It is always exciting to hear from past clients that they’ve had another new baby join their family! I photographed Jack’s big sister 18 months ago and was very excited to hear she’s now a big sister. She has grown so much and is just the sweetest doting big sister. Jack is just the cutest little guy and I am so thrilled I was able to snuggle with him on Sunday. Thank you for inviting me into your home to photograph your new little man. It was a pleasure!

This is the fourth year I have photographed this gorgeous family for their holiday cards. Two years ago they agreed to join me outdoors in some massive rain and were such troopers. This year, there was a little slush on the ground, 40 degrees and we shot between rain showers. They put up with a lot with me and I love them for it! Thanks for being so wonderful! Thanks for being so much fun.

When I was pregnant with my son, almost 5 years ago now, I met a woman in my toddler-mommy class. We very quickly became friends. Sadly, she had to move out of state not long after. A few weeks before they moved though, I shot my very first session for her girls (then age 1 and almost 3). I have stayed friends with this family since the move 4 years ago and our friendship continues to go stronger. I am so blessed they came into my life.
This past weekend, I was beyond excited to fly to San Antonio, Texas to photograph her beautiful family once again! Christina lost her daddy just a few short weeks ago, so the theme of family means all the more right now. It is those ties that last a lifetime and mean so much that are so important. I consider Christina and her family part of my own family and for this I am grateful.

I have been anxiously awaiting the arrival of this beautiful peanut. I think I found out the week her mommy got the great news that she was expecting her…so it has been a while! Mom and Dad waited to find out the gender and it was so exciting to find out and finally get to meet her this morning! I am so honored that I was able to photograph her!

I hope you love them! I can’t wait to watch this lovely baby girl grow up!

I get so excited every time I get to photograph a newborn baby. Who doesn’t love getting to hold a baby? It is truly one of the best parts of my job. Harper’s family brought her over this morning and she is just beautiful! She has gorgeous blue eyes and a full head of lovely brown hair. I could have kept her all day (notice I do not want to be up with a newborn in the night!).

Thank you for allowing me to spend time with you this morning and capture your beautiful baby girl!

Katie and Nelson truly have a lifetime of memories and moments leading up to their wedding day last weekend. They have been together since they were in high school and they were surrounded by family and friends to show their love and commitment to each other! I feel so thankful that I was able to celebrate the day with them and capture these memories! Congratulations!

I know I have said it before, but I love senior sessions! Tonight’s was no exception. Tyler and his mom were just so nice, relaxed and down to earth. Tyler has this great little park down the street that I was so happy to find too. It had a fun pond and beautiful trees everywhere. Tyler also is plays a mean guitar! Seattle has been teasing us with our weather. I am thrilled that the sun held on for me to shoot Abby’s senior portraits yesterday. I photographed Abby and her family last fall and was so excited to be asked to capture her senior portraits! Abby is such a beautiful girl and has this wonderful permanent smile on her face!

Living in Snoqualmie, Washington can make you feel somewhat isolated at times. We do not have a very many stores or resturaunts. We are however blessed with gorgeous views and an amazing golf course. The Snoqualmie Ridge TPC Golfcourse gets to host the annual Boeing Classic! Fred Couples is just one of the tremendous golfers who comes to wow our audiences!

Many people look up to and admire these golfers. The Jeremy Bloom’s Wish of a Lifetime took it upon themselves to make the wish of one of these people come true last week. They worked very hard to make the wish of a 91 year old woman, Helen, to meet her idol Fred Couples. I feel very lucky to have been able to work with Helen and Wish of a Lifetime to make this dream of hers come true!

Doesn’t Helen look fantastic for 91?? She and her husband were avid golfers and it was so neat to be a part of this dream come true!

{Mukilteo-Snoqualmie Family Photographer} | Back to where it started….

My very first session when I was portfolio building took place on the beach at the Mukilteo Lighthouse. When I was contacted last month to photograph a family there, it just seemed perfect! I was so excited to get back to the spot where Julie Lewis Portraits really started.

Mom and Dad are in the US Coast Guard and we were going to use the beautiful light house for a background. A bride and groom stole the show from us though so we moved down the beach for some play time. Sweet Norah loved throwing rocks and sand. She was a tough cookie but the smiles she snuck in were just gorgeous! I had a great evening with them and they were so wonderful, laid back and go with the flow….you can’t ask for more!!
