Actress Brittany Murphy died in the morning of December 20, 2009 due to cardiac arrest.
She was found unconscious in the shower by her mother. She was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and was pronounced dead on arrival.
She was survived by her husband Simon Monjack, her family and friends.
Murphy was known for her movies such as Clueless, 8 mile, Just married, Little black book and the voice of Gloria of Happy Feet.

Hasbro, a multinational toy and boardgame company, launched last September 9, 2009 the MONOPOLY City Streets. The online game was inspired by the latest game board MONOPOLY City. The creators wanted to bring the updated gameplay to life in a unique way and thus, a new online game was born. Within hours since it was launched, about 1.7 million players worldwide were eager to dominate the global real estate.
If you missed the opening day and with only few (uninteresting) blocks to buy, now you’ll have a chance to build your empire. The makers of MONOPOLY City Street restarted the game to address the bugs and slower servers. Some rule tweaks and gameplay improvements will also be observed.
To prepare for the restart, we will be taking down the game on THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 17 at 15:00 GMT. We anticipate that the game will be down for 12 to 24 hours as we reset and test the game. When the site comes back live, the game will restart.

Indigo Productions created this video as part of a challenge by students of Viral Video Workshop at NYU. They hired professional performers from Broadway. It only took an hour to rehearse with only 3 takes to boot.

Here are some of my personal experiences on how to get hired easily in Farm Town . These haven’t failed me so far. I hope you’ll find these useful. It would be great if you add yours below at the comments. Enjoy! 
1) Get a unique name for your avatar. Nicks such as Mike, Jen, and Ram do not give that much impact to other users. Try to avoid unnecessary characters for your nick. It can be annoying at times and will be ignored right away.
2) Be friendly. Greet everyone once you get inside the Marketplace. Give special attention to people who just came in. You can spot them at the center of the game area. If they’re looking for someone to hire, they will notice the first person who greeted them and your chances of being hired increases.
3) Choose a place where you can be easily be seen. My favorite spot is on top of the barrels ;P This area makes you appear that you’re higher than everyone and your messages will float on top of the others.
4) Be creative with your messages. You may start with a greeting using a foreign language (if you know one) such as Aloha and Konnichiwa. This will make your message stand out from the rest. And please, try not to sound desperate like saying “Plsssssssssss hireeeeeeeeeee meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!” multiple times. And also include which part of the marketplace you’re at especially if the room is very crowded.
5) Try not to be picky with the jobs that being offered. Most people whom I worked for do not say what kind of crops they have on their farms. Most of the time you’ll be surprised that you’re about to harvest a sea of pineapples
6) Add buddies you encounter in Farm Town. You can monitor the progress of their crops and can always ask if they need a hand with plowing/harvesting. This will save you time in looking for a job.
7) Say Thank you to the person who hired you.
And lastly,
8 ) Enjoy. This is just a game. If you’re not hired at your first attempt, come back again some other time. Remember, patience is a virtue

Roger Federer (Switzerland) beat Andy Roddick (US) 5-7 7-6 7-6 3-6 16-14 in a marathon that lasted for 4 hours and 15 minutes. This is Federer’s 15th grand slam title and 6th Wimbledon championship title. He also wins £850,000 or almost $1.4 million.
Watching from the Royal box were Pete Sampras, the other tennis player who have 14 grand slams, and Bjorn Borg and Rod Laver.
Federer got back to the #1 seed he lost last year to Rafael Nadal who beat him last 2008 but wasn’t able to defend his title this year because of knee injury.

Actress Farrah Fawcett dies at 62 after battling cancer for almost 3 years. She died before 9:30 am, Thursday, June 25, 2009 in a Santa Monica Hospital. Her longtime partner Ryan O’neal and her best friend Alana Stewart was at her deathbed.
“After a long and brave battle with cancer, our beloved Farrah has passed away,” O’Neal said. “Although this is an extremely difficult time for her family and friends, we take comfort in the beautiful times that we shared with Farrah over the years and the knowledge that her life brought joy to so many people around the world.”

What can I do to protect myself from catching influenza A(H1N1)?
The main route of transmission of the new influenza A(H1N1) virus seems to be similar to seasonal influenza, via droplets that are expelled by speaking, sneezing or coughing. You can prevent getting infected by avoiding close contact with people who show influenza-like symptoms (trying to maintain a distance of about 1 metre if possible) and taking the following measures:
- avoid touching your mouth and nose;
- clean hands thoroughly with soap and water, or cleanse them with an alcohol-based hand rub on a regular basis (especially if touching the mouth and nose, or surfaces that are potentially contaminated);
- avoid close contact with people who might be ill;
- reduce the time spent in crowded settings if possible;
- improve airflow in your living space by opening windows;
- practise good health habits including adequate sleep, eating nutritious food, and keeping physically active.
What about using a mask? What does WHO recommend?
If you are not sick you do not have to wear a mask.
If you are caring for a sick person, you can wear a mask when you are in close contact with the ill person and dispose of it immediately after contact, and cleanse your hands thoroughly afterwards.

If you are sick and must travel or be around others, cover your mouth and nose.
Using a mask correctly in all situations is essential. Incorrect use actually increases the chance of spreading infection.
How do I know if I have influenza A(H1N1)?
You will not be able to tell the difference between seasonal flu and influenza A(H1N1) without medical help. Typical symptoms to watch for are similar to seasonal viruses and include fever, cough, headache, body aches, sore throat and runny nose. Only your medical practitioner and local health authority can confirm a case of influenza A(H1N1).
What should I do if I think I have the illness?
If you feel unwell, have high fever, cough or sore throat:
- stay at home and keep away from work, school or crowds;
- rest and take plenty of fluids;
- cover your nose and mouth when coughing and sneezing and, if using tissues, make sure you dispose of them carefully. Clean your hands immediately after with soap and water or cleanse them with an alcohol-based hand rub;
- if you do not have a tissue close by when you cough or sneeze, cover your mouth as much as possible with the crook of your elbow;
- use a mask to help you contain the spread of droplets when you are around others, but be sure to do so correctly;
- inform family and friends about your illness and try to avoid contact with other people;
- If possible, contact a health professional before traveling to a health facility to discuss whether a medical examination is necessary.
Should I take an antiviral now just in case I catch the new virus?
No. You should only take an antiviral, such as oseltamivir or zanamivir, if your health care provider advises you to do so. Individuals should not buy medicines to prevent or fight this new influenza without a prescription, and they should exercise caution in buying antivirals over the Internet.

What about breastfeeding? Should I stop if I am ill?
No, not unless your health care provider advises it. Studies on other influenza infections show that breastfeeding is most likely protective for babies – it passes on helpful maternal immunities and lowers the risk of respiratory disease. Breastfeeding provides the best overall nutrition for babies and increases their defense factors to fight illness.
When should someone seek medical care?
A person should seek medical care if they experience shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, or if a fever continues more than three days. For parents with a young child who is ill, seek medical care if a child has fast or labored breathing, continuing fever or convulsions (seizures).
Supportive care at home – resting, drinking plenty of fluids and using a pain reliever for aches – is adequate for recovery in most cases. (A non-aspirin pain reliever should be used by children and young adults because of the risk of Reye’s syndrome.)
Should I go to work if I have the flu but am feeling OK?
No. Whether you have influenza A(H1N1) or a seasonal influenza, you should stay home and away from work through the duration of your symptoms. This is a precaution that can protect your work colleagues and others.
Can I travel?
If you are feeling unwell or have symptoms of influenza, you should not travel. If you have any doubts about your health, you should check with your health care provider.
