boy. Now, there was a rumor spread in the village that there is a ghost who lives in the forest, he roams on the streets of the village for hunting kids.

After a few days, Shyamu returned his village along with his cousins. He was told about all the happenings taking place in the village by his mother. Shyamu felt weird after listening this but, the same night he heard those noises and the very next day another boy was missing from the village. Now, this created a hassle among the villagers. The village head reported this to the police and they started their investigation. At, night two policemen were sent by the local police station in the forest to search for evidence. The next day they didn’t return. This created more fear within the area. This made Shyamu plan out an expedition for knowing the truth. He planned to go into the forest at late night with his cousins. After the clock tucked 12 at night, Shyamu left with his cousins for the forest. The scary noises started and they saw a small beam of light coming through the forest. They followed the direction of beam and crossed the lake. On going further, they saw a hut outside which the two missing boys and the two policemen were tied up. They looked around and saw a tape recorder with speaker. They came to know the secret of noises. Shyamu advanced towards the hut and peeped through the window. He found four men sleeping in the hut. Shyamu locked the door of the hut from outside to avoid their escape, while his cousins untied the policemen and the boys.

They planned to get these dacoits trapped. The policemen hurried at that moment, went back to the village and gathered a huge crowd for trapping the dacoits. As soon as the one of the dacoits woke up he found the door locked from outside. He woke up the other dacoits and they saw the village crowd coming towards them. They picked their guns and shot the lock and broke open the door. Now putting their guns on Shyamu’s head they demanded a safe escape, while all were stunned to see Shyamu in such a risk. The village head warned them to put down their guns else they will attack them but, one of the dacoits fired in the air and the villagers ran away from.

Meanwhile, the policemen were hiding in the nearby bushes. As soon as they turned for collecting their looted money which was placed in the cowshed, the policemen dodged them and took away their guns. Seeing this even Shyamu dodged the dacoit who had placed the gun on his head. The fourth dacoit was shot on his leg by one of the policemen. Meanwhile, the police jeep arrived along with the village head and other members. The police arrested the dacoits and put them in the vans. The village head praised Shyamu for his bravery and the police rewarded him with some cash since, these dacoits were the wanted criminals. The next day Shyamu was appraised in front of the whole village for his bravery.

Moral: Finally, a small boy teach that superstition is a hazard in life, it makes one coward and hopeless. One should always follow the truth and be bold enough to face it.

Doctors do say that, when mentally a person gets depressed for any specific reason in life and need to recover from the episode of life, they should take the help of friends rather than family members and it actually do work for the recovery of the person. Friendship is the only path where you can show your compassion contributing to some good not only to your life but for another person whom you selected to be a part of your life out of love and affection.

Happiness is more often, considered to be a state of mind and hence is associated with the things and activities that seem to please people. However, many times people fail to find true happiness even after doing all the things that they like. This is because happiness is not just about feeling pleased in a specific situation, but is rather associated with the overall physical, emotional and mental well-being of individuals.

In order to overcome the high level of stress that has become an integral part of modern day living, it is important for individuals to learn about the ways of making happiness grow in their everyday life. People need to understand the basic fact that while achieving success in life is extremely important its relevance is only when they feel both emotionally and mentally happy about it. Throw that watch out the window to start managing your time better? Are we nuts! Not really, no. Managing time optimally is all about clearing the clutter inside your head. It’s not about becoming a slave to that $3,500.00 Rolex Oyster you wear to declare to the world that you’ve arrived.

Throughout recorded human history, there’ve been people who’ve changed the way we think, people who’ve rewritten the human knowledge-base, people who have acquired the status of demi-Gods, and in this crowd (in this lean-mean crowd to be precise), there have been people who hated watches. Einstein, for instance. There have also been people who’ve made their marks in world history, but have religiously made it a point to “be on time”, people who refused to be seen dead without their watches and clocks. One such man, closer home, is Mahatma Gandhi.

Einstein was out to rewrite the sciences as we know it. The Mahatma was out to free a country. But here we’re talking about people like you and me. Recent studies show that in the past five years, the sale of watches has gone down 17 percent worldwide, and even Einstein and the Mahatma would’ve agreed that when everybody’s wrong, everybody’s right.

Following are a few pointers that are crucial if you need up your time-management skills. You may like these, hate these, also say that this looks like the work of a pseudo-intellectual who has answers to every question under the Sun.

1. Spend at least 30 percent of your workdays going over whether time-management on that day was good, bad, or ugly.30 percent seems like it’s a very high figure. It, most probably, true also. But didn’t they teach you that you need to audit your entire day before hitting the bed. So, educating yourself is a primary task that will help you take better control of your non-sleep hours.

2. Always promise less than you can deliver. You need some time out to review your day. If the boss asks you to set your deadline for a project and you know you can do it in one week flat, ask for 10 days. This mantra works. Not only will you be called a magician by your management because you are beating-the-deadline specialist, but also gives you the time needed to plan your next workday.

3. Keep out of social networking when at work. With all due respects to Mark Zuckerberg, you do NOT need him to trespass into your thought process when you’re busy with something more important. Something such as doing a good job of whatever you have on your desk.

4. Learn to say “No”. We’ve already seen that ladies who can’t say no somehow manage to get into trouble every alternate day. Make sure there are no distractions when you’re working.

5. Don’t let phones and emails hijack your day. I know that anyone into a process like customer servicing will wish me a horrible death for writing this. But if you’re in some process other than these, you simply have to ignore calls and mails when at work.

