Minyak akan habis dalam waktu 90 tahun sebelum energi alternatif ditemukan, demikian hasil penelitian terbaru dari Universitas California, Davis.

Prediksi ini dipublikasikan secara online pada 8 November dalam jurnal Environmental Science & Technology.

Penelitian ini didasarkan pada teori bahwa investor jangka panjang adalah penaksir terbaik untuk menjelaskan mengapa dan kapan teknologi energi alternatif terbarukan menjadi biasa digunakan.

"Hasil penelitian kami menunjukkan bahwa butuh waktu lama sebelum bahan bakar alternatif yang bisa diperbarui bisa bertahan, setidaknya dari perspektif pasar," kata pemimpin penelitian, Debbie Niemeier, profesor teknik sipil dan lingkungan pada Universitas California, Davis.

Niemeier dan rekannya Nataliya Malyshkina berencana membuat perangkat baru yang akan membantu pembuat kebijakan menyusun target-target yang realistis mengenai ketahanan lingkungan dan mengevaluasi kemajuan yang dicapai untuk sasaran-sasaran itu.

Dua unsur kunci dari teori baru ini adalah kapitalisasi pasar (berdasarkan harga saham) dan dividen dari perusahaan-perusahaan minyak milik pemerintah dan perusahaan-perusahaan energi alternatif.

Para analis lain sebelumnya telah menggunakan persamaan-persamaan yang mirip untuk memprediksi iven-iven dalam keuangan, politik dan olah raga.

"Investor yang canggih cenderung meletakkan upaya besar pada pengumpulan, pemrosesan, dan pemahaman informasi yang relevan dengan masa depan arus kas yang dibayarkan sekuritas-sekuritas," kata Malyshkina.

Hasilnya, lanjut dia, penaksiran pasar terhadap iven-iven masa depan yang mewakili prediksi bagian terbesar investor itu cenderung relatif akurat.

Niemeier mengatakan hasil penelitian terbaru ini adalah peringatan terhadap target bahan bakar terbarukan sekarang yang tak cukup ambisius dalam mencegah masyarakat, pembangunan ekonomi dan ekosistem alam dirugikan karena ini.

"Kita memerlukan dukungan kebijakan yang lebih kuat untuk mendorong pembangunan teknologi pengganti ini," katanya.

6 Tips belajar Fotografi dengan Bunga

Foto bunga adalah salah satu proyek foto yang sangat populer bagi pemilik kamera, apalagi bagi pemilik kamera baru, foto bunga hampir selalu wajib dicoba. Mari kita bahas beberapa tips memotret bunga supaya hasil foto anda nantinya dipuji teman-teman:

1. Jangan memaksakan harus ke taman

Kalau anda tinggal di daerah dataran tinggi atau pedesaan yang relatif banyak “koleksi” tanaman bunga dimana-mana, maka anda cukup beruntung. Sialnya adalah bila anda tinggal di kota yang cukup urban. Susah sekali menyari suasana yang penuh dengan bunga-bunga indah? Untungnya ada profesi yang namanya florist alias si tukang bunga. Carilah florist terdekat dan belilah bunga darinya. Memang jadi ada tambahan biaya tapi dijamin anda bisa memilih jenis dan kualitas bunga yang sesuai keinginan. Atau mungkin anda juga dapat menanam bunga di sekitar pekarangan rumah anda. Tanamlah bunga-bunga yang menarik untuk difoto. Bunga yang penuh dengan beragam warna agar hasil foto sangat menarik.

2. Jangan memotret bunga dari atas

Kenapa jangan dari atas? karena nantinya akan kelihatan biasa-biasa saja. Cobalah potret dari samping, atau malah dari bawah sekalian seperti foto diatas. Menarik bukan? Cobalah bereksperimen dengan beragam sudut pemotretan, jangan takut mencoba!

