According to the report the problem is only getting worse. From 2007 to 2009, 2.4 million more adults became overweight. This report doesn&#8217;t include all the children that are overweight. </p>
<p>What are some causes of weight gain? Specific nutrients are needed to allow optimal balance and improve our metabolism. If there is an imbalance of hormones and nutrients, gaining weight can occur. We are surrounded by a variety of toxins. All of these deter the normal uptake and utilization of nutrients, carbohydrates and proteins. Toxins accumulate in the bowel and liver which do not allow stubborn fat to be released.
