I first saw the flats from my her (shopping) post and immediately fell in love! Asked her few questions about it and decided on the colors.

I originally wanted nude and green but according to Sasha, the green flats has a black garter which unlike the other ones has the same or close to the color shade of the shoes. So to end the debacle on the color, I just decided on getting a red pair, my fave color. Unfortunately, the red flats also has a black garter on it. To probably save (her) time, she decided on the color for me. I was actually wondering why she hasn’t called me about it. Then I saw her post.

Uh-oh! It’s not that I don’t like the color but it was actually more of the shade. It’s dark.  But hey, I trust her and when she says it looks great, it will look great!

And she’s right! I actually like it! Wore it the first time last sunny Monday.

According to Sasha, this is a Rubi Evie Flats in Navy Microfibre while the first one is Rubi Evie Flats in Camel Fish. These 2 pairs of shoes were on sale for AU$30 while it’s AU$19.95 each if you only buy a pair.  Not bad at all!

I was not actually planning on buying a bootie but a pair of flats.  Remember that I was actually hunting for this, but when I checked Zappos again, the smallest size they have was 7.5.  Too late!

Then there was this.

Anyway, was browsing Endless.com when I chance upon their on going sale.  I was originally checking their site for any Marc by Marc Jacobs flats but to no avail.  And the next thing I searched for were booties for my dress which I planned to wear to a wedding.  Came up with 4 choices and asked hubby for his opinion and we both end up liking the Joy Chen shootie.

Joy Chen started designing footwear in 2005.  It is “a new brand devoted to a younger, American, fashion-savvy audience”.

This is actually my third time to buy shoes online and I was kind of uneasy about it since I can’t really return it back.  Ordered a size 7 with B width hoping it is the right size.

It felt a bit narrow at first but after awhile, I was able to adjust and get comfortable with it even with the 4.5 inches estimated heel height.  For me, it’s actually much comfortable to wear compared to my other shoes with 4 inch heel height.

Talked to my sister about this and she recommends Tory Burch Reva or Gentle Souls Kenneth Cole Reaction.  I am not really a fan of Tory Burch because of the big logo so that’s really out of the list.  Don’t get me wrong, I love designer bags and shoes but for me, less is better (with exceptions, you’d know why in just a bit).

With a broken heart, I searched the net for a nice ballet flats.  I am on this hunt since I realized that most of my flats are black.  I do have a red one but it’s not my everyday kind of flats.

So anyway, I came up with 3 color categories: multicolored, camouflage, or pewter/taupe.

Lets start with the lightest, Pretty from Kenneth Cole Reaction.

As I’ve said awhile ago, I am not a huge fan of embellishments (studs, ribbons etc.) but this is also what I was referring to when I said exceptions. The color and the buckle is simple enough for me.  The Gentle Souls is too simple for a price tag of $195.00.  Although my sister said that it is truly soft that she even bought two different colors.  If I am getting something expensive, I want it simple but unique.

Pretty is a suede ballet flats with a man made flexible sole.  It is available for $69 and comes in 3 different colors: Taupe, Navy and Black.

Camouflage

I like the camo style but haven’t own one except when we were required to attend High School CAT on a full camo get-up (boots, pants and top). I think it is my first time to see a camo ballet flats unless I intentionally did not notice it before.

Manolo Blahnik Tere camo ballerina flats is priced at $395, KORS Michael Kors Olympia camo flat at $185 and Tory Bruch exclusive camo Reva ballerina flat for $225.  All available at Neiman Marcus.  Prada also has a camo ballet flat made of calf hair and it’s worth $695, also at Neiman Marcus.

Among the three, I like the Camo Reva Ballerina Flat of Tory Burch best.  Again, except for the logo.  What I like best about it is that it has an elasticized back.

Multi-Colored

I haven’t really found that one multi-colored shoes  that I would really like to buy.  This I think was my original plan, to get something multi-colored which is not too light nor too bold just like Miss Marc.  I guess it was not really meant for me.  I will just think of it in a positive way wherein another Miss Marc design will come out better than this one or I’ll find the one I really like on sale. *teehee*

The following night, I researched the net which sells Miss Marc flats.  Found it and to my great surprise, it’s worth half the price compared here.  Good thing I didn’t buy it locally since I could get two flats in the US for the same price.  *dizzy*

Anyway, meet the smiling Miss Marc (Marc by Marc Jacobs) with cats, hearts, clubs, diamonds, hearts, owls, and rabbits.  This is the second Miss Marc set I wanted to buy.  And this one I will truly get.  I just hope my mom wouldn’t get mad at me since we’re buying lots of stuff in the US and she’s bringing it back here for me.  I am truly excited!  Available for $195 or PHP8230.00 (versus PHP17,500.00 at Greenbelt 5).
