September came and we have a brunch at Nikko Hotel in Tumon, Guam.

It was kinda cloudy and seems the rain would drop but we had fun both inside and outside with my niece and nephew.

Kelly Mariano's Fourth birthday celebration.

Celebrated my niece's 4th birthday just awhile ago at Capricciosa Pacific Place in Lower Tumon. We enjoyed pizza, seafood spaghetti, and combination of tiramisu and a squash base cake.

Of all of us my niece, Kelly, was the happiest. It is so sweet to hear a word of appreciation from the mouth of the young one, "Thank you mommy for the party!"

My brother-in-law have his old college friend as a guest and we decided to try out Alize Restaurant for brunch and to our delight a magician and a Singer entertain us with the new setup of Alize Restaurant.

The Food!!!!

I was only able to get pictures of the sushi assortment because my mouth is already watering to eat the delicious dishes. Besides Sushi, Alize Restaurant also offers Chamarro & Filipino fusion food, Salad bar, Bread and other bakery products, an omelet station, and the new tempura station which only cooks what you choose to have a fresh and crispy tempura delivered to your table. Also don't forget the dessert comprising of various cakes, local sweets, the Pinoy halo-halo, fruits, ice cream, and small stuff you can dip in chocolate. Drinks range from soda, ice tea, fruit juices, coffee and tea.

The mainstay entertainment provided by DST Music production with the owner singer Shirley performs and sings old time favorites and new hits while you enjoy the food and ambiance of Alize Restaurant.

I have been seeing this waiting shed/Bus Stop that has this nice art but when I get the chance to take a picture of it, it was vandalized. It has this spray paint but still the art stands out, I hope kids wont vandalized it further.

Bayview Hotel in Lower Tumon Guam has this tile mural and I finally have the change to photograph it.

Fourth of July at Fujita Beach and more

My co-workers out of the blue suddenly decided to take advantage of the holiday on July 4th that fell on hump day.

And for the first time according to the senior employees, this will be the very first time we are having a beach office party.

With my camera and my new tripod, I decided just to be the photographer and not swim... yes the waters at Fujita beach was clear and calm, it was high tide in the early hours but suddenly after 8:00 am it was low tide, and we were lucky to get a good spot thanks to kuya Carlos for being there at 5:45 am.

Without further delay here are some of my snapshots.

Lunch at Sushi Rock in Micronesia Mall, Dededo

For a change from eating food court lunch by myself, I checked out Sushi Rock in Micronesia Mall here in Dededo, Guam.

I was not able to get lots of pictures but was able to get a picture of the sushi I ordered besides my 2 combo bento box(yup I got a big meal and I even saw close family on my way home commenting that I got bulkier)

I present now the sushi bon appetit!

I was making several photo shoot at this set when the restaurant manager interrupted me asking if I would like to photograph the miso soup as well. Funny guy.

If I don't feel like going home yet or would just like to sip coffee while browsing the worldwide web, I go to Coffee Beanery at Micronesia mall because it is the nearest one to where I live.

The baristas here are wondering because I always order coffee base drinks and also hot drinks. They wonder how do I manage to get to sleep after drinking coffee at evening. Well coffee is my addiction and yup I am a late sleeper.

Fire Tree at Lower Tumon

Have been planning to photograph the fire trees in Lower Tumon and the ones that are in bloom are in The Reef Hotel and Hyatt.

The one in Hyatt which I took pictures after eating breakfast at Burker King right across Tumon Sands.

The images I took in Hyatt is a bit blurry. I guess the bright sun cause it or I am not just good yet at adjusting the settings for landscape settings.

In between shooting the fire trees I got some other pictures enjoy!

I am still shy in taking pictures of passing people. Probably that would be my next project. It would be nice if I can catch the emotion of those walking or jogging in Lower Tumon, Guam.

I decided to get my usual dose of Java at Coffee Beanery in Micronesia Mall instead of my usual Sunday coffee at Infusion.

