If Dan Hardy can upset Mike Swick at UFC 105 he will earn a title shot against GSP. If his family has a hard time now understanding his new found fame. What will happen when he is headlining a pay per view and challenging for a title?

Matt Riddle’s “Riddlemania” is taking over. It’s going to the UK to face Nick Osipczak at UFC 105. Riddle is 3-0 in the UFC and could be on the verge of a big fight if he should happen to beat Osipczak in his backyard.

ATO has learned through a source close to the HIT squad that Matt Hughes has been approached to face Renzo Gracie in February at UFC 109.

Renzo Gracie last competed in February 2007 when he defeated Frank Shamrock via disqualification. Gracie has won his last three fights since falling to BJ Penn in 2005. The layoff in between fights could be a problem for Gracie.

Hughes has been lying low since his big win over rival Matt Serra at UFC 98. He had signed a new seven fight deal back in September but he has yet to return to the octagon despite being called out by Josh Koscheck and other rising welterweights. Hughes is 2-3 in his last five fights and a matchup against an older fighter like Renzo could be very favorable.

A limited number of each will be available at Toys R Us in time for the Holidays. Other retailers across North America will stock UFC Series 1 beginning in January. The fighters that will be featured are Chuck Liddell, George St. Pierre, Rashad Evans, Kenny Florian, Clay Guida and Lyoto Machida.

Mike Swick has his hands full with Dan Hardy in Manchester. Hardy will have the UK crowd in the palm of his hand. If Swick can overcome Hardy’s homefield advantage and get the win he is guaranteed a shot at UFC welterweight champ Georges St. Pierre.

Last month Ryan Jimmo faced off against his biggest test to date against UFC veteran Marvin Eastman. Jimmo had won nine straight fights coming into to MFC 22 and was looking for number ten. After spending a lot of time on his back the last two rounds and getting tagged in some exchanges Jimmo was worried that after three rounds he didn’t do enough to get the win. But after his name was announced as the winner Jimmo did something that is unprecedented in MMA. He declared that he thought opponent won the fight.

“I am disappointed in my performance,” said Jimmo. “I will always be disapointed in my performance in every match I have I think. I thought I had lost that fight against Marvin Eastman in the MFC. I was very surprised that they announced my name as the winner at the time.”

But after watching the fight Jimmo had a change of heart. “After I got to watch the fight I felt that I deserved the win, “said Jimmo. “I dominated the stand up even though I wasn’t active as I should’ve been. I dominated the clinch landing some good elbows and knees to the body as well as the head. Out of the two takedowns that Marvin got I initiated one of them and he only spent 4-41/2 min on top not landing anything substantial in that time. Marvin is a great fighter and I think I was just being hard on myself thinking I didn’t do good enough.”

“I want to apologize if I was disrespectful to the judges of the MFC or the organization itself by declaring that I lost that fight. I just set very high standards for myself and never seem to be happy with my performance. It was a very close fight and a very hard job judging a fight like that. Disrespect was the farthest thing from my mind.”

Now that he has won ten in a row Jimmo feels he is on his way up the ladder. “I think the win over Eastman will catapult me into a new level of fighters to face and it will encourage me to bring my level up as well,” said Jimmo. “I’m only at 75% of my max potential. I’m just still learning MMA. This is the tip of the iceberg. In 5 years I feel I’ll be untouchable.” Even though he realizes he is still evolving he has lofty goals. “I think I can be in the top 10 in the world and another 2-3 years to sit on top of the highest mountain.”

Jimmo’s goal is to fight the best and ultimately make it back to the UFC. Jimmo had a shot on The Ultimate Fighter season 8 but lost a decision to Antwain Britt and didn’t make it into the house. Now he has signed to a four fight deal with the MFC but has an opt out clause should the UFC come calling. He has had talks with Strikforce but nothing materialized.

Keep an eye out for Jimmo he is “A Big Deal”.

“King Mo” Lawal has signed with Strikeforce and should be fighting Mike Whitehead in December in San Jose. He smashed Mark Kerr in his last fight. Lawal is famous for his online feud with former UFC light heavyweight champ Rampage Jackson.

Very cool to see backstage and behind the curtain at the big Strikeforce show. Sokoudjou looked very upset following his loss to Gegard Mousasi. Fedor Emelianenko looked intense before he walked out to fight Brett Rogers in the main event.