3. Basahi bunga atau potretlah setelah hujan

Bunga yang basah atau berembun memiliki keistimewaan tersendiri bagi mata yang melihatnya. Untuk memotret bunga dalam kondisi basah, anda bisa menunggunya setelah hujan atau memotretnya pagi-pagi sekali setelah malam yang berembun. Jika dua kondisi ideal ini tidak terpenuhi, anda toh bisa membasahinya sendiri. Gunakan semprotan bunga dari jarak yang agak jauh dan kalau bisa aturlah agar butiran airnya selembut mungkin supaya tekstur air yang menempel di bunga lembut dan kelihatan alami.

4. Aturlah agar background nyambung dan seirama

Niatan anda memotret bunga adalah untuk menangkap keindahan mereka, untuk itu pastikan obyek utama (bunga) tetap menonjol keindahannya dan tidak dicemari background yang kurang seirama atau terlalu sibuk. Lakukan segala upaya agar anda memperoleh background yang oke: ganti sudut pemotretan, singkirkan background yang mengganggu, pilih aperture besar supaya background jadi blur, atau lakukan pemrosesan menggunakan photoshop untuk membuat background terasa lebih pas.

5. Potretlah secara close-up

Untuk memotret bunga secara close-up anda bisa melakukannya dengan cara: zoom lensa anda sampai maksimum, atau gunakanlah filter close-up, atau kalau anda punya kamera SLR maka anda bisa menggunakan lensa makro. Memotret bunga secara close up membantu membuat background semakin blur dan juga meningkatkan detail yang tertangkap kamera sehingga hasilnya lebih menonjol.

6. Untuk foto super close-up lakukan di dalam ruangan

Foto bunga super close-up menggunakan lensa makro atau filter close-up seperti foto diatas, jika anda melakukanya di luar ruangan maka anda harus menghadapi beberapa tantangan, salah satu yang paling sulit adalah angin. Foto bunga super close-up memiliki jarak fokus yang sangat tipis, jadi begitu angin bertiup dan bunga anda sedikit bergerak saja sudah mengubah titik fokus. Untuk itu, kalau anda bisa membawa bunganya kedalam ruangan supaya resiko tiupan angin hilang maka pekerjaan akan jauh lebih mudah. Selain itu, kita akan lebih mudah mengontrol background (misalnya gunakan kertas atau kain yang warnya sesuai keinginan anda) dan pencahayaan (misalnya gunakan cahaya dari jendela serta beberapa kertas manila sebagai reflektor). Gunakan manual fokus dan gunakan aperture sekecil-kecilnya (f/x; dimana x diset di angka yang terbesar misal f/22 atau f/16), serta gunakan tripod untuk membantu mengkomposisi foto.

NASA Mengirimkan Astronot ke MARS untuk selamanya menetap disana

NASA merencanakan misi yang sangat berani yaitu mengirim sebuah pesawat ruang angkasa berawak dalam perjalanan “pergi tanpa pulang” (one-way trip – perjalanan satu arah) dan menetap secara permanen di planet-planet lain.

Gagasan ambisius ini dikenal dengan nama Hundred Years Starship dan akan mengirim para astronot untuk menjajah planet luar angkasa seperti planet Mars dan perlu kita ketahui bahwa mereka tidak akan pernah bisa pulang.

Direktur NASA Ames, Pete Worden, mengungkapkan bahwa salah satu pusat penelitian NASA, Ames Research Centre, telah menerima dana 1 Juta Pounsterling untuk mulai bekerja pada proyek tersebut. Tim peneliti juga menerima tambahan dana sebesar $ 100.000 dari NASA.

Worden dalam percakapan panjang di sebuah acara di San Fransisco mengatakan, “Kami juga berharap untuk membujuk beberapa milyarder untuk membentuk sebuah yayasan Hundred Years Starship.” Kata Worden. “Program antariksa manusia sekarang benar-benar bertujuan untuk menetap di dunia lain,” dia menambahkan.

