My current boss went to great pains to convince me I needed to learn programming if I wanted to succeed. Although I didn’t feel a calling for this my boss encouraged me to register for night classes. Against my better judgment I did.

How many times do we each begin something based on the recommendations of someone else only to find out it is just not right for us? Do we have the courage to admit this fact or do we struggle on because we respect or admire the person who made the recommendation?

Kathleen stated later that, “The impostor syndrome is surprisingly common,” Dr. Young, a Massachusetts-based educator and speaker on the subject, says. “Early studies suggest that up to 70 per cent of all people have experienced these feelings at one time or another, especially when starting a new job or pioneering in a field.”

The greatest we can offer is to walk in our truth and be our authentic self in all we do.

But that’s not the only reason why I am writing this post. I am writing because I am excited about the opportunities that are now available for entrepreneurs to support the charities they are passionate about! Thank you so much Carrie for using your platform to help those people who are less fortunate that yourself. Thank you for having a passion and doing something about it.

I don’t know how much money she raised but I was happy to go to the charity link she gave out http://tinyurl.com/100xMissions and give a small donation to help orphans. It was not much but with the thousands who were on her call and who will listen later the possibilities to raise a lot of money is real.

This is just one more example of the power of Social Media for both business and Social good.
