 Area 1 has a fantastic collection of 60 free Wordpress themes to download.  The site also has some very nice tutorials so be sure to check it out.  I really like the “vintage” theme.

All designers at some point are going to need some stationary images to work with.  Especially  to keep up with the latest design trends.  The first place to head is stock xchng  where you will find a number of free jpg images to help.  You will have to join but it is free.  At psdrockstar.com alot of these can be viewed for quick reference.