Worden mengatakan ia telah membahas harga potensial untuk perjalanan satu arah ke Mars dengan salah satu pendiri Google, Larry Page, bahwa misi tersebut dapat dilakukan dengan dana sebesar $ 10 miliar.

“Jawaban dia (Larry) adalah, ‘Bisakah diturunkan menjadi $ 1 atau $ 2milliar?” jadi sekarang kami mulai mendapat sedikit argumen di atas harga,” lanjut Worden.

Worden juga menyatakan, teknologi baru seperti biologi sintetis dan perubahan genom manusia bisa dieksplorasi di depan misi. Dalam misi tersebut, astronot pertama-tama akan mengunjungi bulan Mars, dimana para ilmuwan dapat melakukan eksplorasi telerobotika secara ekstensif. Dia juga menyatakan bahwa manusia akan menghuni bulan-bulan Mars tahun 2030 nanti.

Kabarnya, penelitian baru menemukan bahwa misi perjalanan manusia satu arah atau perjalanan pergi tanpa pulang ke Mars secara teknologi layak dan akan menjadi pilihan yang lebih murah daripada membawa astronot kembali ke bumi.

Seperti yang dimuat dalam Journal of Cosmology, ilmuwan Dirk Schulze-Makuch dan Paul Davies, mengatakan mereka akan mengirim empat astronot sukarelawan pada misi pertama yang secara permanen menjajah Mars.

Namun dalam misi ini, perjalanan manusia satu arah ke Mars tidak akan dilakukan dalam jangka waktu yang telah ditetapkan seperti dalam program Apollo, tetapi langkah pertama dalam membangun kehadiran manusia menetap di planet tersebut.

Para astronot akan dikirimkan bahan-bahan yang diperlukan dari Bumi secara teratur tetapi mereka diharapkan bisa hidup mandiri di permukaan planet merah itu sesegera mungkin.

Namun demikian, untuk mencapai hal itu akan memerlukan tidak hanya kerja sama internasional, tapi kembali pada semangat eksplorasi dan etos pengambilan resiko, seperti yang dilakukan oleh Columbus sampai Amundsen. Mereka mengakui bahwa misi itu akan dilakukan dengan ‘pertimbangan etis’, dengan persepsi masyarakat umum yang menyatakan bahwa para pionir Mars tersebut dikorbankan dan nasib mereka ditinggalkan.

Tapi mereka berpendapat, penduduk pertama planet Mars akan pergi dengan penuh semangat, sama halnya dengan orang kulit putih pertama yang bermukim di Amerika Utara – bepergian ke negeri yang jauh meski tahu mereka tidak akan pernah kembali ke rumah.

Membandingkan dengan beberapa perintis kenamaan, mereka berkata: “Penjelajah seperti Columbus, Frobisher, Scott dan Amundsen, walaupun mereka tidak memulai perjalanan dengan maksud tinggal di tempat tujuan, namun mereka mengambil risiko pribadi yang besar untuk mengeksplorasi lahan baru, yang kita tahu bahwa ada kemungkinan yang signifikan mereka akan binasa dalam usaha ini.”

PES 2011 Full MANTAP !!!!

ANIMASI
Ketika main, kesan "lamban" yang saya takutkan tidak terjadi. PES 2011 berjalan lancar, seperti anda memainkan PES 2010. Meski di settingnya, tertulis Processor: BAD, tetapi ketika main lancar-lancar saja.
Animasi ketika replay sangat fantastis. Jauh lebih bagus dari PES 2010. Sayangnya, kamera yang bisa kita pakai (sudut permainan) sangat membingungkan. Bila dari sebelumnya (PES 2010 ke bawah) bentuknya datar dari ujung ke ujung (sudut pandang pemain), maka di PES 2011, ketika bola sudah mencapai daerah corner, maka kamera akan menjadi miring (seperti di TV). Ini terjadi di semua jenis kamera (kecuali sudut pandang pemain). Dan ini menjadi satu sisi minus bagi pemain yg sudah akrab dengan PES 2010 ke bawah

KONTROL
Kontrol sangat-sangat buruk sekali. Passing harus secara manual. Jika anda ingin mengumpan kepada pemain di dekat anda, anda harus tahu dimana pemain itu berada. Jika pemain itu di kiri, maka kita harus menekan passing+tombol kiri. Jika pemain itu ada di kanan, maka kita harus menekan passing+tombol kanan. Semua serba MANUAL. Tambah lagi, di passing terdapat bar, kalau bar-nya tinggi, maka passingnya akan keras. Passing manual mungkin bisa membunuh through pass dalam PES sebelum-sebelumnya.