While coming in I saw a co-worker and also passed by ABC store to check the price of my possible pasalubong but its kinda pricey will check some other possible pasalubong which is more lighter on the luggage and of course the pocket.

While walking can't help but point and shoot some pictures but I was hesitant on some because 1) its a public place and 2) I might be charge with taking pictures without permit.

Predator vs. Alien

This two metal sculptures from scrap metal usually from engine parts to utensils is so detailed and actually life size if you don't really check out out you might mistake it that its real.

After getting my Sunday grocery was able to take some photos in the parking lot just outside Payless Supermarket. There is one section in Payless Supermarket that I wanted to photograph that is the vegetable section. I like how the tomatoes and all veggies are arranged. Next time I will take a photo and I hope the security wont stop me though.

Infusion Coffee & Tea located across Nissan in Upper Tumon is my weekly hangout place one because of Jamaican Blue Mountain Coffee in a French press(I think they are the only one offering coffee in French press here in Guam) and second is because of the ambiance.

If you have been in their coffee shop you will find a unique interior with the photos and some unique wall designs. I was able to get some pictures on a not so busy day, was hoping to get more pictures but I don't want to disturb or intrude to some of their clients privacy in their coffee or chat time.

Below are some images I took hope you like them:

If I get a chance will try to take more photos of the interior. But for now lets enjoy my Jamaican Blue Mountain shall we.

You know the Slingshot right?

I was trying to fool my friends who are not in Guam by taking a picture of the Slingshot from afar and trying out blur the strings and the pole so that it would look like a UFO. It look like one when I posted the picture in Facebook but when viewed at full image size the strings and the pole are there.

But in case you get to Guam for whatever reason why don't you try riding the Slingshot.

The image below is the one I was trying to use to fool my non-Guam resident friends but they have a very good eye.

How high could this be?

It's been a long time since I posted some pictures about Guam. Well now that I have my handy dandy Canon T3i(I dont know why they nickname it "Rebel") I have revisited the famous Lower Tumon today making the stroll at around 10:00 am and luckily is not yet a so busy time. Usually tourist like Japanese, Koreans, some Filipinos, some howlies, and a very few Russians stroll here to shop.

We just had a Sunday lunch buffet at Taste in The Westin Hotel here in Guam.

We were about to leave the hotel when my nephew asked if we can see the view of the pool and these is what we have seen(sorry for the blurry pictures I was only able to grab my Nokia C3-00 to shoot a few images)

He made a funny comment, we were in the Westin but what we can see is a beautiful view of Nikko Hotel.

I was not able to get a picture of the restaurant were we had our lunch. The restaurant is called Taste here is a picture from the web.

Burger King In Lower Tumon, Guam

Got my breakfast awhile ago in Burger King Lower Tumon and was able to get some pictures. This Burger King Resto is in the heart of Lower Tumon, if you are near Holiday Inn, Hyatt, or Tumon Sands and just wanted to grab a bite or maybe craving for a burger they are just right there.

So guys always respect the WHOOPER!!!!

Nice interiors conducive for eating a peaceful and enjoyable breakfast specially with a cup of coffee

I was walking in Micronesia Mall this Sunday. I heard that a new shoe is in town. The name is not known to me but news said this shoe is comfortable. Its made with cork sole leather body and some buckle or two just like there sales pitch as shown in there website:

The store's name is Collado in the first floor of Micronesia Mall. Check it out. This shoe brand might be the shoe that you have looking for. The cork sole gives the comfort at the same time it takes the shape of your foot. Some are made cloth like material allowing your foot to breathe.

I have been planning to take pictures of Tumon along the San Vitores road and also the Tumon Bay. I got A chance this morning to wake up early, about 4:45 am, but to my disappointment the sun was not up early today. I contented myself taking pictures of the different places I have been in Tumon. The dim light makes it hard for me to get a good shot so I just click any chances I got.

Holiday Inn, I parked the pickup here. Its kinda safe here and that I was planning to walk along the beach but it was too dark
