Following is an article I found while searching Google Scholar:

Concentrated rice polysaccharide peptides in Alfa PXP may help Type 2 diabetes by increased ATP

(Citation: Rate of Cellular Energy Production Lower in Persons at Risk for Type 2 Diabetes. New Haven, Connecticut. August 2005)

The rate of insulin-stimulated energy production is significantly reduced in the muscles of lean, healthy young adults who have already developed insulin resistance and are at increased risk of developing diabetes later in life, according to a Yale School of Medicine study.

The new research by Gerald Shulman, MD, professor of internal medicine, endocrinology, and senior author of the study, indicates that a decreased ability to burn sugars and fats efficiently is an early and central part of the diabetes problem. The new data also suggest that the basic defect lies within the mitochondria, which are the energy factories inside cells that produce most of the chemical power needed to sustain life.

The young adults studied by the research team are the offspring of parents who have type 2 diabetes, adding support to the idea that the risk can be inherited and that the problem begins well before diabetes symptoms become evident. The researchers observed that the mitochondria in the subjects' muscle cells responded poorly to insulin stimulation. Normal mitochondria react to insulin by boosting production of an energy-carrying molecule, ATP, by 90%. But the mitochondria from the insulin-resistant people they tested only boosted ATP production by 5%.

The above findings explain to me why Alfa PXP is so effective among diabetics. PXP increases cellular ATP by 54%, JUST WHAT A DIABETIC NEEDS!
Feed Your Cell

FOR INFORMATION ON ENZACTA PROMOTIONS FILL OUT THE FOLLOWING:

She wondered if I could help her explain to her potential diabetic clients why Alfa PXP, a long chain polysaccharide peptide, will not make their blood sugar go up, or interfere with their diabetic treatment in any way.

I got a call from an Enzacta distributor today. She wondered if I could help her explain to her potential diabetic clients why Alfa PXP, a long chain polysaccharide peptide, will not make their blood sugar go up, or interfere with their diabetic treatment in any way. They are by necessity carbohydrate counters and there is no carb info on the PXP bottle.

Here's the deal:

Glucose is liberated from dietary carbohydrate such as starch or sucrose by hydrolysis within the small intestine and is then absorbed into the blood. Elevated concentrations of glucose in blood stimulate release of insulin, and insulin acts on cells thoughout the body to stimulate uptake, utilization and storage of glucose.

In other words, insulin is required for the metabolism of carbohydrates.

One of the most fabulous attributes of Alfa PXP is that IT IS SO TINY IT SLIPS THROUGH THE CELL MEMBRANE, RIGHT INTO THE MITOCHONDRION WITHOUT BEING METABOLIZED!! There is no increase in blood glucose, there is no physiological cry-out for insulin.

The majority of my clients take PXP for blood sugar issues and across the board it has helped a great deal. I have one client who proudly says: "I take only PXP and I can eat anything I want!" (She was formerly insulin-dependent) My own blood sugar was hovering around 100 the last few years. After a few months on PXP it has come down to 75, right where it should be.

There have been studies done on diabetic patients which I've posted HERE

Humic/Fulvic acid Lesson 201 - prevention for H1N1

It's time to ramp it up. I'm going back to plants, but it's time to put on your thinking caps. Here's what we need to know as our foundation: Fulvic acid is derived from the degradation of humic substances. Micro-organisms are essential to this process. Let's proceed: Organic (living) substances enhance plant circulatory, respiratory and transportation systems. They decrease plant stress and premature deterioration.

They improve seed germination and promote root growth. They increase resistance to drought and insect infestation.

High molecular weight humic substances (partially decomposed plant and vegetable matter) serve as food for micro-organisms. These micro-organisms break the humus down into lower molecular weight substances including humic acids and fulvic acids.

That's all clear enough. Below is a list of benefits to plants in soils high in fulvic acid:

*stimulate metabolism

*positive effect on RNA & DNA

*act as catalyst in respiration

*increase metabolism of proteins

*enhance permeability of cell membranes

*enhance cell division and cell elongation

*aid chlorophyll synthesis

*increase drought tolerance and prevent wilting

*increase crop yields

*assist denitrification by microbes

*buffer soil pH

*contribute electrochemical balance as a donor or an acceptor

*synthesis new minerals

*chemically weather inorganic substances

*decompose silica to release essential mineral nutrients

*detoxify various pollutants (pesticides, herbicides)

FEED-YOUR-CELL.COM

By TwitterButtons.com

Some scientists have taken an interest in studying the properties of fulvic acid as an electrolyte and claim that it is the finest electrolyte they have ever known. As an electrolyte, fulvic acid assists with enzyme production, hormone structures and is essential in the utilization of vitamins. It is necessary in metabolic processes. It maintains the ideal environment for dissolved mineral complexes, elements and cells to bio-react electronically with one another, causing electron transfer, catalytic reactions, and transmutations into new minerals. All organisms on earth - vegetative and animals both - fight against disease. Defense mechanisms during decomposition of living matter is at its height. There are many cycles of decomposition, each cycle resulting in a smaller water soluble organic substance, the smallest of which is fulvic acid.
I'm going to talk, in short, about two of the amazing attributes of fulvic acid: Fulvic acid is the smallest, most complex naturally occurring water soluble substance on earth. Fulvic acid makes water more active and penetrable, assisting it in its job of dissolving and transporting nutrients into the cell and waste products out of the cell. Fulvic acid also helps to neutralize toxins and invaders. FEED-YOUR-CELL.COM By TwitterButtons.com

When inorganic minerals come into contact with fulvic acid they dissolve into an ionic form and become part of the fulvic acid complex, making them organic, bioavailable, as well as bioactive. In other words, fulvic acid turns otherwise dangerous elemental minerals into a form that is safe and usable by man and beast.

Modern farmers are are forced to produce high yields and in order to do so high amounts of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium are added to the soil. When high amounts of nitrates are present protein formation is increased. An overabdundance of amino acids can attract insects. Enter the need for insecticides.

Another reason modern plants fail to nourish us is because the soil has been depleted of microbes which are necessary for plants to convert inorganic substances to organic. Without this conversion, plants become deficient in minerals.

Now - just a tidbit about fulvic acid, which is "a water-soluble, natural organic substance of low molecular weight which is derived from humus, often found in surface water." ~ Water Quality Association

Sources of plant-derived minerals are called humate deposits and if they contain water-soluble, bioavailable elements they will also contain high amounts of humic acids. Fulvic acid is on of several subclasses of humic acids.

Humic acids are composed of a mixture of partially decomposed organic materials which have the ability to chelate positively charged ions, such as elemental minerals that are absorbed by plants. This allows plants to store vitamins and minerals and helps to increase their bioavailability.