6. Always remember that your first loyalty is towards the end-user, not towards a career manager. So, the management wants you to review that computer game and write a critique for “War and Peace” in 90 minutes, say no. Do not take impossible deadlines that affect your quality. Your end user is not a moron, he can smell bulls**t from 50 kilometers away.

7. Organize, plan your day and stick to it.This won’t require that you buy that obscenely expensive smart-phone. An Excel sheet will do.

8. Keep a buffer period for unforeseen circumstances. You edit a newspaper. You’re waiting for a document for closing an article, a document that your research team said will take 30 minutes tops. When you’re informed there’s been a glitch and this document will take an hour to come, move on to something in your task-list that’ll take 30 minutes and get it over and done with. Don’t play “Doom Resurrected” on your laptop for those 30 minutes, you’re on company time.

9. Don’t let unimportant details take your time. When you’re replying to a client query through mail, do not spend an hour in a debate with your boss on whether “make a decision” or “take a decision” is good English. Both usages are correct, script that mail and send it.

10. Take a break. When you’re all pooped out after four hours on your laptop, take a break, have a coffee, go for a smoke, take time out to walk up to that ravishing new-hire in the next cubicle and tell her she’s looking devastatingly beautiful. Do anything except work when you need a break. Working with a tired mind affects the quality of your work, and this quality is non-negotiable.

These are pointers are just the first step towards making your work-plan more aerodynamic. The pointers that will help you take control over time. But these are not the only points. How Lord Ram’s Values Help Us in Modern Corporate World? Ram Navami Special

Since the MNC’s came into India the one fear that always bothered the Indians was that this era of corporatization would perhaps be responsible for forgetting our moral values. But that did not happen as the MNC’s knew how to cater to the Indian sensibilities. A long time has passed since and one can easily see that in the office space (of a corporate office), values from the Ramayana and the Mahabharata are followed. These may not be exactly the same as written in these epics but as time has passed and changed, so have these values but only in the manner of acting them out and not the crux of it all.

The first and the foremost quality that one sees in a corporate set up is that of the hierarchy, which is the chain of command that is an essential part of the workplace. The one at the top of the pyramid is the leader and this leader has to exhibit certain leadership qualities, which can in most cases be seen as being similar to how with the help of ideals and values upheld by Lord Ram, he was able to fight a war with Ravana, and what’s the most important feature is that he did it by “playing by the rules” and fair and square. Such ideals and values are now important pre-requisites for various corporate companies that are willing to hire candidates for a particular job.

Another one of Lord Ram’s values that are followed in the corporate companies is that they are able to polish and refine leader’s to make them excellent teachers. These teacher’s (leaders) are then able to shape their protégés and mold them into becoming future leaders of their respective companies. But for this, the leaders require the compassion and understanding for which Lord Ram is known for. The corporate world may be a place of cutthroat competition, but by imbibing ideals and values of Lord Ram they teach you to be competitive and compassionate all at the same time.

Lord Ram was a man of ideals and also, he was an ideal man, an ideal son, husband, brother, King. So taking it from there the corporate world doesn’t expect its employees to be ideal in every sphere but they want an ideal worker which is why they look for leadership qualities and being able to work with a team. Moreover, other such concepts as deployment of work to subordinates and having a deputy in charge and outsourcing can all be seen as concepts and values taken directly from the Ramayana.

So let these words be a reminder to everyone in the corporate world and the non-corporate world, that no matter how new the technology or the idea is, we as Indians can proudly say that our tradition helps us to work to our fullest and give our best because of the traditional values that have been passed on from generations. How to Get Motivated While You are Depressed?

There always comes a time when you will be down and out and no matter what you do you feel as if there is nothing that can pull you through. But, there is always a way. And as cliched as it may be, but where there is a will there is a way.

Firstly, you need to be able to figure out the root cause of your depression. Be it losing a job, or even breaking up or any other reason, you need to identify it and try and make peace with it. Once that is done you must try and not do things that would remind you of the negative stuff. In order to not get depressed further you must involve yourself in positive activities that will make you happy and not sad.

Second of all, when you are depressed you will be highly negative. Your appetite will be affected; you will either eat way too much or you will completely cut off your ties from food. But even if it hurts, you need to tell yourself that no matter what you must keep yourself healthy and eat. One thing that you need to understand is that overeating or starving yourself will only harm you and you must counsel yourself to not do that.

The next step is to socialize. Now that becomes quite challenging as many a times people who are battling depression tend to avoid people not realizing that having friends around would be a big motivational factor. Talk out your problems with your friends or someone who is close to you. If need be, go to a counselor as they are good listeners. But do not go to a counselor thinking that they would provide a solution because they will tell you only one thing and that is that the solution lies within you.

Taking it from here, as someone who is depressed you must tell yourself positive things about yourself. It may sound childish or silly but the truth is that when you are depressed your morale also goes down and despite others telling you ‘how great you are’ or that ‘you are awesome’, one tends to not feel good about themselves. Confidence also becomes low and it starts affecting everything around you. In such times, you must keep yourself cheerful and happy and tell yourself that no matter what, you will be okay.

Getting motivated when you are depressed is not much of an effort, but the important thing is that you take that motivation and turn things around for yourself so that you can go back to being the way you were. Do better at your job, be focused and figure your priorities in life. When order in your life is restored, you shall automatically get motivated to do something and do more than what you can. But always remember, when down and out never set unrealistic goals as they may disappoint you and make you sad all over again. Instead make small goals that will make a smile appear on you face upon completion and make you believe in yourself and in everything around you.
