Hello

Well some say that you can activate the 4th core on a Phenom II X3, isn’t that great!!! There’s another rumor that you can activate 2 cores on an Athlon X2 7750 black edition as well. The trick is if you have mainborad with a SB 710 or higher Southbridge setting up “Advanced clock calibration” to either all cores or auto might do the trick but then again this an “IF” your disabled core/s are in a defective state.

How to Reduce Your Carbon Footprint at Home

Our planet is on the path to destruction and total resource depletion although this might not happen in the next 100 years signs are appearing all over the world. So we must start listening to our planet and help her survive from now on. Below is a list of how you can save energy and make an effort in reducing the carbon footprint you make. Saving earth is saving mankind and all other species on the planet. So please try to make an effort which will help you and the generations to come.

1. Replace light bulbs
An average household dedicates 5% to 10% of its energy budget to lighting. Replacing an incandescent light bulb with compact fluorescents can save up to 80% of that energy used and they last 6 times longer. Another benefit is it puts out more light while using less power and less heat.

2. Recycle
Proper recycling does a great deal to help save natural resources needed to make future products. For instance recycling 1 ton of paper can save 17 full grown trees and 3000-4000 Kwh among other things. Also try recycling, food scraps, and electronics that could get thrown away. Composting will help reduce the amount of food waste in your garbage and create nutrient-rich fertilizer for your garden.

3. Standby
Another way to save energy is by using appliances and electrical equipment when ever needed only. For instance make your PC go on standby when not working another is using an A/C only when needed and trying to use a fan other times.

4. Plant a tree
Plant one tree at a time. Trees absorb CO2 in the air, producing oxygen as a by-product. As they age, they absorb even more. A single tree provides enough oxygen for 2 people for their entire lives. So, plant a tree and help save the planet in the process.

With the release of the 3^rd trailer of “Transformers: Revenge of the fallen” moviegoers get a more detailed look inside the story line. And by far this has been the best trailer yet. Moviegoers also feel a certain amount of tension when they see Mudflap getting almost sucked into what appears to be Devastator’s vortex grinder and the outcome. As you can remember in the 2007 movies Optimus had a tough time battling Megatron and in this movie Megatron is stronger due to the absorption of fragments from the allapsrk. Rounding things up it is one movie you can not miss.

.......The infinity Essence was unveiled at the Geneva motor show 2009 and it was a head turner. The concept hybrid car produces 592 horsepower which it gets from a conventional 434 horsepower 3.7L V6 engine and a 158 horse power electric motor. Infinity the luxury car division of Nissan Motor Co. Ltd is pushing more towards hybrids in wake of new regulations in cutting green house gases. In some peoples opinion the Essence takes tips and a bit of design from the amazing Nissan GT-R but only time will tell. For the moment let’s sit back and enjoy this beautiful piece of engineering.

F-35 Lightning II hacked!!!

The network of the US department of defense was hacked and a few terabytes of data were stolen. The files regarding the new 5^th generation multi strike aircraft F-35 Lightning II were hacked according to the department of defense. The US believes it was the done by hackers in China according to the IPs which were tracked. This situation is in the awake of recent hackings in to the US power grid, water utilities, and the financial industry. Makes one think of the possibility of a fire sale concept used I the 2007 movie Die Hard 4. but on a positive note hackers failed to obtain information regarding the F-35’s sensors, system controls and stealth technology because the information regarding these systems were on a non networked system.

The US government will now take measures to increase security to prevent such incidents in the future especially when top secret and valuable information is always targeted. A defense contract is awarded by carefully evaluating the contractor’s attributes among which the kind of security steps taken in safeguarding information related to a project. After the attacks reviews will be carried out to assure that such attacks will not happen in the future.

Swine flu is an influenza strain that has mutated and started to spread in some parts of the world, confirmed cases have been reported from the U.S. , México, New Zealand, United Kingdom, Canada, Spain, Costa Rica and Israel with possibilities reaching other countries as well. As of mid April a number of deaths have been recorded from these countries. The center for disease control and prevention (CDC) listed Tamiflu and Relenza as medication for both prevention and a cure. A list of symptoms is listed below

As I previously stated this site is about a wide Varity of articles for anyone and I received a request for an article on UFOs so I decided to dig a bit regarding the subject. The mystery of whether UFOs exist is still out there. But taking into consideration of the sightings and the unexplained phenomena one might think twice before dismissing the notion all together. Although there are some hieroglyphics with certain symbols resembling UFOs it is still yet to be validated. Since the 1800s sightings have been increasing throughout the world and only about 5-20% are unexplained others sightings are explained as mealy weather balloons, atmospheric optical phenomena and in some cases elaborate hoaxes etc… the US and some other governments have looked into the matter such as the US “Project Blue Book”, “The majestic 12” also knows as “MJ 12” but know conclusive evidence has been found or not yet declassified so the debate is still open.

Most in the paranormal and ufology communities believe that the acceleration in technology that mankind has achieved in the past 100 years is a direct link to the UFO phenomena. One of the hypothesis is that during the past 100 years the capturer and study of alien technology has lead to the current trend in technological advancements, most of which has been done through reverse-engineering. In one case it is stated that a captured UFO had what seemed to be fibers that carried light inside of them. This could be a description of fiber optic communication. Although the fiber optic concept was 1^st demonstrated in 1840s by Daniel Colladon and Jacques Babinet it was not until the 1940s and 50s it was used in a more profound manner.

Another popular belief is that UFO research and/or reverse engineering brought mankind into the atomic age with the success of the “Manhattan Project”. Research and development that led to breakthroughs which help and improve lives of mankind is welcomed but if and it be true developments in weapons of mass destruction means that know matter how much mankind leaps forward in technology it still lacks basic fundamentals and ethics in a broad sense.

Alien life is truly out there considering the possibility of planetary systems in the universe. That saying basic life forms could and must be evolving in the cosmos even now, but the possibility of a life form that has evolved which possesses capabilities of interstellar or intergalactic travel are at best astronomical. But who knows we might have encountered such beings after all and one should always keep an open mind.

No conclusion can be reached by this small article but always keep an open mind to the possibilities and one day lets hope that science fiction regarding aliens will be fact in a good manner.

AMD vs Intel

I have been an AMD fan for about 8 years now. This wasn’t the case durig the PIII era, the last Intel rig I had was a PIII running at 550 MHz but then came the Athlons and Durons and I got the chance to compare the early P4s and Athlons. I was very skeptical about amd but it was a different story after the comparison I did in performance, price etc… im not an expert but amd made me change sides. The Sony Ericsson Idou is still not on the market but hopefully by the 3^rd quarter of this year it will be. When you first take a look at it all you see is the amazing 3.5 inch screen and with the advertised 16 million colors it displays it will be a great experience. But it does not end there because when you read the specs you will definitely see the 12 MP cam with xenon flash and auto focus which will make you think that you don’t need to go out and buy a digital cam because you already have one on your phone.