Gameplay
Dribbling cukup bagus, kontroling bola juga cukup bagus, dan gaya membawa bola sudah mirip sepakbola betulan. Untuk gameplay, saya rasa sudah ada peningkatan dari PES sebelumnya.

Tetapi kalian tidak sendirian, karena dalam skenario pertama kalian akan berhadapan penjelajah dari negara lain dan bersaing serta berperang untuk mendapatkan tanah baru. Dan musuh lain dari penduduk amerika asli serta berperang melawan pembajak yang akhirnya menjadi teman kalian.

Seperti game strategy lainnya, membuat sebuah pasukan dibutuhkan sumber daya. Makanan, kayu dan emas menjadi dasar membangun sebuah koloni. Kalian harus mencari sumber tersebut dan digunakan untuk membuat koloni kalian semakin berkembang dan kuat. Dari dana yang kalian miliki, nantinya digunakan untuk membangun pasukan dengan total 200 orang untuk koloni.

Ada dua macam jenis permainan, Campaign dan Skirmish. Campaign adalah jenis permainan yang sifatnya mengikat. Kalian harus menyelesaikan misi yang ada untuk menamatkan permainan ini. Sedangkan Skirmish adalah versi "FreePlay" dari AoE3 ini. Kalian bebas memilih negara yang ingin kalian pakai, dan menentukan negara apa yang akan kalian jadikan sebagai rekan atau musuh. Tujuannya satu, yaitu menaklukkan musuh.

- The black CMD windows will appear. Wait a few seconds until computers restares
once again.
- And that would be all about installation. You are in Windows now.

Activation:
It is not required, because it is OEM. Windows will be premanently activated.
However, it is well known that there is some problems with DELL and HP machines.
So if you have issues with pre-activation you will be forced to some activator
to activate Windows 7.

The only real catch is that the single-player is almost shockingly short. If you've been keeping up with this style of game, you'll probably shoot your way to the credits in under five hours. While you can raise the difficulty to give yourself more of a challenge, the main thing this does is make the enemies frustratingly deadly, which sort of detracts from the fun.

While it may have a lack of single-player quantity, it makes up for most of it with its quality. The game tells its story from multiple perspectives, and you'll play as a new British SAS operative as well as a US Marine. The campaign takes you from a rainy night out at sea on a boat that's in the process of sinking to a missile silo where it's on you to save millions from an unsavory nuclear-powered death. Along the way, there are plenty of jaw-dropping moments where you'll look around the room for someone to whom you can say, "I can't believe that just happened." In a world filled with war games in which the good guys come out unscathed and the world is left at total peace, Call of Duty 4 will wake you up like a face full of ice water.

The action in the campaign is usually very straightforward. You have a compass at the bottom of your screen, and the direction of your current objective is very plainly marked. But getting from point A to point B is never as simple as running in a straight line, as you'll be conducting full-scale assaults in Middle Eastern countries by moving from house to house, taking out what seems like a never-ending stream of enemy troops along the way. You'll also get an opportunity to raid Russian farmhouses in search of terrorist leaders, disguise yourself as the enemy, and, in one sequence, don a brushlike ghillie suit and crawl through the brush as enemy troops and tanks roll right past you. It's a breathtaking moment in acampaign filled with breathtaking moments. Unfortunately, it's about half as long as the average shooter, and there are plenty of sequences where you wish there were just one or two more hills to take.
